Parking is never really that bad although being in a very busy plaza with a Ulta, old Navy, Ross and other stores in the area. Service is fast and I'm glad they have a self checkout for faster service. They have a large selection of beauty and hair items. I also love that there is a CVS pharmacy inside. I got a medication from there and it was ready within the hour. Very happy with that service !

The staff is very helpful and friendly, and informed about their products. They carry a little bit of everything, from home goods, to clothes, to automotive, sundries, hardware, food, toys, etc., like the 5-and-10 store of yore. Another store recommended Roses when I was looking for souvenir tee shirts for the Golden Isles. Yes, Roses had them, and a super bargain at $5 each! I bought a few $5 Jekyll tees, some bargains on Matchbox and Jurassic World toys, and some $1.50 striped beach towels I'm going to make into beachy throw pillowcases. I even found a $1 sewing repair kit I needed, and it was a huge bargain compared to the price at JoAnn's (Dollar Tree doesn't even carry these anymore). In addition to Suave and Softsoap products cheaper than Walmart, and isopropyl alcohol cheaper than Walmart or Dollar Tree, they also had 20qt stainless steel stockpots for only $16, an awesome deal! And decent quality flip flops for $4. They are definitely tailored for beach vacation rental house needs, and souvenirs, as well as local living too. As I said, a little bit of everything. Bought a bunch of stuff I didn't know I needed, and stuff I really needed at excellent prices! Went back two more times, new stuff each time. Love Roses!

Since the previous owners to the new ones after Big Lots closed down and reopened with new owners…read morethey have YET to fix their AIR CONDITIONER. I have always loved Big Lots but due to the conditions inside the store it makes it extremely difficult to stay longer than a few minutes. My family and I went in yesterday at this location in Brunswick Georgia and had to leave before completing our shopping list. I felt So terribly bad for their employees in particular the one lady ringing us up. While we were trying to shop we began to sweat profusely and when we decided to leave prematurely and approached our unfortunate cashier...we noticed beads of sweat dripping down her eyes behind her glasses. It's bad enough that the customers have to endure that kind of heat (yesterday's temperatures was 104° with a heat index of 113°-outside), but just IMAGINE being an employee there having to work a full shift in those conditions and it's not even August yet. I'm sure that it's affe ting their business. In fact when we were in our car making calls to try and get them help with AC repair, 4 grown men entered the store and in less than a minute walked right back out again empty handed. I doubt I'll go there again this summer if ever.

They always employee the nicest of their employees back there besides the older tall black gentalmen with glasses that use to walk the store and knew everything. Haven't seen him in years but I digress. She was very knowledgeable about the services back there and the products and prices. Most of all I commend AJ for her patience. Over the phone she provided kind curtious care as if I were in person and for that she needs applauding. How easy would it have been for her to be dismissive and or rude but I got the exact opposite. Attempted to return few items purchased from previous day. Put credit card in credit card machine,…read moreseveral times she told me it's not the card I used. I expressed to it's the only card I have and use. I'm showing you a digital receipt. Anniha kept telling me I didn't use that card or purchase from that store. I expressed that the gentleman behind the counter is the person that helped me to get someone to get someone to dressing room to unlock. She flat out said " I don't care who you say helped you", and we're moving on from the card and receipt I will give you credit on a store card. I finally found paper receipt in my purse and told her I have my receipt as she's handling me the store card with credit. I explained I want it put on my credit card I put with as shown on my paper and digital receipt. With an attitude as nasty as can be she said "I said we've moved on from that. I said no I gave a paper and digital receipt with the tags for these items and the credit all go back on my card. She didn't like it and eventually did put on my card with a great deal of attitude. This store is not worth going to, id rather spend a little more at Target!!

This shopping plaza is what feels like a never ending bevy of shops and restaurants. You'll be…read morepleasantly surprised how big this village of shops is. There are tons of food and beverage places as well as shops like a florist, olive oil place and clothing. My favorite amongst all of them is the indie bookstore. It's a very busy and while there is a lot of parking, it can get full on holidays and during the summer. You may wish to plan your trip accordingly. There is a website but it's minimal and has not been updated recently. Do plan to visit Red Fern on your next visit to SSI. You'll be glad you did whether it's for a stroll, shopping and/or dining.
