My check-in said, "When the Spirit Hounds you to drink to keep you warm" this is a place to go. Spirit Hound really means what their sign outside says - "Come on in. Hang out." Such a lovely tasting room in the Highlands filled with humorous and cute dog decor with a very chill vibe. Creative cocktails are offered and their spirits are proudly displayed in a giant barrel shelf behind the bar. Staff are friendly AND talented. They don't just mix the cocktails, they even offer cocktail classes every Saturday from 1-3pm and on Thursday evenings. Most cocktails will run you around $12 and are seasonal offerings divided up based on spirit (gin, whisky, vodka, other spirits). I had to try the Colorado Carajillo as the carajillo is becoming one of my favorite flavor profile drinks. The Apple Chai Moonarita was a fun blend of their Apple infused White Dog Moonshine, chai syrup, orange liqueur, and fresh lemon. Even though it was a cold drink it was perfect for the polar vortex weather outside and warmed me up. I will definitely be back to try more cocktails and test my skills at one of their cocktail classes.

Such a cool place! They have a board of dog photos, the bartenders are smiley and nice, and the drinks are delicious. It's a new ish spot, and is filled with charm! The wood of the barrels everywhere and the displays are so cool. Gotta love a place that loves dogs. The whiskey itself? Carefully crafted and beautifully bottled. Tastes amazing in the cocktail too. Almost no bite at

Really loved our experience here! Great bartender and delicious drinks. Loved the Cafe Colorado Liquer and the seasonal one that was Peppermint. Also tried a flight with whiskey and bourbon

5 stars alone for the hospitality and red carpet treatment. Add in award-winning spirits and a Colorado-themed atmosphere and you're in a local distillery daze of delight. This used to to be the old Mythology space, a distillery I still like to this day. They moved to Steamboat full time, and I was curious who'd take over. Normally, a new place comes in and you're longing for the previous business. Not here. Spirit Hound has brought their A game. They took over right where Mythology left off, and have exceeded expectations for their guests. They have a sizable cocktail menu with barrel selects of their spirits. It was a little too hot outside for me to stick to a spirits flight, but you bet your ass I'll be doing that when it cools down! I stuck with two old fashioneds, one with a bourbon and the other with a rye. They were both excellent! Major props to Vanessa, who guided us into whiskey bliss with her extensive knowledge of the brand and all the incredible whiskey knowledge she provided. They do, in fact, produce other spirits too, not just whiskey! It's nice to see this space alive and well again. Plenty of options for a bite from a local restaurant nearby, then head here for a nightcap. Or start your night here. Do your thing! Just keep it local and support spots like Spirit Hound!

Spirit Hound is a great neighborhood distillery/ tasting room. They have happy hour M-F from 3-6 with all of their cocktails priced at just $8! I also really love that they're so dog friendly so my pup and I can pop in for a cocktail during our walks!

So, back when this place was Mythology I came a few times and always enjoyed the libations, service, and ambiance. In that respect, little has changed since it became Spirit Hound. Indeed, it is a worthy "spiritual" successor. Lately, I have been coming for the comedy shows on Friday nights (put on by Cloudy Eyed). Service has been consistently good and so many drinks that I truly enjoy here. The harvest mule, the aviation, those are just a couple of the ones that I really enjoy. All of the classic, booze forward cocktails done here are also quite good.

Delicious and adorable. The details involved in making the authentic Spirit Hound cocktails was impressive. The decor is super cute as well, with fun little doggy details adorning nearly every corner of this distillery. They offer several events throughout the week here such as cocktail classes, bingo, trivia, etc. Spirit Hound definitely scores points for a great place for groups and activities in The Highlands. The barkeep was really good at keeping up with everyone's orders. NOTE - there are no waitresses here so you'll need to belly up to the bar to place your order. I tried the Spirit Hound's take on the White Russian - Malted White Russian. I also tried the Hot Peppermint Patty. Good beverages all around. The seating situation is great if you are on the bench side. If not, you are relegated to very uncomfortable bar stools - my only complaint. Would love to visit again in the summer when guest will likely bring their dogs to the "dog library". Will definitely go again when their drink menu is likely to change with the season. Hilarious!

Happy hour cocktails

Awesome happy hour with great cocktails! Very knowledgeable bartender. Cute little place with lots of weekly events. Food menu is limited but that's not what we came for. Definitely will be back!

My friends and I stumbled in for a quick pre-dinner drink and the bartenders immediately greeted us and made us feel welcome. They were so friendly! The excitement surrounding their grand opening in a new location was palpable, and it was fun to be a part of it. Two of us ordered drinks from their grand opening menu, one gin and one vodka, and both were delicious. It was hard to choose - they also had a pineapple rum drink and an Old Fashioned that I need to go back for. One of my friends asked if they could make her a alcohol-free beverage and the bartender was able to whip up a yummy concoction on the spot, which we appreciated! Overall a great little spot and a perfect addition to the neighborhood. We'll be back!

Try them, you won't be disappointed!

