I asked the bakery person that took my order if there would be someone available to get the cake for me when I come to pick it up. I have been there in the past to pick up an order and no one was present to help me. She said she would not be there but her supervisor would be. When I arrived to pick up my cake no one was there and all the lights were turned off. I went to Customer Service for help but they were unable to figure out who to call and did not appear concerned at all. To make matters worse, I had flowers in my car that was sitting in a 100+ degree parking lot. After about 25-30 minutes waiting, I ASKED if someone could call a supervisor over the loud speaker. Evidently the thought never entered their mind they could do that. Finally an employee came that had a key and retrieved my cupcake bouquet. As a customer, especially with a bakery order that has to be picked up around a certain time frame, whoever is in charge should make certain that someone is there who has a key and able to assist the customer. Or put up a sign saying if no one is available go to Customer Service and have them call a pre-assigned employee with a bakery key who is responsible for opening the bakery to retrieve pick up orders for customers. There should always be someone on duty assigned to open the bakery for pick up orders at all reasonable hours. This is inexcusable and VERY POOR Customer Service.

I used the same stylist every time. I feel the stylist needs to stop talking so much, pay attention and ask client questions. Not being from Florida, I had never heard of Beall's until a few years ago when I visited the…read moreChiefland area for the first time. Now each year when we come to the area, I make sure to get in a trip to Beall's at least once to peruse and shop. Beall's is located right in town in Chiefland, at the end of a strip mall. It shares a parking lot with the other businesses in the strip, but there are always spots available. We visited on a Saturday morning this past July, and had no trouble finding somewhere to park. I have personally never visited this store when there was an overwhelming crowd, but there are usually at least a few others shopping at any given time. It is really the only department-esque store in the town, so I would imagine a lot of locals come here to do their shopping for clothing and home items if they do not want to drive to a more major city. If you have never been to Beall's, I would describe it as a mix between a Burlington Coat Factory/TJ Maxx/Kohl's. They have a healthy selection of clothes for all (men, women, children), home decor, accessories, house supplies, gifts, and more. It is definitely a store you can spend some time in just looking around at all of the different selection and variety of items. It also seems like the inventory rotates, so you never quite know what you will find, which is part of the fun! The prices and value here are fair. I would compare it to that of a TJ Maxx in this regard. It is considered an outlet, so presumably they will have brands at slightly lower prices than you may find in a department store. Anytime I have visited this location, the staff have been friendly and helpful. I have never had bad service, nor have I personally ever heard of anyone else having bad service here, either! I am glad that this store exists in Chiefland. As stated, there is not really another store like it in the town or general area, so it is great for those who do not want to drive a significant distance for a new outfit or something for their home. They always have a healthy selection and variety, along with great service. I will definitely be back the next time I find myself in the Chiefland area!
