I can't give a higher grade. Professional, courteous, highly educated, responsive, respectful, kind, effective, efficient. I needed someone who had experience working with professionals (lawyers, in particular) to help minimize the impact of a DUI charge, where professional careers and licenses were on the line. A very difficult situation, which Robert handled with grace, poise, confidence, and leadership. He guided us through every step of the process and gave advice I never could have come to on my own (as a practicing lawyer of 35 years myself). Just the best. I interviewed half a dozen other lawyers/firms, and the difference from that process was clear. A DUI-mill or strangely ego-centric experience versus a professional providing excellent legal guidance. Robert's flat fee was a little higher than the other firms, but good God was it worth it. Every penny. I cannot give a higher recommendation if you or a loved one is facing a DUI or other similar charge and you want hand-holding, reassurances, and honest guidance throughout the process without having to beg for updates. I was in a panic, had no idea how to work with the IRS, and certainly had no way to pay the tens of thousands of dollars of past due taxes, interests, and penalties. Mr. Goldstein and his staff immediately put my mind at ease. I began to understand what the various steps would be, what documents I would need to file, and learned that the levies against my bank accounts would be lifted. The letters from the IRS stopped, and my anxiety began to calm down. Over a period of time, his staff collected all of the necessary documentation from the IRS so that we could file the missing returns. Although I had many questions, they were always patient and informative. Finally, they drafted an Offer in Compromise, which the IRS accepted. This saved me a very large amount of money. What I expected was competent legal support, clear direction, and meaningful advocacy. Instead, I experienced poor follow-through, minimal effort, and a lack of attention to detail. From early in the process, there were avoidable mistakes, including an incorrect VIN number in the original communication. In a vehicle-related legal dispute, that is not a small detail. Accuracy matters, and that mistake reflected what became a broader concern: I repeatedly felt like I had to push the matter forward myself. Rather than feeling represented, I felt like I was managing the attorney. Communication and follow-through were not at the level I expected, and the case did not appear to be handled with the urgency or diligence required. When the matter reached the point where litigation needed to be considered, it became clear to me that Justin was not the right attorney to carry the case forward. My concern is not simply that the outcome was unresolved. My concern is the pattern of limited effort, lack of attention to key facts, and failure to provide the level of advocacy I needed. Based on my experience, I would not recommend Justin Hsiang for a matter that requires persistence, litigation readiness, or active case management.

A year ago, my husband and I were dropping our son off to college in California (we are from NY) when apparently we made a right on red, in a place that we should not have. I rented the car and recieved a citation for $480. I wasn't the driver, so I was told that I didn't have to pay the ticket. The citation doesn't give you the ability to state this, so I sent an attachment. I never heard back from the California courts and took it for granted that the situation was resolved. Almost one year later to the date of the ticket, I received notice from California that my ticket was now deliquent and that they could put out a warrant for my arrest. Needless-to-say, i was upset. I went on the internet and blindly started calling attorneys in California. No one would take my case and if they were semi-interested they told me to just send them an email. I couldn't get anyone on the phone to speak to me and quill my fears. I found Jason's advertisement on the website and really liked what I saw. I called him, left a message and to my surprise immediately got a return call. And better yet it was Jason on the phone. OMG!!! The attorney actually cares enough to speak to me directly. He spent close to an hour on the phone with me. He explained the whole system, and carefully detailed what he could do for me. He was extremely clear and concise. Additionally, he explained the billing process and the fact that once I agreed to have him respresent me, I didn't need to do anything else. I immediately signed on for his help. I faxed him my papers the next day and his assistant Christopher called to confirm that they were recieved and that they would start the ball rolling. Honestly, I felt very secure and confident that they were on my side. Over the next few weeks they would email me to let me know the progress. If I had questions I always received a reply. The next thing I know I received a letter in the mail from the California courts stating that my case had been dismissed and they returned my money for the ticket. Since the case went easier and quicker than orginally expected Jason even returned some of my money. Where in the world do you find people like this anymore? He and his team of professionals were second to none!!!!!!! I would recommend him to anyone who needs an attorney. You are in good hands with Jason Beahm!!!!!! He is worth every penny. Beahm Law has the best DUI attorneys in California hands down. Jason and his team were fantastic to work with. My case received personal attention and my drunk driving lawyer quickly responded to my questions and concerns. I chose Beahm Law because my colleague told me that they have the best DUI defense lawyers and traffic attorneys in the Bay Area. When I called their office, my call was immediately answered by a real live person. Their receptionists are extremely friendly and attentive. They walked me through the process, explained the costs, outlined the possible strategy and discussed possible outcomes. Jason then called me back about thirty minutes later, and I really connected with him and felt an immediate sense of trust. After talking to two other criminal defense firms that just wanted my money but didn't want to listen, I chose Beahm Law. Even though getting arrested for driving while intoxicated is a terrible event, Jason made the situation far more bearable. I was able to sleep at night and focus on my work because I trusted that he was experienced and motivated. In the end, he did a fantastic job. My case was dropped because Beahm Law determined that the evidence was weak and conducted a detailed investigation. Jason presented the evidence to the district attorney and eventually came away with an amazing result. I got a sign violation ticket recently near a temporary construction zone. There were no proper indications on where to detour and me along with with three other cars took the right turn when conditions were safe from the next lane. To my dismay there was a cop standing right after the right turn and waiting for us to make the mistake and issued tickets to drivers of all four vehicles. I could not believe it; and was taken aback at the officer's intent to issue tickets rather than ensure safety. Confused - I did a TBD for this case thru a third party firm - but after two weeks I just got a guilty verdict (personally I don't even think they read these things). I felt that this was unfair and wanted justice for my case. I did a trial de nuvo for this and hired Jason, Chris and Jeff (Beahm Law) to take up my case as I was tired fighting for justice and I know I could not win this battle on my own. Beahm law took up my case a week before the trial date and converted it to a no point offense. I was relieved that I got away with no point and felt better as I do not think I committed any mistake here. I must say Beahm law is a highly professional law firm who can take care of any tricky situations and get you the best outcome possible. In my case the officer was present and I did a TBD and I still got a favorable outcome. I would highly recommend them for any of your traffic violation cases. read more

