I ran into a staff member in the doorway who was really nice. Her name began with a G & was a unique name. She was very nice & helpful when I had some questions for her. I told her why I was there & what I was looking for. She told me they had lots of books & she was right! Out of all their books I only found one by Colleen Hoover & unfortunately it was one that I have already read. I did end up buying more books then I needed that sounded interesting by authors I haven't read before except one book that I have. I didn't really need any more books as I have enough @ home waiting to be read but when they have double 10% discount for First Responders on Wednesday & the tag color of the day it's hard not to buy them especially when their book prices are reasonable. I also found this nice, white cabinet for $12.99 that looks like it belonged to a little girl from the sticker that was on there. I can tell it was probably a lot more money when the owner bought it brand new. It does need some cleaning but nothing a wet cloth & soap/disinfectant spray can't fix. The only issue I had was once I left the store I went to go to their donation drop off to drop off a bag of donations & their drive up was a mess. It had a lot of stuff to each side & as I slowly was pulling in an employee told me to stop with a hand gesture & had an ugly look on his face. Like what a jerk so I backed up & went to a different GW location to drop off my donations. Who ever he was needs to not be so rude.

I even asked him if HE played the piano-- because he could've fooled me-- he was so knowledgeable. He doesn't play a note, but this is a guy who appreciates ALL pianos... not just someone's "new Steinway". Robert who helped Eric on the move was also thoughtful and so respectful of my piano and it's proper delivery and positioning in my house, assuring me that I could take the time I needed to decide on JUST the right angle for them to position it! Spread the Word Nevada provides books for low income communities. Our Scout Pack 931 Organized a…read morevolunteer night and I did not know much about the organization before signing up to volunteer with Scouts. You can register to volunteer on the website. https://spreadthewordnevada.org/volunteer-options/ They have several ways to Volunteer. We did the book preparation volunteering. Volunteer times are usually 2 hours on a Wednesday and Friday evenings from 6PM-8PM. When arriving at Spread the word it is good to know that you enter through a side door in a strip mall off of American Pacific and Gibson. Workers and volunteers then explain the process. Step 1; Grab some books. Step 2; Inspect the books for writing, tears or stickers. If the book is damaged, try to repair it or recycle it. Step 3; Clean it with a wet rag and dry off. Step 4; Categorize the book in 2 different boxes depending on if it has a bar code or not. There are also other bins for Spanish and Library books. Step 5; When you have filled a box someone grabs the box and puts in a bigger bin in the warehouse. Step 6; clean up your workstation! A few tips: You may want to wear vinyl or latex gloves when handling the books. Some had water damage and questionable stains.
