Lazy men back in car department had NO interest in helping me find a light bulbs for my car. Go elsewhere and save the headache

In a bit of a crunch this morning needing two tires and AJ came thru for me in the automotive center! I must say overall each and everytime I to get an oil change or tires I am never dissatisfied with the customer service in that department. They always employee the nicest of their employees back there besides the older tall black gentalmen with glasses that use to walk the store and knew everything. Haven't seen him in years but I digress. She was very knowledgeable about the services back there and the products and prices. Most of all I commend AJ for her patience. Over the phone she provided kind curtious care as if I were in person and for that she needs applauding. How easy would it have been for her to be dismissive and or rude but I got the exact opposite. Thanks Walmart you did great! Now the confusion your app provides for instock items/delivery-pickup and appointments, lets just table that conversation for now. read more

Overnight in this Walmart parking lot in my Sprinter van and I definitely appreciate that Walmart allows this. Thank you! That said, the store experience was not great. A few bits from the deli area and a fresh loaf of high-fiber bread (hooray, breakfast and lunch!) which were decently stocked. However, my complaint is the restroom. It was needing serious attention with paper on the floor and water on the countertop. The trash was also nearly full. This is something that needs help! As for the parking, there was mention in rvparky about a homeless camp making a lot of noise. I didn't experience that at all though there were a few gearheads and loud motorcycles making noise until 10pm. After that? Nothing and a quiet night. I had parked against the trees on the side by the garden center and was not disturbed. I would have no problem staying here again as I'm passing south on I-95 but I'd avoid the shopping. Terrible experience with pickup order. Employee literally threw our groceries in the trunk. Only spoke one word to us which was our last name. Didn't ask about substitutions like other stores do. Slammed trunk and walked away. Also waited over 30 minutes once order was ready. read more

Everything about this Walmart could improve. The employees simply don't care. Poor employees, gets you nothing but poor customer service. I had and item I was wanting to purchase and asked someone where I could find it, as it was not giving me a location by the app to find it. The employee said if we have it they will be on a end cap and he walked and looked with me and nothing. He looked on his phone and said says they have it in stock. But he said nobody will go get it. I'm sorry isn't that your job. He said order it for pick up and someone will then be directed to get it. So I did. Ordered got the message it was ready for pick up, went to pick up and told them where I was parked. Sat there for over 30 minutes and then I get the response from Walmart saying my ordered was cancelled. They either was lazy or their system is messed up a den when it says they have something in stock, they don't. Go anywhere but to Walmart. The company is failing and not getting better. This store is disgusting constantly! The parking lot is strewn with trash all the time. There are panhandlers in the parking lot or at the entrances and they sleep in the corners on the sidewalks. I don't allow my wife and teenager daughters shop here alone. Especially since there are police there always making arrests. It's dirty all the time, the bathrooms are horrible and you can't concentrate with the blaring overhead music. The produce is never fresh and always picked over, the meat counters always smell like rotting, spoiled meat. It is always very understocked. It's very evident that the store manager doesn't care about this store. read more

So if you look at the crime specs for Brunswick, GA, they're pretty bad. I believe it's a 1 in 16 chance of being a crime victim. So I understand the presence of the Lot Cop in the Walmart parking lot, but it still scared me that this was necessary because I never saw anything like it before this one! All in all this store served me well for a month on Jekyll. Brunswick's box stores are go-tos for Jekyll Island, and Saint Simons Island residents and visitors. So this store is always well stocked and has a huge selection of everything. In many trips to this store, my only complaints were a really creepy customer, and a really creepy greeter at the door. All in all, this store was decent, but that greeter behaved inappropriately. If you're a woman, watch out for the old white guy with a cane when you enter or leave!!! read more

I'm generally just don't shop at Walmart, but while visiting Jekyll Island I needed to get a new microSD card. I came here before 8am on a Saturday morning and everyone I interacted with were super friendly. I was warmly greeted at the door and by employees working throughout. I needed a microSD card in electronics. It was locked in a case but an employee was quick to get it for me. read more

They deserve negative stars honestly. Last night I put in a pick up order for 8pm-9pm today. At 8 I got the text that said they were delayed (as usual). I tried calling the help numbers around 8:30 just for them to ring and ring with no answer. My husband went to the store and asked what was going on. They apparently lost our order and told us to call the help number that I had already tried to call. He left with no groceries and they said the best they can do is for us to cancel the order, put it all in again, and show up at 5am in the morning. read more

