I would recommend Bear Creek to everyone I know. Don't buy into any negative reviews, they are probably just fishing for free cocktails. I have had several friends and small parties here and not a single person has had a bad experience. They make all of their drinks with all fresh ingredients. They have a broad spectrum of drinks from seasonal, sweet, sour, some spicy as well as very well balanced drinks. The staff was wonderful, knowledgeable and friendly. Take the tour, it's fun and you learn a good bit and get a flight of your choice. They have a Q&A while on the tour as well. It's an overall great place. If my friends and I can't make it to the distillery we pick up their products at local liquor stores. read more

Cool place with good drinks! It is bigger than it appears as you enter. We were there for an Neo soul music event. The staff were very engaging and service was good. We did not stay long but would definitely return. I am not sure what the crowd is like other days times as a few patrons entering had a look of surprise to see so many Black people (15 max) and that was disappointing perhaps that will not always be the case. They only serve what they distill and that was nice to see and experience even though I prefer tequila I did enjoy the Rye vodka. read more

I came to Bear Creek Distillery because someone recommended it and I haven't spend much time in that area exploring. It seems like the area was a bit industrial but is changing over with more neighborhood establishments. I vibe when you first enter will make you want to stay for hours. We sat in the secondary room where all the board games reside. I ordered the S'more Old Fashion which I had high hopes for but was a bit too strong and less s'more flavor than I expected. The best part was the homemade marshmallow that was perfectly toasted. The rest of my party got mules (because they were running a $5 special) and the Bourbon Special cocktail. The later was the best of all the drinks. We enjoyed the drinks and a few board games. I would definitely come back as a date night or bring out of town friends. read more

They have the more traditional ones like an old fashioned and margarita but what is the fun in ordering something you can get anywhere! I opted for the Key Lime Pie-corn vodka, vanilla vodka, lime juice, simple syrup, aquafaba. Super small and chill space but pretty intimate. Nice size tv in the back that had boxing on which was super dope. Didn't have any food there but the things on the menu sounded delicious. The drinks were great and for the price felt it was worth it. Being that it's a smaller place the service was pretty good, plenty of servers attending the tables so you never went long without having another drink if needed. I stopped by Bear Creek Distillery on a Sunday afternoon while on a business trip. I really enjoy visiting craft distilleries and this one didn't disappoint! I tried a flight of their popular whiskies for a small fee. The attendant was knowledgeable, friendly, and answered all my questions. The rye whiskey was my favorite, followed closely by the wheated bourbon. Very good! The bottle prices are average for craft distilleries, but the product is worth it! read more

I have been meaning to review this place for a while ! This is such a great place to go to taste their unique and delicious cocktails. We buy bear creek spirits, especially the spiced rum for some of our holiday cocktails each year, and we still like to occasionally hit the tasting room for ideas. The service is literally always phenomenal no matter who is there, and they are so willing to let you try different stuff. Because this is a real distillery, the tasting room is small, which I think is a good thing. They have a separate room where you can buy some swag also. My husband and I went on a couples weekend away to Denver last fall. This came up when I was searching for things to do. It's a cute little spot that you can tour to find out about the distilling process. The tour tickets were VERY reasonably priced and if I recall correctly included 2 cocktails OR a flight of whiskeys to sample. I am not big on whiskey so I chose the cocktails. One that I still think about was "Fall in a cup". No, that wasn't the name haha but it TASTED like fall. It was so delicious. I wish I knew what was in it. Have you ever been to a taproom where the drinks were so good you were blown away while you were drinking them, thought about them after you went home, then woke up and was still blown away by how delicious they were? Well this was Bear Creek Distillery (BCD) for me. We came to this brewery as a recommendation and I'm so glad I found this gem! Hands down, some of the best drinks I've ever had and I talked about these drinks for days after. I haven't been to many distilleries or bars since the pandemic. Primarily because many of them taste the same and instead I find myself drawn to breweries instead. At BCD, they handcraft and award winning grain to bottle spirits including straight bourbon, wheaten bourbon, rye whiskey, wheat whiskey, white whiskey, cast strength rum, spiced rum, silver rum, rye vodka, and wheat vodka. Every drink I've tried was stellar! I've tried the Red Panda, Strawberry Balsamic Smash, Old Fashioned, Tarragon But We Still Drinkin, Big Blue Bear, and Brown Butter Old Fashioned. I loved each of them except the Old Fashioned. While it was good, it did not have a wow factor to it that I've had at other places. Every other drink was tasty, unique, and flavorful. My one suggestion is to make the drink menu easier to find. I've tried googling, going on their Facebook, Yelp, but no place had the full menu. Luckily I was able to find the QR code I scanned when I was at the distillery and found the open tab to look at drinks which makes it a bit of a vastly! Other than that, I definitely found a new favorite place for drinks and will be back again soon to try the other drinks from the menu. read more

