I have moved out of state, but have bought various firearms from the family when I lived in the area. Did you complainers get that word "family"? Its a mom and pop shop. Yes, some firearms are less expensive elsewhere and that is because of volumn discounts to larger stores. To you complainers, shop elsewhere as the vast majority of commemts like the family and doing business there. I love BearArms. This is the only gun store that I like to go and visit. I've purchased all of my collections firearms from Sig Sauer, Beretta, Girsan, Colts, and Glocks, ammunition, range bag etc. It's family own (Pop's, Becky, and Jay) that's what I like the most. Very knowledgeable and very helpful, will answer all your questions. I love browsing through their websites store and checking out varieties of guns they have. Some are in the website and some in store. And if they don't have it in store they'll get from their website store. I can understand why , it saves inventory and space. Ok your probably thinking why not go another gun store that have the gun in stock. Why ? I like my guns untouched by too many hands. Hands down they best place to purchase firearms. They are personable, knowledgeable, and very helpful. Encouraged me to try out the firearms I was interested in at a local range to make sure of what I wanted. This was a big risk on Jay's part knowing if you do not close the sale you risk it. I've lived near this shop ever since it opened. Wasn't really into guns so much back in the day. But now I am quite interested in owning one for protection as well as shooting practice at the range with friends. I'm glad I decided to come in and check these guys out. They have very competitive prices on their merchandise. I literally shopped around on the internet and calling shops and they beat the others buy a decent margin. They also have an certified in-house Glocksmith. It's definitely a family run business. I was treated with politeness and all of my questions were answered. These guys really know their stuff. Background check was completed very fast with a cwp. They can do drop transfers also, & they have an online catalog to shop what is available. They also sell teddy-bears and model train sets and equipment which is a neat business combination style imho. I mean why not? My advice is if you want something, check out their website and then call for the next delivery on it. They update their website every 15 minutes the guy told me. This is a great place for a shooting enthusiast! The store was great to do business with! I purchased a Mossberg 590A1 Tactical Tri-Rail Adjustable Stock shotgun from them; a soft sided shotgun case, targets, range flags, hats -- and I'd have purchased much more had someone not come in and cleaned out all the 12-gauge shotgun ammunition. The people who own this store are great ambassadors to the shooting world. They are very knowledgeable and helpful, not pushy at all like some firearm stores. They told me what they thought when I asked their advice, which was not self-serving. What's most appreciated about them was that they treated me with respect and dignity -- which was far more than I received at some major stores (such as being addressed "honey" by someone who did not get my business) or having someone tell me what I should get ("my girlfriend carries this gun..." which was a wimpy little .380 ACP noisemaker, when what I wanted to purchase was a Nighthawk T-3 1911 in .45 ACP: he wanted to sell me a $450 pistol and talked himself right out of a $5000 sale that day). I've already started my wish list -- and as they treated me so well, they've earned my loyalty. Excellent customer service and prices. So I've purchased multiple items here since I was 21. So a decade of experiences before posting review. I really like & respect the whole, "your purchase supports a family put food on the table, a little girl get music lessons, etc.". BUT, as a business, you need to treat the people whom support you so you can do those things with a drastically greater amount of service. When you call this place on the phone, there is no message option. Its either they answer the phone or you listen to a message and it hangs up. People are calling because they want to support your trips, kids lessons, etc. Multiple times I have stood at the counter and just waited for minutes, sometimes a very uncomfortable amount of time before ANYONE greeted me. One guy is in a sent through office. One guy in a cubicle to the right. One woman working on something. Not a single person in there but me... Standing there.. With a GUN case... Waiting... To try and give you money to support your family go on trips, pay for lessons, etc. A lot of people are not comfortable with firearms. They are looking for someone they can trust and rely on to help them understand what they are buying and that it is the best choice. If they already know what they want, they would go online and get it from armslist or something. My Point: stop being like all the other gun stores that hire people that don't know how to take care of people. Start giving a shit about the people and try actually helping someone learn something or have an experience. read more

First off, let me say that I believe in the protection of the second amendment, and believe that the right to bear arms (while unfortunately a losing battle when looked at as its original intention) should be upheld. However... IN MY OPINION... I do not think it in the best taste to have a teddy bear collectible shop and a gun shop operating in the ?complimentary? fashion that these two businesses are. I entered thinking that it was a build-a-bear workshop type of establishment, and was utterly shocked. Yes, it's a great amount of inventory, and if you're looking for guns, guns, and more guns, this is a good place to go. However, if you're looking for stuffed bears, I would suggest taking the kids to a different establishment or going without them. Today I came here with a friend for a FFL and it was a really decent experience. So this review will pertain to the FFL transfer rather than gun purchase. Service: The couple who works here are really kind and helped us through the FFL process with a lot of care and understanding. I've transferred guns before and this is by far the best service I had. Price: FFL was $25 which is the cheapest you'll probably find in the area. Overall: This place is a 5/5 in terms of FFL transfer. I would honestly drive 15 miles to do an FFL here because of how smooth it went. read more

They aren't super talkative, but they try and make conversation and try and crack jokes to get ya to laugh. The place was really clean and very organized. Overpriced and not that considerate the times I've been in. I will say they did all there paperwork correctly and the firearm I purchased was what I wanted. Seams they were at least $100 overpriced at the time I bought it. Closest one to my home for purchases and highly doubt I'll use them again. Buy at your own risk, and don't be afraid to do some price matching at other shops. Try Cabella's or a reputable name like that. Well worth the drive and a hell of a lot more inventory. read more

I've been buying from Bear Arms for about 10 years now, probably close to a dozen guns. The folks have always been helpful and friendly. They have helped me with purchases for home defense, concealed carry, and training/competition. Most recently I purchased two handguns and a rifle for competitive cowboy action shooting. I have no problem recommending this store to people. I don't understand the reviews where people jab at the people in the store or their "business model," unless the reviewers have an agenda - wink-wink (read carefully). They do keep on-hand inventory low but they're running a gun store in western Washington, who can blame them for keeping overhead down. If you have a need for something or questions, talk to them and they will most likely work with you if possible. They did a transfer for me some time back on a vintage Colt Python. They offered to keep specific brand/type of .357 ammo on hand if I needed it. read more
