    19 dollar bacon board.

the bacon was well, and so were the pretzel sticks. HOWEVER, you can Only buy and eat Their Wings At the Bar. this was very disappointed to us, as their wings are quite good. the Service was well, Dee was quite polite.

Bear Creek enjoyed a well regarded, albeit brief, tenure in Brewerton before closing after just 9 months. Now the restaurant is back with a similar menu, new location and a new owner at 5480 Bartel Road in a building that once housed a Burger King and most recently, an RV dealership. Michael Piraino, owner of the former Brewerton Diner located right down the road, now owns Bear Creek. The building's history is recognizable from the outside, but take a step inside and it bears little resemblance to its predecessors. The Adirondack motif of the original location has been carried over to the new spot, with snowshoes, a two-man saw and other rustic decor decorating the walls. Wife and I were looking for a new place to try for our usual Saturday lunch and decided on Bear Creek. We got there just a little after opening and were sat immediately. You can tell just from the shape of the building it was formerly a fast food place, but it's been given a nice makeover. Only about a dozen booths/tables along with a nice large bar in the back of the building There were only a couple other people in the restaurant at the time, and our server was the only one working both all the booths sat and the bar. She gave us our menus and told us that all apps were half priced at the moment. The wife chose pretzel sticks and poutine off the apps menu as her meal, while I went for the avocado egg burger, a patty topped with green chile aioli, shredded orange cheddar cheese, a fried egg and breaded and deep fried avocado. Our food took a decent amount of time to come out considering there weren't a lot of tables sat, but knowing restaurants are short staffed, we didn't make a big deal about the around 25 minute wait. Food was good. Their pretzel sticks are delicious and come with homemade cheese sauce, a sweet mustard and their maple dipping sauce. My wife said she enjoyed the poutine, but it wasn't "life changing" in her words. I enjoyed their fries, and while my burger was good, I did not taste the green chile aioli at all. Well seasoned and cooked patty, toasted brioche bun and the deep fried avocado were all very tasty though. Prices were more than fair especially with the half price apps, everything was only $25. Our server was great, very nice, and perfectly attentive especially considering she was running the entire front of the house alone. All in all, we felt the food was decent, but could use a little improvement. They definitely have the potential to have amazing food and we'd go back and try other stuff in the future.

Went here on a whim one day for a late lunch and was surprised to see how full the restaurant still was! One server was running the whole thing by herself and she was still very friendly and efficient. We got the pretzel sticks as an appetizer and the chicken sandwich to share, both were delicious and fresh. The chicken sandwich had an herb mayo that was perfectly seasoned and necessary for the sandwich!! Very cabin-like interior that was welcoming and the inside was clean, as well as the bathrooms.

Nothing special here. Messy, overpriced, improperly cooked burgers, indistinguishable poutine, and no vegetable side dishes. Nice decorations. Plan on $30 a person with no drinks.

Chocolate peanut butter pie for dessert.

We stopped here while traveling back from Montreal to Northwest PA as it was along the route back and we are so happy we found this place! The burgers were fantastic and they had a wide variety of beers, as a passenger on a long ride it was fun to kick back and relax with some good food and drink! The atmosphere is great too, love the rustic vibe. If you have room for dessert, have some peanut butter pie! It was amazing!

Friday is the burger special, it has beef and brisket and is juicy and delicious. The bun is always nicely toasted and it comes with cheese, lettuce, onion and tomatoes and fries. The fries are hot and crispy but there was a bit too much salt ( for me), so next time I'll remember to ask for no salt. My friend had no problem with the salt. My friend ordered the soup of the day which was Corn Chowder with Shrimp. It sounded good but I know if I have soup, I can't finish lunch. As soon as they brought out the soup and I had just a spoonful..... I had to get a bowl. Plenty of shrimp and corn , lots of flavor and it was smooth and light and delicious. I am not a fan of chowders that are thick as "pudding". We didn't have any drinks this time, but they have an amazing list of ciders, ales, beers on tap. Their own distilled spirits are excellent as well. Service is always good!