Bear Creek Distillery was a great second stop on a local distillery tour with an out of town guest. We first heard about Bear Creek when we were at Molly's and one of their reps, Doug, was their and he chatted us up. He mentioned coming down to their distillery and also checking out Law's which was also a few blocks away. Bear Creek has an awesome tasting room with a ton of unique cocktails with all their own spirits! We ended up taking a tour from one of their owners which was a fun time. All the staff were super pleasant and I loved the complimentary flight after our tour. Their wheat vodka was for sure the standout for me; light with a nice buttery finish. We will for sure be back for more. Update from free ski waxing event on 1/16/20. When we were at Bear Creek a few weeks ago we noticed a free ski wax event in January. My husband and I loved our first time there so we made sure to make note of this event. We were welcomed at the door, dropped off our gear, and quickly got drinks. As time went on we started discussing dinner and magically pizzas arrived for everyone hanging out. Perfect touch for an already fun event. We've been here a few times and it's always been an amazing time with friends. The staff are so friendly and the drinks are amazing. I'm going to call them "mixologists" because they really mix some fantastic drinks. The last time we were there, we sampled so many amazing drinks. I wish I could remember the names of them all, but there were some that you would think had strange ingredients. But when combined with the others, the drinks were fantastic. I seem to remember one which was made with bell peppers (a twist on a bloody mary?) and the tiki one was a favorite of mine. It's a cozy atmosphere, so you may not be able to get a large group of people in there (one time we did have a game night with friends in the back area). They have some outdoor seating as well. But seriously, if you are wanting some delicious drinks and want a bit of adventure, you have to try Bear Creek Distillery. I can't wait to go back again! read more

This is my new favorite place. Literally obsessed. STAR #1: The space itself is gorgeous. Unassuming on the outside, and a gorgeous gem on the inside! The bartop and smaller tasting room greets upon entering, with a large tasting room to the right. It's cozy, welcoming and brings all the vibes! The best way to describe the vibes is rustic modern chic. The exposed wood beams, open shelves showcasing the cutest decor, and a pop of glitz behind the bar, makes for a truly beautiful space! STAR #2: The staff is truly amazing! We bellied up to the bar and took a seat in the middle. Maya, the sweet little blonde, greeted us right away, along with another young man who conversed with us, gave us the history of the joint and pointed out his favorite liquors. We spent ample time chatting and found ourselves to feel right at home. STAR #3: Now onto the liquor! Made and bottled in house, each liquor is truly one-of-a-kind. Wheat & Rye Vodka's, whiskey, bourbon and silver, spiced and cask rum - are only a few of the specialized liquors offered. Unique to their brand is the Rye Vodka - made similarly to their Whiskey, which I happily enjoyed. We opted for a small flight of 4 (wheat/rye vodka, silver and cask rum) which was the perfect introduction to their offerings. The menu - HOT DAMN! Featuring the most unique soda and juice combinations, I decided on the most delicious strawberry cocktail that featured Rye Vodka, fresh strawberries, cucumber, limes, simple syrup and a splash of balsamic! YUM! STAR #4: HOLY merch! To the left of the entrance lining the wall, is a massive iron shelf filled with tee-shirts, coozies, cocktail glasses, along with various bottles of alcohol for sale. I wouldn't call myself a big drinker or very knowledgeable in the craft. I do enjoy a well made drink though. Bear Creek did a pretty good job on crafting some cocktails for us on a random evening visit. You could taste the alcohol but it wasn't overpowering the rest of the flavors on either drink I tried. The bartenders were pretty attentive and you can take your drinks and find a table in the decent sized rooms. It's not fancy on the outside but pretty clean and welcoming inside. This distillery is just enough off the main drag that I might never have found it myself. My partner in crime for the evening knew they were there and made the suggestion. Limited parking but it's not a huge place. You might want to Uber or Lyft here anyway, if you're going to have a couple drinks or more. read more

