Good local brewery on Pearl St. It's an area that has a lot of charm. Came in to watch a Broncos game that was early because the Broncos & Jets were in England. The service was friendly and fast and offered suggestions/opinions based on the beers I enjoy, which is always appreciated. As Ben wasn't with me during this visit, I am sure the next time we are in Denver we will be making another stop for him to enjoy. Rude service today. We normally love this place -- great food, great beer, the whole "we're-regulars-who-live-down-the-street" deal. But we stopped in for the holiday stamp, and the man at the bar shut us down like we were trying to redeem a coupon for a free yacht. Even though the stamp passport says "no purchase necessary," he refused to give us one and delivered the message with all the warmth of a parking ticket. We've bought plenty before (and will again!), we just didn't need a beer at that exact second. Looking to try something new, my friends and I decided to check Platt Park Brewery which is located on Pearl Street. Lots of shopping and restaurants nearby which makes for a nice weekend stroll! We got in afternoon it was pretty packed, it took a while to get our beers and food but we socialized like normal people and didn't mind the wait. I had 2 drinks and their nachos that afternoon. The drinks were good! I had the vanilla ale which was good but nothing to rave about. It was easily crushable and light, which was a good way to start my afternoon. The maple waffle cider was the star of the show. It was unique, sweet, aromatic and tart. It literally tastes like a French toast. If you don't like overly sweet ciders then this might be for you. However I enjoyed it and give it a solid 4.5/5. The nachos were also good but I thought could have had more of the beef. It was tasty and the BBQ sauce was great, it might be a little bit too sweet but the flavors blended well. It was one of the better nachos I've had for a while. Overall it was a great afternoon with beers, food and friends. Definitely stop by if you're in the area! read more

We loved stopping at this brewery while staying in the area! It has a spacious, pet friendly patio, and a full snack and drink menu! For drinks, the Oktoberfest stood out the most! We also loved the buffalo nachos! Pretty elevated for nachos with lots of toppings, so I'd definitely recommend! The portion was also quite large. Pimento cheese dip was okay - Pretty cold and hard with uninspiring veggies to dip so I wouldn't recommend that, but everything else was great (including service)!! read more

Came here on a Wednesday after work around 6:30pm. It was fairly empty on the inside with the patio being packed. We sat inside and they had a lot of different type of seat with TVs everywhere. The seating is a bit odd, doesn't seem to flow. Didn't get any food but it was easy to order drinks at the counter. The atmosphere was lively and you can talk comfortably here. I would definitely come back to meet up with friends. I did take one star off because when we came in most of the tables were dirty and stayed that way until after we left a few hours later. It would be nice if they had someone coming around to clear things off. Overall, 4/5 stars! read more

We came to visit during Oktoberfest, and really had a great time! Loved that some of the bartenders dressed up for the occasion, and despite how busy it was, everyone was friendly and enjoying themselves. I was very impressed with how they handled everything under pressure! The vanilla nitro beer was super smooth and creamy, with just the right amount of sweetness- hands down one of my favorite beers ever. My husband had the Oktoberfest, which was hoppier and delicious as well. They had a little window which served food, and the sandwiches looked super fresh. Unique beer options, laid-back vibes. As has become usual on weekends, my husband and I love to check out different breweries. Platt Park just happened to be on the same street we had chosen to grab dinner with friends, so we decided to come here first! It was a beautiful day and we were really hoping for an outdoor seat; unfortunately, they don't have the biggest patio so we weren't able to scoop one up before the crowds swiped them first. Thankfully, the interior of the brewery is really cool with plenty of seating and laid-back vibes throughout. When we ordered at the counter, I got the sense that the bartenders did not really want to be there. They served us fairly quickly but they weren't the friendliest. No biggie though, we all have off days! For drinks, I ordered a flight because they had such a unique array of beers! Seriously - stouts, porters, sours, imperials, IPAs - anything you could ask for, the menu had, which I thought was really awesome. I enjoyed most all of the beers and definitely recommend anyone trying this spot for the first time to get a flight! Great way to get a taste of everything! read more

Excellent beers were consumed from this brewery! We had two different lagers and a wheat beer and really enjoyed all of them! One lager was a Vienna Lager and one was a Helles. This summer I've been enjoying lots of Helles lagers but on this occasion the Vienna Lager won out. Great, clean taste for these hot summer days we are in right now. We unintentionally came here during the NBA championship and it was packed and they were playing the game on every screen! Lots of fun energy! However it took forever for our food to come out, like at least 30-40min but I can understand because of how busy they were. I had one of the beers with pistachio and it was really unique! Would get that again. Their food was mediocre though. The carnitas and chicken tacos were dry and the meat wasn't flavored much. The nachos were better and I liked the BBQ sauce they used. I've been frequenting Platt Park Brewing for quite awhile and have been meaning to write a sparkling review for this gem for quite some time. The staff are incredibly friendly and seem sincerely happy to work at Platt Park. The beers are delicious and I love that you can see the brewing equipment in the back. They usually have a variety of types of beers, including a great sour, my favorite! Gates Deli provides sublime food, far better than your average bar food, my favorite being their different variations of nachos The bar itself has a comfortable atmosphere with neat artwork and a fantastic outdoor dog-friendly patio (one of the only positives to come out of COVID). There's even a Sweet Cow across the street if you want to end your day drinking with a sweet treat! Highly recommend :) read more

