Beans Creek is just off I-24 in Manchester, not far from shopping on the square. The wine flight was a great option to try some before choosing a bottle or glass of your favorite. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They do have a new food menu and have redone the inside for more seating![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The new winetails were really good and perfect for a summer day. Definitely recommend checking it out. The owners and winemaker are often the ones serving, so ask them any questions! read more

We live near the winery and drive past it quite often . But this time there was a chili cook off and we had to go. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We walked in and there is a really nice wine bar.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I checked in and got a free wine tasting . You get to try 6 wines. And they were all very good. We sat with Jeff who was friendly and spoke of the events he was creating there. Went to the back where the chili was and tried them all. There's a winery tour and a shop for purchasing wines & wine related merch. The prices were reasonable, and the staff were great. Looking forward to our next visit. Stop by and try a glass. Top notch! Celebrated Galentine's Day with some gal pals at Beans Creek. It was wonderful! We all did tastings, and paired it with a very nice, shared, decently priced ($10-15, depending on which size) charcuterie as a snack. The service Alan provided was exceptional, and the wines were great! All in all, a better experience at a lower cost with excellent quality than Napa (IMO). I highly recommend it, if you enjoy a fun, low key site with great local wines. read more

We found three of their wines enough to buy them but weren't "blown away" by any. This is a nice winery, very convenient to Interstate 24 in Manchester. They have a wide selection of wines and the prices are in line with most others. What kept it from getting a fourth star was our server, who needed several (not just 1 or 2) prompts to tell us what wine we were tasting. This detracted from the experience. read more

This place is so cool. Your check in on Yelp entitles you to a free tasting of 6 wines, but they let us try about 8. The Cynthiana is the absolute bomb, smoky, red, complex, perfect for smoked foods, and $19.95/bottle. My second favorite was the Syrah Reserve, an aged very good complex red. The port was fantastic. Yes, we had to get the 6 bottle special at 10% off. If you drive by here, stop by here. These are amazingly good inexpensive wines. Mostly grown in Tennessee. You can taste the clay in the medium to dry reds for certain. The sherry was also good. Yes, they were ALL good! read more

We came here on a whim with my husbands parents. They have a great selection of sweet, semi-sweet, and dry wines, as well as two dessert wines. Their space is nice, with a spacious outdoor area as well. We did the tasting, then sat outside for a bit. They seem to support other local businesses and incorporate a variety of events like yoga, painting, and music nights. Loved meeting the owner and chatting with the staff. We stopped in to try a free tasting offered here on YELP. It's right off the highway. The young man who did the tastings was so pleasant and helpful. Their port is amazing so definitely would recommend you buy it! Definitely worth the stop, the other wines I tried were pretty good as well. read more

Had a wonderful visit to the winery. Relaxing and informative, without a pretentious feel. Stephen was a delight and made our stop truly enjoyable. You can choose from 6 tastings for $6 or taste all (14+) for $10. There are also some flight options. We went for the whole list and were pleasantly surprised by the quality and enjoyed the vast majority. Went home with the award winning port and a bottle of TN Vidal Blanc. Total with tastings and a coaster was $78. A nice, unexpected diversion on our road trip from MN to FL! read more

We walked in and said hello. No one said anything to us. There was a gentleman tasting and another male sitting behind the counter. The lady working wasn't friendly I think due to them closing in 55 minutes or maybe she is just not friendly. My Mom in law who is 79 years old didn't have her ID. The lady behind the bar said she couldn't serve her without her ID. If that's the rule I think that's fine but not being friendly and inviting in a winery tasting room is the first for me. I have been all over the country wine tasting. I won't be back. This is a shame since I drink a lot of wine and was hoping in my new home area to find a winery nearby. This review is not on the wine since I never got to taste any just the experience walking in and interacting with the person working there. I will be going back to Amber Falls Winery. read more

Participated in a wine tasting (great selection). The server let me try 2 extra and can I say the pours were generous? I was impressed with each of the wines I tried (both dry and sweet). Confession Time! I bought the Living Social deal for Beans Creek before attending A Toast To Tennessee Wine Festival. Upon visiting the Wine Festival and trying the selection of wines that Beans Creek had chosen to bring, I was incredibly disappointed. I didn't like any of the 3 wines I tried that day and worried that I had wasted my hard earned dollars on a Living Social deal. A road trip to the south part of the Middle Tennessee brought me to the area of Beans Creek, and with trepidation I entered their shop ready to spend my Living Social bucks. I figured I could give the wine away to SOMEONE if I didn't like it. We were greeted with a friendly smile by the lady in the shop. I looked over their list of wines to find that they offer a HUGE selection. Being a fan of the sweeter wines, I told her of my interests, and she made a recommendation. It was delicious...and so were all of the other wines that she recommended. I had a difficult time choosing what wines I wanted to purchase without overloading the trunk of my car. There was only one that I tried that I didn't like, and it was one that I had asked for and not one that she had recommended based on my taste preferences. She was incredibly sweet, helpful and knowledgeable about the wines she offered us. Seriously awesome wines! I'll be back or at least be making more Beans Creek purchases from my local stores! read more