Sooooo, Bear Creek Distillery was featured on Colorado & Company which is the corny way/reason I found out about it. I'd have to say that I'm pretty happy I was randomly watching this segment as this place is pretty great. The location itself is fairly convenient (a block off Broadway) but surprisingly there is not more parking (so keep that in mind when visiting). The space itself is large but most of the building is occupied by the actually distilling equipment. The bar itself is fairly small and there is a great additional room with more seating for larger groups. There were plenty of staff members available to assist throughout the entire evening which was a huge positive because these people aren't just pouring a simple bear it's a craft cocktail experience. The staff were helpful and friendly and were willing to give any recommendations when asked which was nice. Drinks: the flight was in my mind a better than average flight experience and my take aways are as follows: the bourbon/rye's both really great, the cask aged rum WOW, a kick in the pants, and finally the Rye Vodka the surprising show stopper. I also had a traditional Old Fashioned which was average - maybe a little sweet for my taste. Finally the rockstar the experience was the Red Panda which has this beautifully crafted Red Bell Pepper juice and Basil in it. It's the strangest most wonderful concept in the business. I could see myself having like three of these guys as I had to force myself to go outside of this (as I had this first). I most certainly would return to Bear Creek and have already told a whiskey/bourbon loving friend about it. Keep up the good work. I'm pretty into your Bear Creek! read more

SO HAPPY we decided to visit this distillery on a whim. While the place is small, can be loud and is not in the best neighborhood, the ambiance inside and the drinks served are one hundred percent worth it! I had two drinks: strawberry basil smash and the red panda. Both were had crafted in front of me with fresh ingredients and careful hands. They also turned out to be some of the best cocktails I've had in Denver by far! My boyfriend had a whiksey taster set and loved all of those whiskeys as well. While 10$ is not cheap for a cocktail, it's not expensive either. And when you see how they make them, you know it's worth it. Wow! How did I not come here sooner?! These were hands-down the best cocktails I've ever had! Bear Creek Distillery makes all their own spirits and they are so smooth and delicious. There is a huge selection of cocktails made with a variety of spirits! I tried three different cocktails and each one blew my mind. The red panda is one of the more unique cocktails I've ever had. It is on the savory side and is so smooth and is a perfect flavor combo! The blackberry sour was great as well! We also tried the holly jolly, which was a seasonal special. I hope they still have it when I go back because it was delicious!! The only struggle is not drinking them really fast because they taste so good!! I even wondered if there was alcohol in them because they were so smooth (but time let me know that there definitely was). I really liked the vibe of the bar as well. The interior design is cool and there is great energy. It is pretty loud inside so it wouldn't be the place if you are looking for a quiet, intimate evening. I loved the music they played though. I found myself dancing along to the beats at my table. They played a great variety and I really loved the rap and hip hop they played. They even played a track from the Hamilton Mixtape (and I had a mini freak out because I was so excited!)! Caitlyn was our bar tender and she was incredible! So friendly and helpful and sweet.