My friend got a beer that had the word American in it which was a light/blonde/wheat and she said it was good. I don't like beer, but was heard this place had good sours however was disappointed when the only one I saw on the menu was a watermelon sour because I hate watermelon flavor. I ended up going with a cider, which was fine, but not overwhelming and overpriced in comparison to the beer prices. We both got the Italian Job which was really good! They have a good beer selection with a fun menu board. The QR code menu was a pain to read so I had to go up to make a decision. There is also a kitchen with a pretty extensive selection, which is a pleasant surprise for a brewery. They also have some nice outdoor seating options, which seem to be good for distancing. Ordered the nachos which were delicious. Good flavor on the meat and excellent toppings. The best nachos are where you can't even really see the chips because they are just a vessel for everything else! Nachos were about $16 after tax and tip, reasonable for the volume of food. I first ventured to Platt Park Brewing to get a little work done. I've since made my way back with a group of my brew-loving girls for some post-brunch brews. ++ The space is wonderful! Tons of seating options and styles. Inside, outside, with a view of the Brewing equipment... you got it! Whether you're a party of one or a group of five they def have you covered. ++ The beertenders are quite friendly and more than willing to pour some small tastes to help you narrow down your perfect brew. +/- I opted for a flight during my first visit including the following: Madagascar Dream, Astronaut Amber, On Cloud Wine, Tropical Snow Dance, Blackberry Sour, and Dread Strip Island Lager. On Cloud Wine and the BlackBerry Sour were my favorites of my choices. The other brews were solid, but didn't really stand out to me. +/- They're moderately dog friendly. Let me explain, you cannot have your furry friend inside the brewery or on the outdoor patio. They can however be clipped to the fence that surrounds said patio. While I love the space and location; I find the brews to be just a bit underwhelming. I'm sure I'll make my way back to the surrounding neighborhood and plan pop back in to check out some of the brew offerings. **Noteworthy: They'll soon be offering up some eats in the taproom via convenient pass through window. It's been three years since last review, and although the place showed some improvement in that time, some things have really fallen apart. We live close by, and have come in occasionally, last night (Saturday June 5) was pretty rough. There were two kinds of music playing, and the bartender was playing rappy, hip-hop stuff that's totally off format for this kind of place. You don't go to a neighborhood brewery bar in the Platt Park area to get crunk gangster style. We stayed for the momentary convenience, but our group limited the beer and food purchases--and I didn't drink in response--all due to this abuse with the music. The owners have to know (or learn) that playlists that are congruent with the kind of place it is are profit/experience enhancers, and decidedly off-format playlists are profit killers. Either they can read literature on that, use common sense (it's not a hip-hop club, and shouldn't be), or the market will show them with lackluster sales. Beyond that, I shared a couple items that had their Buffalo sauce on them. Why is that sauce a strange fruity-tangy variety? Barely tastes like Buffalo sauce. Screws up everything that comes with that stuff. Why is the only stout a "golden stout"? Why no true stouts or porters? Why the dirty, grimy menus? We've given this place way too many shots. I tried this place last week and had the Turkey Advocado sandwich! It was delicious so I decided to bring a coworker with me this week and I couldn't have been more disappointed! Ordered the Arugula salad and the spicy chicken wings. I requested the wings to go but obviously something got confused because they brought our entire order in to go boxes. I was immediately put off and made it known but no one seemed to care and no offer was made to correct it by the cook or the waitress. When the cook walked past I asked could I have real silverware and his response almost seemed as though I was bothering him. Nevermind the fact that we ordered our for dine in and it all came in a to go bowls. It was completely flavorless and the chicken on mine and my friends salad was EXTREMELY dry! My chicken wings were somewhat soggy and completely lacked flavor. Overall it's a happening looking atmosphere and the IPA beer is good but the Man we perceived as the owner/ Manager seemed completely unobservant the waitress never checked on us once! We are literally in the line and taking a table of the outside tent, the lady who works here, told us that table was taken by the other group,"because they are before us" which is NOT true. They are behind us in the waiting line. And they do not apologize for there mistakes. And saying this is how it works here. Seriously, because we are Asian? Wish I could give NO star.