This place is a complete joke. I got a bullshit camera ticket in San Francisco, and I figured I'd need help to win this one. I turned to yelp to point me in the right direction, and saw all of Beahm's reviews. It is now out of outrage that I write my first yelp review. I called Beahm law and a receptionist answered, then Christopher called me soon after. He was polite and answered all of my questions, but looking back I think he would of said anything to get my money. So I hired them. Then, the communication stopped. I attempted to contact them numerous times, and the receptionist always said he was out of the office. The next communication I got from them told me I had to go to traffic school and pay over $500. Ok, I could of done that myself. This whole stupid ticket ended up costing me over $1000. Now, Im pretty sure that most of these guys reviews are fakes. Almost all of them have useful and funny votes when they are not fucking funny, or useful. This place is a total racket. If you get a ticket, just fight it yourself. I was very pleased with the results of Jason Beahm and his law firm, who were extremely professional, positive and responsive to my needs after receiving a ticket for going through a red light and having it be caught on a camera on Bryant Street. I researched several law firms on Yelp and Google, but when I spoke to Eva, Bob and Jason, I was convinced that this firm was by far, the best and most helpful in explaining the process and what was going to happen to me. My case was a bit more complicated because I was ineligible for traffic school, so I had to get the point off my record. The best part was not having to go to Court and feeling that I was in excellent hands, knowing that I was being taken care of. As a follow-through person, I was so happy with each step - from the intial discussion to the actual Court day and even though the fine was steep, the fact that they were able to get the point off my record, was a great relief. the beahm law guys rock!!! i had received a traffic citation a few weeks ago (a ticket for a stop-sign violation for allegedly rolling through an empty 4-way stop intersection in the City one night), and had i received the customary extra point penalty as a consequence [which would most likely have been the result if i had gone to court by myself!], i would have lost my job! no kidding! [my job involves a lot of driving and requires a very clean driving record...] yikes!!! i had made matters worse for myself by saying when i was stopped that i was running late to pick up my daughter which quote of mine had ended up on my ticket in quotes to my consternation! i called beahm law based on yelp reviews. christopher was very supportive and gave me the straight dope throughout!!! a few weeks later, beahm law sent me an email... case resolved, it said... pay a $300-ish fine... no points... no adverse impact on my insurance coverage, it added. my job saved!!! what a huge sigh of relief!!! beahm law was well worth it for me!!! read more