This is one of the best wineries I've been to. Being right off of a major highway I was nervous it would be a tourist trap and not about the wine. While they don't grow the grapes at this location they do just down the road. They have a large selection of over 30 wines. They will allow you to taste every wine if you want to for free which is awesome. The wines are from different types of grapes and they have everything from fruity wines to full body. They have a nice shop and a huge tasting area. The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. They also have a nice picnic area in the back and have a summer concert area. We stopped by while we were traveling through the state and highly recommend doing the same and buying a bottle. read more

This place was pretty cool. I met up with some good friends from back home who were visiting in the Nashville area so this place was exactly halfway for each of us. Plus, since we are native Californians, wine tasting is just what we do. I've been pretty leery of wineries in the South. Most seem to just do Muscadine or fruit wines, but this winery had some pretty decent varietals. They had a really nice white wine that both my friend and I really liked and they had a couple of really good red wines, including a special Bonnaroo Red blend that was delish. I really enjoyed the Port they had as well, even bought a bottle. I will definitely come back. It made me feel at home and the guy working there that day was super friendly and pretty knowledgeable about wines, even though he was really young. They do have the Muscadine wine and fruity wine aka Peach Pantydropper? LOL. But they also have some real wine that passed muster. The grounds are pretty too. read more

After a recent trip to another winery, this one was a nice change. The women administering the "tasting" took a good pace and didn't overfill our glasses. Enough to give you a good taste, not enough to get you inebriated, and spent enough time telling you about what you were drinking to keep you from feeling like she just wanted to be done with you. The selections we did sample were quite nice, and we left with several, having purchased a Living Social Deal. This can be a make or break moment, but in no way did she seem frustrated or annoyed by our coupons. If you are an AT&T Customer and have no signal, they do have free Wifi you can use (There is a QR code near the register with the info) I absolutely recommend it if you are passing this way. read more

I had an unbelievable time here, this was the first wine tatsting for a friend of mine who is now hooked. The people are some friendly and welcoming and very generous with the samples! The wine is superb, every single one we had was top notch and Tom the owner took us on a nice tour of his operation. I am so glad this was recommended to me while at the Jack Daniel's Distillery. This place is fantastic. Tom Brown really provides an incredible experience tasting the wines and learning the process. They have a wide range of wines for your pallet and do a great job finding the right wine for you. The Midnight Sun and Noiret were my wines of choice, although we thoroughly enjoyed the Chardonel and Verdot Blanc. The Rose is also nice for a hot day. Next time we're in Nashville we'll be back to visit! read more

Very very impressed with the wines here. Nice dry whites and dry reds from TN hybrid grapes. Syrah was our favorite, so we bought a bottle and we also picked up a rose before we left. Great customer service and one-on-one tasting experience. I even like their fruit wines, which is usually a no-go for me. Real fruit inclusion and not a flavoring additive. Strawberry sparkling was especially impressive--don't be deterred by the color. Would make a fantastic margarita floater or ridiculous mimosa. read more

I stopped in because of the name. It's a tiny place but the employee was super helpful. It's right off the expressway so I was able to check it out during a road trip from Tampa to Chicago. Our family dropped by and visited the Beans Creek Winery on our way through the area. The facilities are nice and they have a good variety of locally sourced wines. Nice dry reds, sweet whites, and even a blend of wine and sherry. The stop would have been more pleasant if the person serving the tastings had been more personable. I also like to hear a brief history of the winery, none of this with this hostess, very much taste / buy / leave attitude. read more

We're passionate about two things: wine and Tennessee. That's why we decided to create a winery that focuses predominantly on local grapes. Since our opening in 2004, we've produced over 35 award-winning wines, and we've provided a lot of fun for our visitors along the way. History

Established in 2004.

Beans Creek Winery began as a dream no larger than a grape. Tom made his first wine in 1976 in a pickle crock in his mother's kitchen with childhood friends Joe and Dan Lasater. Tom has spent 30 years perfecting our award-winning wine style using grapes and fruit that grow well in Tennessee. In 2003 with the help and support of other winegrowing families, our dream became reality. Our member vineyards are located in the Coffee, Warren, and Williamson counties in middle Tennessee. We purchase grapes from growers in Sumner, Robertson, Sequatchie, Loudon and Sullivan counties of Tennessee. Beans Creek Winery is pleased to offer a wide selection of Tennessee wines.