I stopped in on wing Wednesday, and boy, oh boy, was I in for a treat. On Wednesdays, their wings are .75 cents per wing, a minimum of 10 per order. So, in true foodie fashion, I decided to order some for "now and later." I chose their Val wings, Salt & Pepper, and Korean BBQ. We also ordered a Cheesesteak, I had been told by 2 people that this was the best cheesesteak in town, and I just had to try it for myself. Let's start with their wings. Are they a great value ? Yes! Were they amazing? Also, yes! These wings were simply great. Great size, great flavor profile, just great across the board! I can't imagine coming here and not ordering their wings. So good! You're probably thinking, well, what about the cheesesteak... well, I can assure you that the 2 people who suggested I try it did not steer me wrong. This cheesesteak was delicious!!! Full of tender steak, toppings, and loaded with cheese just how I love it. To make matters even better on Tuesdays, you can order a loaded cheesesteak & fries for only $8. The Old Ledge is truly a hidden gem. Great atmosphere, amazing bar staff, and a phenomenal cook!

I'll start with the good, which was the service, and the only saving grace that kept me from leaving. The waitresses were attentive and friendly. The wings were great, my fiancé also enjoyed his chicken sandwich. Now to the "less than ideal" section of my review: We waited over an hour for our food. My side salad came almost immediately, but then it was over an hour in between the salad and the rest of the food, which included wings which came out along with the appetizers. There were maybe only 6 different tables eating while we were there. My chicken riggies left a lot to be desired. I wish they had a description if they were planning on straying from the expected recipe; these rigatoni are stuffed, which is fine, but these were way overcooked and a bit slimy. There was also barely any chicken, which for $19 was a bit disappointing. It was loaded with jalapeños, which aren't really the best substitute for chicken. Now to the COVID-induced things which didn't lead to stars deducted, but are important to know... apparently you just walk all the way in, towards the back to be seated. We stood there at what we thought was the hostess desk for a solid 7 minutes before a customer at the bar told us to walk in. There are very few tables inside, so we had to sit on the deck outside which makes me wonder if that's why we were forgotten about. All in all, I'd probably consider coming back after the pandemic, and most likely in the summer during its peak. Hopefully they can streamline their processes now that the peak season is winded down

Her reply was that it's a busy Saturday and she's not telling them that today. Seriously we both work in food you are not a positive person. Who says that to a customer? She never smiled, there was at least 4 wait staff and a busser working the deck with a number of open tables. She also told us they had no plates for us to eat our appetizers and then found one said it was busy lunch except it was now 4:30pm. Really? Mind you we have both been managers in restaurants, I still work in one and had worked that day. We are always polite and friendly because of this Don't want to know how the food was don't ask and certainly don't tell the customer you aren't telling the cook. We even tried to laugh it off and she remained stoic. Is there something more going on there like a mean cook or are you just rude? The topper was her talking about us to other wait staff less than 10 feet away after that. The broiled seafood platter was ok but again needed seasoning which we didn't tell her since she clearly didn't care. After my first experience in a number of years a few weeks ago, this was a complete let down. There were plenty of open tables so it wasn't that busy as I have seen a wait for outdoor seating at most places by the water on a sunny warm day. One of the tall ships headed to Oswego was docked there as well which would draw people in from the water but not many there maybe she is part of the problem and the cook on Saturday June 21st. She wears a black shirt with red sides name is Keri. Nice view of the water and always clean we will wait a bit before returning.

The calm ambiance and muted, cinnamon-brown walls of the space's predecessor, Cafe at 407, which closed at the end of 2023, have been replaced with TVs in the dining area and bar, a wall-length mural and a little nook with a neon sign that reads "Say Cheese!" and Polaroids of satisfied customers pinned to the wall. The menu taps into childhood fast food nostalgia, with burgers, fries, onion rings and milkshakes -- plus beer, wine, cocktails and boozy sodas. With five burgers, two chicken sandwiches, two salads, a few shareable starters, Fly Bird chicken tenders, a Chicago-style glizzy and a fried fish sandwich served only on Fridays, the menu isn't long, but offers enough variation to appeal to most diners. The wife and I stopped in on a Saturday right at opening time. We were sat and given menus immediately. We decided to share a burger and fries and an order of tenders. We ordered the blue suede shoes - a burger topped with cheddar, bacon, lettuce, tomato, carmelized onions, pickles and house remoulade and an order of hot stuff buffalo tenders. Our food was brought relatively quickly and we enjoyed everything. Fries were fresh, crispy and seasoned, burger was cooker perfectly, the tenders were fresh, crispy, saucy and had just the slightest kick of heat to them. Our server was very friendly and helpful, prices were comparable to similar restaurants, and we has plenty of food to bring home. We'd definitely go again.
