In addition to the great weather, the Monday special also helped attract the large crowd. The Monday special is, Cheeseburger & Fries for $7. That is a super deal. It comes with onion, lettuce and pickles. The fries were super crispy. I love it when you bite into a fry and hear that crunch. All you gotta do is order a craft beer on draft and you've got a meal. We arrived just after opening and sat 10-15 minutes before anyone came to see if we'd been served yet. That set the time it took to get our drinks, then have our food order taken, then get the food. The others said their burgers were good, but my coconut shrimp was way over cooked. I had noticed a photo posted by another reviewer that showed it looking over cooked, but thought that could be an isolated instance, sadly not. The music was so loud we couldn't hold a conversation without yelling. Being open air seating for the most part, even the "indoor" seating wasn't entirely enclosed, so the flies were bad. The prices weren't terrible, that was the only saving grace. We won't be back. read more

I am a sucker for these little joints, so I'm impartial. But this place was really up my alley. We came to eat after riding the gondola and the atmosphere was jumping. Lots of people inside, including a wedding. It was packed and had live music but that didn't stop the waitresses from being attentive to us. A very good selection of beer and good bar food. We had the loaded fries with pulled pork and garlic parm chicken tenders. Both were great. The wings had just enough sauce but not too much and came out piping hot. The fries had pulled pork with good smoke flavor. Consensus was...great place with great atmosphere and a great food and beer. Went out looking for eagles and ended up in Grafton, was choosing between the Grafton Oyster Bar and Grafton Pub. The oyster bar was closed, so our decision was made for us...and we were not disappointed! Started the meal off with the guacamole bites and chicken wantons -- get them!!! Both were so good. I opted for the basic cheeseburger and my friend did the black and blue burger with bar fries. Everything was good. The service - AMAZING! Our waitress was also the bar tender, but we were never left unattended or needing/wanting anything. She definitely was getting her steps in. We popped in here for drinks and appys. I ordred a White Russian and it was made to perfection! We had pulled pork nachos and buffalo chicken wontons. The nachos were okay but not my fave. I don't love bbq sauce on nachos. The wontons were tasty. Those I were with chose to sit inside and we were in a corner table that I did not enjoy. We couldn't really see each other and every person that walked by would almost brush into us. There is outside seating that I think would be better. read more

was aiming to have a look at the river from both sides until I heard that the Grafton ferry is closed for the season which put a huge damper on things :-( it doesn't help that the ferry wouldn't be running on Tuesday regardless but that's beside the point. still, it's a warmish evening in early October and tacos are two dollars each so may as well have at it... park on the street out front or in the gravel out back as you see fit, wander up under the tin roof and grab some bench while listening to some live entertainments as you sample tuesday's finest. hard shells used to be soft shells and are full up with cheese and meat and the goodness of tacos. the flavors land on the grown up side of the super jack tacos of my youth and make a gawd awful mess when (not IF) they come apart but they are oh so good and crunchy and will pair with most potables... hardly wait for warmer weather to return to these parts :-) read more

One freaking great pub with fantastic food, service and adult beverages. Where do I start... they have 3 floors of outdoor patio seating areas.. the first level has an outdoor shaded area in front of the pub if you want to catch a breeze or people watch, as you walk into the front entrance there is a bar and you greeted warmly by the staff and customers... they were very inviting Then there is a 3rd floor with great views of the river... I chose to hang out on the ground level in the outdoor patio area to listen to the live band play. The views are best on the 2nd and 3rd floor, there is plenty of sitting on all levels of the floor. The catfish fretters were superb. The fries were cooked perfectly along with the catfish, it was just right. The fries and catfish was crispy and hot. I would definitely go here again just for the food. I forgot about the perfect frozen margarita... if you are a light weight like myself, get the smaller margarita .... If you are not driving get the larger one...lol Lastly the waitress and bartender were friendly and very accommodating and provided great customer service.... Cheryl was a fabulous bartender! Personable, welcoming & attentive. She greeted us promptly and got us poured right away with Crown. Handed is menus and made excellent food suggestions. We thoroughly enjoyed the sweet potato fries and Portobello strips. Both seasoned to perfection & piping hot. The space is large! There's a lower level gaming area as well as a patio for dining & live music entertainment during warmer weather mouths. Once again, this place did not disappoint. We live in St.Louis County and we love to drive over to Grafton on the weekends whenever the weather is nice for sitting outside, near water. This place is not right on the water, which is fine by me. I can see the river from here and I get to have yummy food and hear good music and have shade to sit under as well. Safety protocols were mostly observed by the staff, though I do think they should have their hand sanitizer also outdoors since servers and patrons are constantly using the door handle to go in and out of the outdoor seating. Such a cute pub! Ceilings in some areas painted with interesting art. Surprising amount of seating. In addition to the 12-14 top bar there's a side bar with 6-8 seats, several 3 person high tops, a whole section of booth / bench type seating including an 8-10 top, a lower level with fireplace seating and 2 patio areas - one outside overlooking river with lots of seating & one out front overlooking the main road in Grafton. Gaming area / slots as well. Pretty clean inside & out, including bathroom on the patio (which had a PURSE HOOK!). We had the fried pickle chips ($7) & catfish sandwich which was on special for $9 (usually $11). The fried pickle app was delicious & is sooo many pickles, probably 3 times what we would have expected or gotten elsewhere definitely shareable. The fish was great, smaller sized fritters but nice size serving. Served with fresh bread & pretty good fries, as well as cole slaw which was oil based and wasn't great to us. We were here on a Sunday afternoon Labor Day weekend. The place was packed, but we still managed to get a table outside. They had a band playing, the food was excellent and the service was even better! Our waitress was very nice and attentive but not a pain in the butt. Stopped in here on the way home from camping at Pere Marquette to grab lunch. They did have cider on tap, which was pretty nice. The food was good. I got the pulled pork sandwich with a side of coleslaw. Put a little slaw on that sandwich and went to town... Just wish more places would offer a vinegar based slaw, either along with or instead of, creamy slaw! Hubby had a salad with grilled chicken on it which was pretty tasty. First time to visit the Grafton Pub. After reading the reviews decided to get the blue cheese burger and fish fritters. I like blue cheese, but the flavor of the blue cheese burger was too strong and not very good at all. The fish fritters were slightly better, but the fish was a little mushy and was just ok. Love the Pub and the food/drinks. I ordered the chicken bacon ranch sandwich and was really disappointed. The sandwich used to be a chicken breast with bacon strips and served on a toasted hamburger bun. It was served on a hot dog bun, not toasted, chicken was cut up in small chunks and small pieces of bacon, topped with a runny ranch dressing, along with a side of French fries. Just not worth the $11 charged. Hopefully new management will wake up and served better quality food or patrons like myself will move on down the road where selections and quality are better. read more

We stop in the Grafton Pub often, service is good inside or out. Food is a little above average bar food. I had the Gouda bacon burger yesterday and it was good. My husband had the chicken, bacon ranch and was surprised that this was like pulled chicken with bacon crumbles. I had that some time ago and liked it. Fries are bagged.
