I have always been a fan of this chain. The savings are great. Today I came with a shopping list of 5 items and left with over 15 items. They had a good variety on chips but as in cassava, plantains and other roots that I liked and normally don't see them. I did good. I found everything I was looking for plus more lol. My only issue was trying to find some items. One item was fig spread or jelly another was oil. The aisle are long with so many items in them. A small sign is on top, but it has a few things listed, not all. staff is not trained well to where things are. Twice I was given the wrong aisle number. What can I say. I got my steps today. This place is absolutely huge. From the parking lot to the check out lanes, everything was good at this visit. I was shopping for a variety of items and found them all to be reasonably priced. I use this Walmarts delivery service and it is so quick and convenient. I can get my groceries, cleaning products, pet supplies, and basically anything else I need delivered right to my door. You can do free 3 hour delivery or for a fee get it in as little as less then an hour it's really helped me out in a pinch. read more

I was looking for those "cutters" that disassemble a K cup for my mother in law. Walmart had them. I checked their price against other retailers including Amazon and they had a good price... The entire K cup is not recyclable, but if you do not mind the time it takes to disassemble used k-cups (removing the foil, emptying the coffee grounds, pulling out the filter), part of it....is. The plastic cup itself is not recyclable. But you can certainly take the foil lid off and then save the coffee grinds for your compost. The Recycle A Cup Tool is the only alternative to manually separating K-Cups allowing each component to be properly recycled In less than 10 Seconds, this tool allows you to separate K-Cup plastic pods from the filters and grounds. So...once you have used the K-Cup for the first time, you take off the foil lid, remove the used coffee and rinse the filter. Good buy of something that will help the environment, at a great price. Worst customer service I've ever received. The supervisor Ed was very dismissive claims that walmart.com has nothing to do with the Walmart in Pompano. I received a message that my appointment has been canceled for 3 PM. I showed up at 1 PM after I received the message and they said there's nothing they can do about it even though my tires were there and ready to be put on my car. Went to the store manager and she said she doesn't know anything about the tire department. I will never buy tires from Walmart again! Don't waste your time. Every time I need to call THIS STORE, (Pompano Beach store on Atlantic and Powerline), either the phone rings without an answer, or the call gets answered and they hung up. This is the worst store with customer service, and many other stores are not far behind. Walmart focuses on changing the store's look and layout, or changing how one checks out (now disastrous and inconvenient), but they excell in fully disregarding BASIC CUST SRVC. A new employee was being trained, and a bag was not given to me as it was left on the carousel. All the other bags were handed to me, except the one I am missing. After attempting to call with over 45 minutes and approximate 11 different phone calls using 2 cell phones, I decided to write this review. This location is usually busy and for the last 2 weeks they have been doing some construction in the parking lot. We've shopped here for many years BC. The store is huge and can get a bit crazy busy at times. The lines can be long at the cashiers. But they're in the neighborhood and convenient. And prices are competitive. We don't do much grocery shopping here as a rule, as we prefer the Walmart grocery store over on federal highway as it's easier and faster to navigate (or we go to publix for their produce and meat). However, we thought we'd try their order and pickup to save going into a grocery store during the current situation. Ordering online with our Walmart app was very easy. We did find that they were out of stock on a few items, however. The payment was done directly with our Walmart charge card. All time slots had been already taken for the day so we arranged to do pick up on the next day. We were sent an email when the order was ready for pickup. We drove to the east side of the store where there are the designated numbered parking spots. We called and let them know we were there and what spot we were in. A masked and gloved employee came out to put the bagged groceries in our car. He was thrilled when we tipped him. Although we weren't able to get all the items we wanted, we were very pleased with this service. It's such a timesaver, that for certain items, I'll probably use this service again in the future AC (after corona). read more

This Walmart has been here for as long as I can remember, and although it's surroundings have changer quite a lot over the years, this store has not. It is still the same. This isn't necessarily a bad thing. It's just that if you have been to one Walmart, you have been to them all. I haven't had any issues as far as customer service goes, but then again, I don't usually require help at Walmart. This store is located in the corner of Powerline rd and Atlantic blvd. There are several fast food restaurants right on the outer perimeter of the shopping plaza. Plenty of parking and very close to I-95 which puts this store a little above the rest. read more