Provided a form of government I.D. to buy alcohol, cashier said it was suspicious and questioned why I had 2 forms of I.D. So I handed her the second I.D. a government issued I.D. For uniformed services. Once again the cashier denies the validity of now two forms of government ID and says she cannot confirm my age because her daughters birthday was close to mine . I had my optometrist fax my prescription to the local WalMart. The optician was extremely pleasant and very helpful. Unfortunately they did not carry my prescription. I went there tonight and spent so much time shopping and didn't buy a lot of stuff but needed special things in particular, so it took a long time for me to get what I wanted. (And a lot of walking....) Seven o'clock at night and there were THREE cashiers open. Lines, of course, at each. My ice cream was melting. I started having a diabetic reaction finally. First time ever, I did this: I put the ice cream back and left my cart in the aisle, full of stuff. Stuff I needed. But I didn't want to die waiting on line at WalMart and have the last hour of my life be spent buying a can of sauerkraut. I might have died for the ice cream, maybe, but it melted. I use to shop there. It takes sometimes 15 to 20 minutes to check out of the lines. And not because they are super busy but because it's all self check out....several of the check out lines are closed and there is very few people there to help those who are struggling at the check out. It's Walmart. What more do you really need to know? This location is open 24/7, and some of its services inside are not. The auto center stays generally busy. The lines for the money center can be insane, and often is very understaffed. Customer service lines can also stretch way longer than they should. The store is somewhat clean, though not as clean as it should be. For example, as a baseball card collector (don't judge), I frequented the area of the store with these four times last week. It had not been cleaned up or even straightened a bit during the entire week, looking worse and worse every time. This sent me to Target's neat and orderly section. Staff is generally not interested in being there and does very little greeting. Waits vary in line from "eh" to "insane." Several self-checkout lines are available, though you are often hampered by customers who don't actually know how to uses these lines. read more

After visiting the Neighborhood store, I came to the SuperCenter. Somewhat better. Short wait, 20 minutes, for an electric cart and I had to go get it in the parking lot. Store is cleaner. I LOVE WALMART BRUNSWICK! There's something so great about going to Walmart late at night, but this particular location was perfect. I think it was "perfect" because at this Walmart I was able to find items that I typically wouldn't find in the north. How about that Frankenberry cereal?! Its funny because when I went to this Walmart it was 3 years ago and now many Targets here in New York carry the monster cereals. Here they carried nice affordable german chocolake cakes and red velvet cakes which I LOVE. I guess in the south food is a must, huh? I'm not hating, I love food just as much. Where the weight goes well I have no idea. Haha. The environment was very peaceful and subtle so that really made me enjoy this Walmart experience like no other! Yes, I'm a fan! We came here to get tires on a car. "6 cars were in front of us to get tires or oil changes done." 6 hours later we are still waiting and the car is still parked in the same spot. The excuse is that they only had 4 people working in the pit. From my own experience that means 4 cars should have been getting worked on at a time.... here that's apparently not the case. Great place to stop anytime your traveling and need supplies. If you're an RV'er they let you stay in their parking lot free. There must have been 20 on the day we visited. Very good for business and a nice savings for the people who decide to stay there. read more

The good, the bad, and the ugly: The good: Walmart has some good deals on sale sometimes and I see they are hiring people with disabilities. The bad: Women should stop shopping there for 1 month or so to send a clear message we do not stand for discrimination. Women can make good managers too. The ugly: The gas pump! Tried to search my shopping cart on the way out. Went through manned cash register, paid in cash and as I tried to leave a Walmart employee told me I couldn't leave until he checked my cart and receipt. He was busy searching a lady's full cart and evidently expected me to wait. I asked "you mean I can leave until you've checked my cart?" He said "yes" , then said "no, I want my money back, his reply "do what you must". I returned with the cart to customer service and asked them " since when do you have to have your cart searched to leave the store". The two ladies at customer service seemed surprised and said "you don't". (Both Ladies in customer service were very professional and friendly). One lady tried to smooth my anger with some justification, and offered to return my money. I told her I would try the other door and if they tried to search my cart I would return for a full refund. As I went through the grocery side door that Walmart employee started to reach for MY receipt and I said "no thank you" and kept walking. Thankfully he did not try to physically stop me. Maybe Walmart should checkout the Georgia shopkeepers privilege laws as well as the definition of "unlawful detainment". Second time here, I always try to give a place 2 strikes before writing a nasty review. First time the oil change took 3 hours and none of the staff could answer any basic oil questions I had regarding the type I should use in the used car I just bought. Today I came back and asked for the posted "$44.98 synthetic oil service" the one they have sighs all over for in the car care area. After not having the recommend oil the total was gonna be $65. How the $&@$ do you go from $44 to $65? Do not come here they are a huge ripoff and a waste of time. read more