This review is based on a tasting we did last Friday evening up at Central Park Fine Wine & Spirits. I am horrible and forget the young ladies name that was there on behalf of your distillery but she was great! She had a great personality and really enjoyed educating everyone on your spirits and products. We tried your gin, vodka, cafe Colorado coffee liquor, whisky and honey malt whisky. They all tasted great! The gin and tonic drink was yummy and not too strong flavor (I don't even normally like G&T so that says something!) and she made an espresso martini and it was very good. Some of the gals bought the cafe Colorado to take home! That honey whiskey was a strong one, "it burned so good" was the consensus Haha! We truly appreciated the opportunity to sample these spirits and purchase some for ourselves and also take home some "sweet swag".

Nice setting in a residential area. Parking could be a challenge. Great laid back industrial feel. Bees Knees and Old fashioned were both delicious! Attentive bar tender.

This is a really fantastic new neighborhood tavern...& everyone should get themselves there to taste their award-winning spirits! Tonight we had an IT networking event here & the space is very accommodating...sit at the bar, or high tables near the front windows, or low tables along the wall, or there's even an ante room for small group gatherings. The bartenders were super friendly, would give tasters, & were more than happy to whip something up if it wasn't on the menu. Had a Bourbon Old Fashioned & custom made White Russian w/their new Cafe Colorado coffee liqueur & both were delicious. Great products. Great service. Great atmosphere. What the heck are you waiting for?

Bedlam was recommended to us for late night drinks by staff working in one of the restaurants at our hotel. During our short stay in Denver, we went to Bedlam twice. The first time was around 11:30 on a Thursday night. We had a few cocktails along with a cheese and charcuterie plate. The second time was around 12:30 on a Saturday night when we came in for a night cap. The first time we came in, it wasn't too busy, and we were encouraged to sit wherever we wanted. The bar was full so we chose a small table. Our server gave us menus, though specials were written on a chalkboard above the bar. We each tired a couple of cocktails and had a shot called the Master Shot. We also chose the make-your-own charcuterie board. Our favorite drink was the Woo Girl, which allowed us to choose our spirit of choice. I chose gin and my friend chose tequila. When we returned a couple of nights later, we knew already we were going to order the Woo Girl cocktail. It was packed on a Saturday night, but there was a small table in back where they seated us. This bar is more for spending time with the friends you come with, rather than mingling, as staff seats you at a table. It doesn't seem like they offer standing room or just squeezing in, though maybe we just didn't experience that. That said, all in all, I really enjoyed Bedlam and recommend it to anyone going to Denver.

My friends and I tried a number of the signature cocktails and had a few hot toddys that were super good. I'm personally a big gin and soda fan and loved ther housemade tonic that was in their classic G&T. Did not try any of the food but the dawgs were definitely would be tempting if I was hungry. Loved the decor and the plants all up in the space. The space is a bit more dimly lit and I think of a reasonable volume for a date. Would love to come back and spend some more time here.

That's when I came across Dearly Departed and I'm so glad I did. We arrived right when they opened at 5pm and were able to walk in and be seated immediately. The speakeasy is tucked into the underground portion of the restaurant, which adds to the charm. The space is beautifully decorated, moody, intimate, and effortlessly upscale. It truly sets the tone the moment you walk down. We ordered two spritzes and a charcuterie board, and both exceeded expectations. The drinks were refreshing, perfectly balanced, and felt elevated without being overcomplicated. But the real star was the charcuterie board. For $20, it was an incredible value, stacked with a variety of meats, cheeses, fresh veggies, nuts, and peppers. The freshly grilled bread was a standout touch, and the portions were more than generous. Every bite felt thoughtfully curated, and there was something new and delicious in every corner of the board. Between the ambiance, the quality of the drinks, and the impressive food, Dearly Departed delivered an experience that felt both cozy and refined. I'd absolutely recommend checking it out for the atmosphere alone. I'm already looking forward to going back and trying more from their menu.

Laid back vibe and welcoming staff. Nothing pretentious at all. The bartenders were knowledgeable and gave great suggestions. Always stayed on top of my drinks. The thing I like most about Death & Co is the way the categorize their drinks: Light and playful, bright and confident, elegant and timeless, boozy and honest, and rich and comforting. I had the aqua profunda (cognac, St. George basil eau di vie, lillet rose, strawberry, lime, and absinthe). I also had the eight limb daiquiri (rum, Canada aguardiente, Thai tea cordial, lime leaf, and Maraschino). The Blood Oath (mezcal, Vecchio del capo, Calabrian chili amaro, St. Germain Elderflower, lavender, honey, lemon). All were complex and delicious. You could pick out every flavor, yet everything melded together so well. They also have some basic bar food and snacks, but somewhat elevated. I had the D&C Burger and it was juicy, rich, and had some great accompanying fries. I usually try to give a more in depth idea of cocktails available, but Death & Co has such a diverse menu with so many amazing craft cocktails that I can't offer that this time . . . you'll have to go in and see it for yourself!
