Beagle At The Junction is way out in the country. It's where the old Do Drop Inn was located. It has two nice sized barrooms with plenty of tables or booths. I choose to sit at the bar in the room that did not have the open garage doors.
The owners are the same as, The Regal Beagle in Godfrey. With that ownership at the helm, you know your bar grub is going to be good. They have a variety of Daily Specials, or you can order from the regular menu. I visited on a Friday and took advantage of the 8 oz Filet Special. It came with a side salad and 1 side. I choose Blue Cheese Dressing and Crinkle Fries as my side. The filet was super tender and they cooked it to a perfect medium rare. Only negative thing, I thought the dressing was thin and had no flavor for a Bleu Cheese.
Service was just okay, the server/bartender took awhile to get to me and her check ins were sporadic. When I had an interchange with her, she was friendly and good. She just seemed to focus on other guests that she knew, better then myself being a first timer.
Location is out of the way for me, but for those who live out in the boondocks, it is a great pub. Glad I experienced it and I just may be back for a burger or wings. read more
