I stopped in several stores looking for stockings and ended up finding a pair of heels that I was really happy with. The customer service representatives I encountered were all incredibly nice. A few of them spent quite a bit of time trying to upsell me, but I never felt like it was aggressive or uncomfortable. I was still able to shop in relative peace, and a couple of the employees were especially helpful when I needed assistance finding some of the more obscure items. Overall, I really enjoyed my visit. It was an easy and relaxing stop on the way home, and I'm glad we decided to swing by.

The lady behind the counter was not accommodating at all. she would not call the owner nor did she say sorry. As a business owner myself I can't believe she treated us that way. In 2015 H.A.L.O. opened H.A.L.O.'s Rescued Treasures with all proceeds going to help the animals. This thrift store has several rooms of gently used home goods, toys, clothing, accessories, holiday decorations, linens, pet supplies, and more. Everything I saw was well priced and additional sales during my visit offered an extra 20 percent off handbags and wallets and 20 percent of pants, shorts, and skirts. A sign requesting people to remain dressed in the clothing room cracked me up. Know you are on camera so keep those clothes on. It is not a dressing room. They had some really cute New York Yankees items. I see that they also carry Longchamp style bags, which is nylon style tote. Some of the items here looked kind of dated, the multi-colored items were very circa 2002. I spotted one table with clearance of up to 70% off as well.

In the same plaza as Threads is the Antique Workshop and Estate Sales of Vero Beach. There is some parking in front of the building but also in a gravel lot on the side. This cute boutique is actually quite large and has two rooms selling gently used, name brand clothes and accessories from Tory Burch, Louis Vuitton, Johnny Was, and Lilly Pulitzer to name a few. I especially loved the colorful Lily Pulitzer dresses. They have a sale system where one star is 25 percent off and 2 star is 50 percent off. Since this is consignment expect higher prices than say a thrift store but still discounted off of retail price. Note that all sales are final, no exceptions. Unfortunately I came in 15 minutes before closing and they sure let me know it. Perhaps if I find myself in the area again I'll come back (earlier).

Found an adorable belt that I wanted to purchase with an alligator on it, but didn't have a price tag. When we asked the woman for the price, she told us she didn't know. I asked if she could find out or call someone and she said no she wouldn't and that it was the owner's day off and that no one would be available to help. I was astounded; why would it be on the sales floor if it wasn't for sale and why on earth with this woman not make an attempt to price it and sell it to me? She was also very rude when speaking to me. Would not recommend this store. There are many others with much friendlier environments.

Proceeds from this thrift store go to supporting programs at the Women's Refuge which includes a Christian residential program for women, support groups, and a biblical counseling center for men, women, and families. The Women's Refuge Resale Shop sells a wide range of clothing, accessories, household items, furniture, art, home decor, and more. Everything was neatly organized and clearly marked with a price. Interestingly the prices were compared with what similar items are selling for Poshmark and Chairish. First time I have seen that. On the day I visited they were having a lot of additional sales including 60 percent off dresses and pants. For even more thrifting fun, the Tambourine Resale Store is next door and there is another Women's Refuge store across the parking lot selling furniture and antiques. The Women's Refuge does a lot of good in the community so you can feel good about volunteering, shopping, and donating here.
