They looked hungry and there was only one person serving tables and the bar. Yet there really was no other option My husband ordered a BLT and slaw. He enjoyed it. I tried the slaw and thought it was bland. I ordered wings with teriyaki sauce. One order equals 12 meaty wings. Undoubtedly the best I ever had. They were so crispy yet perfectly cooked inside. Food was excellent! Reuben sandwich was impressive and delish. Fresh corned beef, came with French fries that were delicious. My husband and I had a bowl of French onion sound which was different but in a good watch. Instead of bread, the soup had chucks of croutons covered in melted cheese. My husband had pizza and wings. Went there tonight (Tuesday) just wanted a quick bite and a drink with my wife. Wings were ok. We got our two drinks while we waited for the wings. Wings came, wanted another drink, never could get the attention of the bar tender. I think she owns the place. Obviously, she needs help. If you sat at the bar, you got service. I usually like this little place, but at times she just can't keep up, and it makes me not want to go back!! Sucks to got to a place and have to wait like that. Not inclined to go back any time soon. We were traveling thru the area and were hungry for lunch. Wow, excellent food! The building is old, so we were a little leery, but the food was excellent. They make their own dough, the pizza was superb. Hubby had the fried shrimp and said they were Fresh and delicious. The fries were also very good. Three of us stopped here for lunch and the food was very good! Unfortunately, our experience was marred by my being charged a 3.5% service fee, even though I paid CASH, which I did not notice until I got home (I took a picture of the receipt in the restaurant for my records). I called the restaurant and was promised that Courtney would get back to me, but evidently loss of a measly three customers was not important enough. The restaurant should not "assume" that all sales will be charged and automatically levy a 3.5% service fee. This is a nice little way to make a few extra bucks if people don't notice the fee on the check. read more

I ordered meatloaf dinners on a Monday a couple of weeks ago. To show you how popular this meal is I called at 3:30 for take out and got the last two meatloaf dinners so order early. We decided to try this place as we read good reviews. Well, the reviews must be outdated as the food was terrible. My husband ordered the Prime rib after asking the waitress if it was cooked fresh. She said it was. This wasn't true, One look at it when she put it on the table you could tell it had been reheated. It wasn't even warm! It should have been sent back. But he ate it. I ordered the broiled haddock sandwich. This was 1/4 the size any restaurant ha served. The taste not so great. My side of green beans were watered down to where there was no flavor. My cousin and his wife joined us. They ended up taking their dinner home as the place was so fly infested that they were driven out!! Our first and last visit! read more

Beware!!! They charge a 3% surcharge if you use a credit card. When my wife went to pay the bill she noticed the surcharge and asked what it was. The waitress in a rather snippy tone explained that this policy is stated on a sign on a wall! My wife said that she normally doesn`t look for small print notes randomly placed on a wall. She asked if the waitress could void the credit card transaction & that we would then pay cash. The waitress rolled her eyes & in an argumentive tone, stated this policy has been in effect for a year. She then brought us the credit slip and cash change. She then restated in a nasty tone with nasty facial expressions the credit card policy & that the policy has been in affect for a year. I stated to the waitress that we were not there to argue with her. After we left, we realized that she had a similar confrontation with another customer. We are from out of town and have never incurred such a charge. It's a shame because we visit Otisco Lake often and like the food at the Moondance. My suggestion is that this is a training issue. When a waitress takes a cc they should politely inform the customer what their credit card policy is & give the customer a choice to pay either cc or cash. Another alternative would be to state this policy on the menus. This would alleviate poor customer service. read more

Decided to stop on way home and glad I did. My step dad and I both ordered the blackened blue burger with fries and wow! the lady in the back can cook a great burger. The burgers were just right and hit the spot. Fries were cooked perfect. The afternoon crowd seemed to all be regulars. They were all very nice and service was great.
