The tables are kind of rustic and the decor is French and American but not in the sticky pastel sort of way. It was nice that there were no gimmicks... they didn't need them. We ordered a small mocha, latte, 2 pain au chocolates, and a ham&cheese croissant. The coffee is brewed perfectly and it's incredibly fresh. It left a clean mouth feel that was a dramatic departure from big box coffee. The food is made in-house. The bread is crisp and flakey on the outside and chewy inside. The flavors were very pronounced. It was amazing! The only holdbacks were that some in our group didn't try food and so could not give a full 5 stars. Super plus that the person behind the counter was in fact, European. I cannot recommend this place enough. "Let's eat cake!"

Always throws me for a loop. The staff were helpful and gave some good recommendations for what to try. We tried iced Irish Cream and a Vanilla Caramel concoction. Both were just what we needed for an afternoon pick-me-up and a little stop off during our drive.

I got one pumpkin pie fritalia here like a couple months ago and I was so impressed with how good it was. I came back when I bought bello espresso machine to start getting beans from the because I loved the taste of that one coffee. I picked up another pumpkin pie latte as well my beans weren't ground right even though I expressed several times that I needed an espresso grind and my coffee was disgusting it tasted nothing like the first one I had. I was so disappointed I went back to see if I could get the beans ground right and they were super happy to help and expressed how apologetic they were that it was ground on a regular coffee setting. So I said ok cool I went back there a few more times and it was grinder right each time. I then went back there to get it another back about 3 weeks ago and again it was grounded wrong I had to go back twice more for them to fix the grind. They fixed it and I was on my way however I went in today to get my espresso ground and it was ground wrong again and I let the girl know like hey I'm so sorry but I know if I go home with this my machine just isn't going to like it because it's really coarse. Then before I know it the owner is coming out of the window telling me how much money he's lost because he's had to regrind a few bags of espresso. Meanwhile his employees are mean mugging me in the background because I was kindly expressing to them that it's not the right grind. I was so upset that I was treated like that being that I am a loyal customer who buys beans, drinks, and pasties at both beans and brews in town several times a week. So as he's being aggressive over lost money over a few bags of beans I'm spending well over 100 a week at establishments. So I wanted to leave a note here to let you know there never consistent with there service god forbid you have a problem get ready to get yelled at and approached very aggressively by the owner. This is a short version of the story there's more but I made my point. read more