Saying I am pissed off is an understatement. So my husband and I were down in Florida for 7 days staying at a luxury resort which we own. After getting up at 2:15 to catch a 5:39 flight we were exhausted. So we knew once we got to our room we're were going to be too exhausted to grocery shop. So we ordered our groceries online. Delivery came on time but so many items were out of stock it was disgusting. Once I got the notification that the items were out of stock I was perplexed as to why they didn't give me the substitution items. So me being the super woman that I am I immediately called the store but to no avail. (Seriously??????) the phone rang, rang and f****** rang. Can you believe I called them 5 times and no one answered and on top of that my eggs were missing. So now it's 9:30 am and I want to cook breakfast for myself and hubby we don't have eggs oh I didn't mention the bacon and milk were out of stock.. at this point I am livid you hear me LIVID. Okay let me take a breathe. So now I'm looking online at shipt.com so I order a few items from Publix which included Milk, bacon, eggs, coffee creamer and a few more items. Thank god my hubby was sleeping bless his heart he didn't know the drama I was experiencing and I decided to let him sleep and just deal with this nonsense myself. After an hour or so I received my Publix order and everything was delivered. THANK GOD but why did I have to order from a different store because stupid Walmart didn't have the most important items that I requested???? Ok okay Ridiculous so anywho I will no longer shop or order anything from Walmart because this is not the first time they screwed up my order, furthermore I want a refund for my missing eggs and two other items. A Walmart is a Walmart is a Walmart. It can be tricky to review a chain, especially a chain that in know for low end pricing(this low end expectations). This location is not amazing, but certainly tries to do well. Especially as it's not exactly positioned in the classy part of town. I have popped in a few times as it's near my office. It had yet to let me down in having that last minute thing that I need or the office needs. Wether it be chips, a chair, or a chance at surprising a co-worker with a cake. I have gotten a plant here and I have just wandered the isles. I have had to ask for help a couple times and have had very helpful people that are guided me to almost he opposite end of the store from where we started. It is a Walmart, no doubt about that. But they do good work here and you won't regret popping in for a last minute item or two. read more

This is one of the not so good Walmarts I have been too. I will not give a 1 star only because, they sell stuff that we buy at a decent price. I mean, it's consumable stuff. It's gonna be cheap and expected. The negative "experience" is based on the fact that Customer Service, Electronics, Jewelry...have hours of operation not shared with the store. How is that a thing? The other day I was at their tire center so I had some time to kill. I figured I'd do some shopping, why not right? Most of the shelves were empty. Like zombie apocalypse empty. I'm not sure why? The second thing that annoyed me was they have tons of signs for price checkers all throughout the store. This Walmart must hire the most incompetent drivers on the planet. With just about every order I have made the past couple years, there is always an item in the group that is 'undeliverable' and they cancel the order. I don't know why it is undeliverable when all they have to do is throw it in front of the same door the other items have been delivered to from the same order. Maybe some drivers don't use GPS? My home is three years old and is NOT a mobile home. Has been in the same spot all the time. Maybe they are using Google (which hasn't updated in years). A disappointing experience for a Wal-Mart. I managed to find the spray paint and painter's tape I needed but I also stopped into the sporting goods department for a box of .38 ammunition. Not only was the .38 out of stock, but they also had no 7.62 or 9 mm and several others. Seriously, Wal-Mart. If you don't have it in stock, people can't buy it! In the personal care aisle, the electric beard trimmers are in a locked case. Good luck finding someone to open that up for you. So this is the worst Wal-Mart ever and I go 6 miles away to Coral Springs Target even though this Wal-Mart is around the corner to shop. The only time I go here is at 6am so I can get in/get out. Even at 6am there will be a baby diaper in the parking lot and trash everywhere. Tonight I had a worker in my yard and my outdoor light bulb burned out and since time was of the essence I went to this store. Of course they didn't have the right lumens bulb so I picked another item up and headed to the register. Firstly, the line is ridiculously long, secondly why should I have to FLAG down your lazy employee when I buy beer (she is currently talking to another employee who is also not working). The register glass scanner is dirty and difficult to scan for this reason. OH, here's a thought, why not have the lazy employees actually clean the glass periodically? Why that's just brilliant! I checked groceries for 4 years , 2 in high school, 2 in college and I was constantly cleaning the belt and scanner glass. read more

