Communication: I tried following the number in their VM to text for an appointment, but didn't hear back. I followed up several days later and was able to make an appointment for a potentially minor issue with my car. Once I was rolling, their communication picked up but was still pretty sparse. I had no idea if this was a one hour job, a one day job, or more. Time: I dropped my car first thing on a Wednesday at my appt time and didn't receive it back until Friday afternoon. There was no real time-consuming issue, I feel like they just never really got around to it which was a bummer. To their credit, they did confirm with me that it would be OK to stay an extra day (I have an e-bike so it worked out fine in the end) but that's a long time for what was a quick repair. Value: Good value, I felt the price I paid was fair for the work. Issue: I think my issues with the car will remain, however. I expressly told them about a sound and how to re-create the sound, and they claimed they never heard it. I can go out right now and make it happen clear as day, so again I feel like they just didn't really try to figure it out. I'll have to find someone else who can tackle it. I really, really needed to find a nice mechanic who I could trust after my good one closed and was so hopeful here, but ultimately it fell pretty flat. Not sure if I'd go back or recommend them.

I was quoted one price by the head repairman (who runs the shop when the owner is out) prior to working on my car. After the work was done, I was quoted a new price by the owner which was almost $300 more. Not only was I overcharged for labor I did not approve to be done on my car prior, they also broke a valve on my engine. Instead of notifying me about it and fixing what they broke, they decided to GLUE the hose over the broken valve hole with a silicone adhesive. This of course wore off over time and caused my car to break down only 4 months later! They are the only shop to EVER do work on my engine/spark plugs prior to my car breaking down again 4 months later for the very reason they overcharged me to fix! To overcharge me, speak to me condescendingly, and to break something without properly fixing it is such a horrible way to run a business.

I brought my 2011 Toyota Camry to Toy Tech after my check engine light came on due to an O2 sensor…read morecode. I paid $158 for a diagnostic and was told the downstream O2 sensor was faulty. Although I was informed that the upstream sensor was not currently failing, I was encouraged to replace both at the same time. I chose to replace only the downstream sensor since that was identified as the source of the issue. Approximately six days after the repair, the check engine light returned. When I contacted the shop, I was advised that the upstream O2 sensor would now need to be replaced at an additional cost of $404. When I asked whether there could be another underlying cause, I did not feel my questions were thoroughly addressed. I decided to seek a second opinion from another repair facility. They diagnosed the problem as an exhaust leak. After repairing the exhaust leak for $160, the check engine light has remained off and the issue has been resolved. I understand that automotive diagnostics can sometimes require further evaluation; however, I am disappointed that the original diagnostic did not identify the exhaust leak and that additional part replacements were recommended before the root cause was determined. Based on my experience with Toytech, I would advise others to consider obtaining a second opinion before authorizing further repairs.