Becky and her husband, Tom, became amateur winemakers as a hobby, and, as they say, the rest is history. As the owner of Beans Creek Winery, Becky is passionate about sharing her love for wine with others. She leads her staff in offering friendly, knowledgeable service and ensuring every guest has a fun time whether they're there for a tasting or for an event.

We stopped inside the winery to browse the wine selection. You can purchase bottles to enjoy on-site or order a flight if you'd like to sample a few different varieties. They also offer snacks, water, and a selection of wine-themed merchandise for anyone looking to take home a souvenir. After making our selections, we headed outside to a picnic table with a beautiful view of the vineyard and the mountains in the distance. The scenery was absolutely gorgeous! Everywhere I looked, people were enjoying themselves. Some groups had elaborate picnics set up, others were dancing to the live music, and many were simply relaxing with friends and family. The atmosphere was such a vibe, and I loved every minute of it. After a couple of hours of wine, conversation, and beautiful views, we were ready to head out. One of the golf cart drivers was kind enough to give us a ride back down the hill to our car, which was the perfect ending to a relaxing afternoon. Overall, I had such a great experience at Arrington Vineyards. Between the gorgeous scenery, live music, wine, and laid-back atmosphere, it's the perfect place to spend a few hours with friends. We lucked up and were able to get a picnic table and a nice socially distant grassy area for our blanket. Since you're allowed to bring food and drink this amenity allowed us to set up pretty easy. I gave myself a tour of the vineyard down a small dirt road next to it...nothing to wow about but it's a cute and romantic stroll and good for selfies. Even without the tour, we had a fantastic experience. One of the unexpected highlights was the free shuttle that takes you from the parking area through historic Lynchburg to the Welcome Center. Along the way, the driver shares interesting history about the town and the distillery, which was a nice touch. The Welcome Center also offers a Whiskey Trail passport where you can collect stamps and free poker chips from participating Tennessee distilleries. We only had time to visit Jack Daniel's, but it was a really fun keepsake and definitely made us want to come back and explore more. Instead of the tour tasting, we opted for one of the paid tastings. I'm so glad we did because we were able to choose the whiskeys we actually wanted to try instead of a preset tasting lineup. The gentleman leading our tasting was knowledgeable, friendly, and shared plenty of history about both the distillery and each whiskey we sampled. The gift shops are adorable, and the pedestrian bridge makes it easy to walk into downtown Lynchburg, where there are plenty of locally owned shops and Jack Daniel's merchandise to browse. It's a charming little town that's perfect for strolling. I left with a small bottle of Single Barrel that became my evening sip for the rest of our road trip, and it was the perfect souvenir. Even without taking the full tour, this was a wonderful experience. If we find ourselves back in the area, we'd absolutely visit again--and next time we may finally take that tour. 10/10 would recommend.

The slushy was absolutely better in the hot summer day as we walked the property to learn about the history of the origination and the master distillers story. Years of history and purity are what make the whiskey what it is. Enjoyed world wide, and for a good reason. I would have just wished the tour was more centralized around the water tunnel where they show you the demineralization process of the water they use. Probably the coolest spot in Tennessee. Simply a MUST stop and worth the price of the tour. Absolutely loved every bit of it his tour. Worth every ounce of sweat to experience one of my favorite whiskeys! Didn't disappoint, and our tour guide was amazing! Wishing her a happy retirements and a huge thank you for being a school teacher in her county! But up the road, just past the distillery is where you can find the town's center with antique shops, gift shops, an ice cream parlor, a pizza place and few other places to past the time away while visiting. The friend I came down to visit has been meaning to check out their winery, so we made it a point to put it on the itinerary and it did not disappoint. When walking in, you enter in a room with a register to the right and some novelty items for purchase. Just past this is the actual tasting room. The room is rustic and spacious with a nice size bar in the center. They had two people manning the bar. According to the website, they had two tastings, a regular and a premium. But when we got to the bar, there was only the regular tasting available. Pencils are placed at the bar for you to check off what wines you'd like to sample. They are listed in order from dry to sweet. The wines were tasty with the Moscato being my fav and the Pinot being my friend's. We bought a bottle of each. Each bottle cost $17.95 which isn't bad in the slightest. Things to note: 1) There is no food for purchase but if you need a soda, you can purchase one from the fridge in the tasting room. 2) if you are hungry, don't fret! Like mentioned earlier, there are food options within the town. 3) The Lynchburg Distillery is attached, with moonshine that can be bought as well. I may have bought a sampler without a tasting because YOLO. 4) Like your tasting glass, they are available for purchase at $2.50. Fun day in Lynchburg, TN and a must if you're ever in the area.