To find anything specific, you're pretty much on your own, and searching things out can be an all-day event, but you'll have to remember to save enough of your time to endure the long checkout lines. On the good side are the prices, on the bad side it can be a confusing jumble of missing price tags along with various mislabeled items. As far as Walmart stores go, this one pretty much epitomizes every facet of the Walmart shopping experience. Cashier seemed in a hurry and was not interested in any questions or concerns you may have. Items were on sale but ran up different, so the cashier just confiscated them instead of inquiring. Best to use self checkout. After Christmas, all the sales items were placed in an aisle, which is fine. However, several of the items were not discounted at checkout, AND we were told they weren't Christmas items (even though the packaging was red and green). read more

We shop Walmart for our weekly grocery and other needs. Why? Price, convenience and in limited cases quality. Businesses that are owned by individuals read these reviews, respond to them and hopefully improve from them. That is not true of companies like Walmart. Management does not care; the upper level go from company to company and take their salary and bonuses. The carts are very very poorly maintained. Go to Publix and compare the carts. You want to shop there rather than finish the ordeal and get out of Walmart. As far as produce it is poorly maintained. Watermelon that was mealy and mislabeled other produce. Some are moldy and not removed from shelves or shelves are stocked very slowly . Poor Poor Management. For the most part their lower level employees are polite and do the best they can without proper management. The meat is what I consider their best product. McClaren Farms supplies them and gives a very good product. At self check they have employees to approve age on liquor who do not wear masks and the bags are hard to separate. Hence, the have a wet rag for customers to rub to help get the bags open. Great for passing Covid-19. We also shop Publix, Costco, Wild Fork and privately owned grocery and meat markets. So we see the good and the bad. For some reason Yelp believes I am from San Francisco. The last time I was there was when I was in the Air Force. I am from Chicago and even with its faults this store is much better than there where I only went once to buy a battery for my car. read more

Made a quick stop in here today to pick up some groceries. I came around noon and I liked that they had a TON of checkout lines open. So the waiting was quite minimal, I've been in other local Walmart stores at this time mid-week and the checkouts can be HORRIBLE. There are other businesses conveniently located here (in store) such as a hair, nail and brow salon. The shelves were kind of empty in various sections of the store. I was looking to pick up some pre-packaged salads and there were only a few left. Other items like boxes of Ritz were also missing from where they should be. This morning at 10:15 AM we arrived at the Walmart at 2300 W Atlantic Blvd. in Pompano Beach. Looking for fabric for Halloween costume. We had to go looking for someone to help us. Fine, we found a woman stocking the shelves in the Toy Isle and asked for help. She looked at us as if we had "THE NERVE" to bother her. After a couple of minutes, I asked her if she was going to help us or not. She put down what she was doing and followed us to the department. It was very near where she was. WE asked if she could please cut for us 4 yards of the fabric. After taking her sweet time to cut it, she labeled it and as we walked away, but my husband noticed she had priced it over $31.00. So we asked her how come it was so much? It was $4.47 a yard. It should have only been $17.88. She argued with us that it was over $7.00 per yard. I don't remember the exact price she stated. We showed her that the 2 bolts having the same fabric came from the shelf to the right, next to the register. With an attitude, she said it was in the wrong place and it belonged around the corner. I pointed out to her that what was around the corner was YARN! He attitude continued. I explained to her that, it was "False Advertisement" to miss label anything, and pointed out to her that perhaps, a mistake could have been made for one bolt. But we found 2 bolts very near to each other on the same shelf. She refused to be of any help, so we asked her to call a Supervisor, or a Manager. She said "They is a meeting." I asked her to please, call them. Surely there had to be someone in the store din charge that wasn't in a meeting. She refused. This associates name is "MARIE". I stated to her that fine, "I" would go home and call the Manager, and that I would remember her name, Marie. As we walked away, she began yelling that she "would call a manager!" This persons face would surely have cracked if she tried to smile. Such a terrible attitude I have never encountered in any store in my life, and I have had a very long life. People like this shouldn't be in a store that offers any kind of public service. If you ask me, she should be replaced immediately. I am a Walmart Stock Holder.