I commute 6 days a week for work - I am not a speeder or carless and for over 30 Years never got a ticket - the one day it happened. I see the red Lights and Now I am cited for speeding. I have a 1988 truck with over 300,000 miles it's a 4 cylinder - It can't go fast - It takes miles of open road to work up to 70. So How could I be speeding - I am careful. When I checked my speedometer it said I was doing 45mph. Was my Speedometer wrong - or did the Officer make a mistake? I had my vehicle checked the Speedometer was fine - I did not know what to do. I never expected to have the need to call a criminal defense attorney. But then life is full of surprises isn't it? So here I find myself in need of a lawyer and I get on the Internet and start looking for people ... how do I decide who to pick? Was they say one thing led to another and I found myself looking at the yelp page of being law, hey these guys look like they know what they're doing. And they're DUI lawyers too? My direct contact I had with Beahm law was a very friendly, engaging, professional, smart woman. I had one phone conversation and about a half dozen emails regarding my ticket which was for a supposed illegal turn on a red light. They showed up at court for me while I was on vacation and I got an email saying my case was dismissed! I personally called the office and thanked Jason Beahm himself for saving me time, stress, sleep (a vacation) and thousands of dollars of increased insurance costs over a three year period as well as the fine. I am not sure how Jason Beahm is receiving 4.9 stars. My experience with Jason Beahm was unfortunate at best. Communication by Jason was extremely poor leaving gaps and questions - and he charges too much for outcomes he promises but is far from being able to deliver. Jason seems inexperienced, and driven by money. Jason is bothered by questions and it is difficult for him to communicate options. Hiring Jason left me in a worse position. I found other attorneys that were refreshingly more knowledgeable, helpful, and easy to contact, but that doesn't help the financial loss of hiring Jason Beahm. I hope the mess he made can be cleaned up. I am shocked by the 4/5 star reviews I did not experience anything close.. read more

I've consulted with Jason on many occasions regarding traffic violations and, admittedly, issues relating to DUIs. He's extremely knowledgeable and friendly and has always helped me out. The best thing about his services is that he cuts right to the chase -- if you want points taken off or a reduced penalty, and you want it done without costing you an arm and a leg, this is your guy. But if you want someone who will take your case all the way up the supreme court arguing about some minor technicality in the law -- and running up huge legal bills in the process (and losing in the end...) -- you should probably look elsewhere. Jason's way too practical for that. read more

So I was visiting San Francisco and lets just say, I got into some trouble in the bathroom at a club and got arrested. My local friend recommended Beahm Law. Not only did he get my out of jail asap, got me off with no prison time, my fine down to a very reasonable number AND the incident expunged from my record. If the results weren't enough to make me recommend him, his calm caring, yet serious demeanor puts him over the top. This attorney is a poor communicator. He has a dopey assistant named Aroura that will mislead you til the cows come home, he personally will not call the client back nor will he text useful information, he will let you fail after promising you "I got your back" many times... Attorney Beahm was paid promptly with the funds as he grabbed $2500 or more from me... and guess what, I lost my license and I can't drive due to a $3,500 a month insurance bill. I really liked working with Jason. Got a stupid ticket on a "no u-turn" sign which was essentially almost invisible on a dark evening in San Francisco. Jason managed to get this taken off as a driving violation to a more benign/no points standing violation. The process was painless, and Jason took care of all the riff-raff, paper work et. al. Then a month in the other partner got on the phone to assure me they had my back & were going through with my suit, wasting another month. Meanwhile no one found my $900 scooter so when I finally tracked it down it had been thrown away. They did nothing to find my witnesses. Frankly, the way they left me underserved was as traumatizing as getting hit by the bus. I think I've found the better replacement, but if not, I'll keep looking. This position they left me in is totally unacceptable!

Why ? Like sales people are rewarded for making sales , law enforcement is rewarded for making stops and arrests . I haven't even smoked marijuana not used any illegal substances in my life and I don't drink. Doesn't matter if the science breathalyzer screamed all clear innocent, doesn't matter that blood test later confirmed. Joel refused to take any retainer money because he spent one hour of his time on the phone helping me. Being in a state of panic since I've never been arrested ever , have a teachers certification, class B bus license and am SPAB certified by Highway Patrol to drive up to 78 people in a 45 foot bus since I'm 100% clean , I called Joel for a what the fuck do I do consultation. He could have demanded money first. Instead , he exercised compassion, integrity and respect and told me I didn't need a lawyer , to go see the public defender and ask how long the arrest would be reversed.
