My two sisters and I (and our significant others) came to celebrate a milestone birthday and were beyond impressed with this place. The ambiance is fantastic! The courtyard is beautiful as well as the patio in the back. The decorating that Kitty has done throughout the inside of the house is really beautiful. And as David says, "We want to concentrate on two things: The bed, and the breakfast." And that is exactly what they have done here. Each evening, David will come to offer your breakfast choices for the following morning. And it's not just bacon and eggs people... these are GOURMET offerings all made fresh on site using fresh ingredients. We had a choice of a peach cobbler oatmeal that had peaches from the tree in the backyard even and it was delicious! There was also one addition that just made my stay even more superb... a little dog named "Jack" and he is the most precious (smiling) doggie that I have ever seen! So stinkin' CUTE! Francis, the owner operator, met us at the door and directed us on where to wash and stow the bikes. Being on the GAP trail this B&B is very bike friendly. We had several other cyclist join us that evening. Once inside we were greeted with freshly baked pastries and cookies. Excellent chocolate chip cookies, some of the best I've ever had. As we were on our bikes and a couple of miles from town, Francis drove us in to town for dinner, dropping us off at the Smoke House, and arranging to pick us up at the gazebo in the town's Central Park. The facility itself is wonderful. We had a large spacious room, with comfortable beds. Perfect after a long day on the trail. The living area was spacious with a large reading area and comfortable couches and chairs. There was also a TV viewing area. We had plenty of table space for computers, and mobile devices, with a very solid hi speed wifi. Breakfast was absolutely marvelous. Francis went over her extensive menu the night before. A perfect way to see us off on our journey. I hope that in the near future I can go back to The Hanna House with my wife and we can spend a few days in the Confluence area. A really nice little town . Bottom line, Hanna's is one of the nicest places I've stayed in.

There is cable and good flat-screen TVs. The common spaces are warm and inviting and the small terrace is a fine place to have a glass of wine and watch the sun set. The breakfasts are scratch-made and wonderful. With all of this, the best part are the owners, Dawn and her mother, Thelma. They bring warmth and charm to a place already full of it. They had great tips on what to do in the area. Don gives fly fishing lessons and is a patient teacher. We had a fantastic breakfast and lots of interesting conversation. I think Karen and Don know something about everything. It was great. I was sorry that we had to be on our way. The good news is this is a 4 seasons area. They are super friendly and knowledgable about the area, so don't be shy to ask them questions about recommended places to see it activities to do. They even do a bonfire on the weekend nights with smores!! The location is set back in a secluded area away from the main resort and areas of deep creek, so it's a nice refuge but still close enough to everything. This is near skiing, and you could enjoy beautiful Somerset fall foliage. I'm told it is rarely humid in the area. It is also close close to the memorial for flight 93. We were in town with family for a funeral and this was a very comforting place to gather and spend time with family and friends. The owners and staff are considerate and kind. They took marvelous good care of us.
