This store is owned by the loveliest woman and is a well curated bead shop with Preciosa and Czech crystal beads. Stephanie teaches classes and will give you help and tips if you come in and ask questions. The selection is great but I do miss some of the curated small quantity customs beads. I know crystals sell, so I don't mind, but I used to get the MOST unique beads there! The store is clean, well organised and a great place to spend an afternoon. The value is comparable to other bead shops and it's so convenient if you just need a few beads to finish a project. I will say, the crystals are pricey, but they'd be close to the same price at pretty much any bead specific store and if you're just making a pair of earrings or a bracelet you can't go wrong shopping here! read more

I presented three different projects for Stephanie. I dropped off yesterday afternoon with an expectation for pick up before closing time. Each project was completed both professionally and in a timely manner. The inventory with her store was phenomenal. Both of my visits saw women sitting at the center table in conversations about their different artistry projects. The cost of each project was priceless. What a perfect place to create, explore, shop, and interact with talented individuals. Everything is extremely well organized, clean, clearly priced, and beautiful! I came here with the kids to explore some unique beads and perhaps make a necklace. The owner, Stephanie, was so cordial, patient, and hands-on as she guided us through making one-of-a kind creations. She helped them with the proper tools, findings, and assisted in adding in the clasps. This place is for sure worth visiting, either to create something of your own, or purchase a creation made already. Just a lovely business, and a calming atmosphere. Just dropped by last week after I broke my new necklace. A group of people were sitting around a table working on projects and talking. The owner (I believe) greeted me and asked if I needed help. I showed her the broken chain and explained that I have no experience fixing jewelry. She told me it was no problem and offered to fix the chain. She was done in a couple minutes and it looks great. I offered to pay her and she told me it really didn't take very long. It wasn't a big deal and have a nice day. They have a lovely selection of beads in different jewelry pieces. They were able to restring my necklace using heartier wire. This was completed quickly and at a very reasonable price. I was so pleased to find this lovely bead store here in town last week. Bead Artistry was a comfortable and cool breath of air on a very hot weekday. The aura was so inviting, and several friendly ladies were seated at a center table quietly working on their individual projects. Stephanie immediately asked if I needed some assistance, and then she answered all of my questions about my small project that I was working on. She even suggested that I come back when I was close to finished so that she could help me with the finishing touches, ( the offer which I gratefully accepted). Her prices were very reasonable, her shelves well stocked, and she had all of the items that I needed. I would highly recommend this store to anyone working with beads or beaded jewelry. But the reason I gave two stars is because the ladies working there didn't seem to care about customers, and were even discussing negatively about a previous customer loudly enough so that everyone in the store (only myself and one other) could hear. Something about how dumb her purchase was?! I'm sorry I thought you were a business? Really unprofessional, and so for the price and the atmosphere I spent 5 minutes here and left! I've been here several times and only once was I greeted promptly/warmly and offered help in finding what I'm looking for. There's a large selection of items, but that's all. Prices are on the high side. I was with my teenage daughter (she's got a soft spot for unusual beads), we had just finished a late lunch at nearby Maroo. There was a group of folks at table in the middle of this bead store, talking and creating while I stood there waiting to be acknowledged and shown which part of the shop had what I was looking for. Eventually one of them (the owner I assume) glanced up as if she'd rather not be torn from her company and said an absent hello. I asked if there were garnets, was told no and that was that. There was no offer to show me beads that resemble garnets, or would I like to know what might be on special. Nothing. I'm not expecting a person to hover by the door, and half the time in bead shops you have to wait to ask about something specific because the shops are busy with customers. This place is never busy, and I haven't gotten a decent greeting in the last five visits so I no longer consider this shop an option. read more

I have gone to bead artistry twice. Once To Purchase a gift certificate and the latest time to purchase some elastic To repair a favorite bracelet of mine. This last vist, I walked in and the owner was sitting At the artist table with other artist working on jewelry. I showed her my bracelet and not only did she show me what I needed, but she offered to walk me through the fix herself. I was so grateful that she offered her time to teach me and gave me Two clamps that I needed for the bracelet. It was so easy and fun that I purchased More stones to make another at home! I stop in at Bead Artistry every time I am in Fresno. The group there has ALWAYS been warm and welcoming. Classes there are fun and comfortable. They treat their customers with respect. The ready made jewelry in the shop provides great inspiration - their designs are elegant. I note that little snacks are often available for the customers and they keep the shop well air-conditioned. This was the second time I walked into Bead Artistry while on a visit to my in-laws. I arrived on a Thursday evening around 6pm. I was greeted by the owner sitting on the center project table. Bead Artistry owner creates her own designs and kits you can purchase. The kits supply everything needed for the jewerly piece displayed including the instructions. I found a few nice items to purchase and came a cross a bracelet & earring set that I was trying to study closely to understand how a "12 crystal ball" was made. Apparently I was studying the piece for a long time when the owner asked if I knew how to make it? She then offered ever so graciously to teach me, right then and there! She asked if I had time, to which I wasn't going to turn down any free lesson! She had me take her seat there at the table and gave me step by step instructions. Just like a caring mom she helped me learn a new technique which frankly looked intimidating at first. Wow! talk about customer service. I will definately return when in Fresno again. You guys are great! Prices are high however as I know I've seen the same beads for much less in Santa Cruz. But the service was superior. read more
