I have recently purchase two guns from this company. They have up to this point have been very helpful. I just went there the other day for some help on one of the guns I purchased from them and boy they were very upset with helping me. I was very uncomfortable with this. I couldn't understand why their whole attitude had changed. They weren't busy at this time. The person that has always been helpful was not. The guy there is always put out when he is forced to help. After this I will not go back for anything. Also would recommend people to go some place other than this one. Zero stars service is now lousy! read more

Great customer service! We called to check if they had what we were looking for. They did! Cheryl confirmed with us she would hold it for us until we arrived. Coming from LA it would take us a few hours. When we arrived the place was full! We were welcomed and didn't have to wait much to be taken care of. Our paperwork was done relatively quick and our purchase was done and we were out of there! To put things in perspective. I am a 25 year old Mexican American United States marine veteran. So I've been on the market looking for a specific handgun and when I looked it up on the website of the brand name. They pointed me to BMS. I excitedly came to the store and was automatically greeted terribly by the older women working there. Very strong attitude and tone in her voice when speaking to me as if I offended her with my presence. I shook it off and greeted her with a "good afternoon ma'am". I then proceeded to ask her about the specific brand and model gun I wanted. She then Responded with aggression and attitude towards me telling me that someone came earlier asking for that same gun. Yelling at me that " it's not a California legal gun tell the company to take us off their website we don't sell that her" she then walked away from me as if I offended her. Before I left I asked one last question in regards to another brand of handguns that I may be able to look at. She responded with a "nothing to sell to someone like you". At this point I can honestly say I was a bit afraid because after all they sell guns here and she was armed. I automatically began to think this women is a racist and she may use any excuse to draw her weapon on me. I know it sounds exaggerated but in the moment this women tone sounded as if she hated me for no given reason and wanted me gone. Never going there again and I highly recommend if you're a person that is, for the lack of better words, not white do not come near this store. read more

So, another gun joint. This one is way out on the far east side of town. The workers (owners?) and polite and professional. the selection of firearms, both new as well as consignment, is somewhat limited. That shouldn't deter you from checking this joint out there. The employees and supporting products more than make up for any other shortcomings. I would def recommend this joint to friends and family. read more

Horrible customer service. Drove all the way out to this place after calling regarding shotgun shells. I was met by an employee who looked miserable to be at her job. No greeting, No "can I help you?"No knowledge on ammo. Acted like I was bothering her and was so rude while telling me I would have to wait until someone else came in. Very unhappy , rude , and nasty attitude. What a waste of my time and fuel. Called back after I drove off to discuss with owner....he was like "oh well" This place is horrible. Don't waste your time or money. I tried to shop local but local is lame at this place. If this lady worked for me I would have fired her on the spot. Even though I really want to buy some shells to go duck hunting and everyone is sold out of steel heavy shot I would rather pass on a hunt than give this dump my money. Called about ppt here handguns and one long gun. A woman answered, when I inquired about the ppt she hung up.i redialed and spoke to the woman about the ppt again she said it would be 35 dollars for the first hand gun 35 for the second and 35 for the long gun as she stated because it's a long gun? I am well versed in these transactions a I am a serious collector. I know ppt prices are regulated by the state. These people try to take advantage of people who are not in the know. I came too Bear Mountain Sports too get a gun transfer and I was told that both parties needed a California ID and then when we come back we would get everything transferred. I finally made it back today and from the start the lady had a very poor attitude. She was very rude about the whole situation. She had too go too the back too ask a few questions which is understandable, but she was talking shit about us (her customers) and the whole store can hear it. I have never been too a business that was so rude too their customers. I would NEVER go back too this place ever again. read more

I purchased my very first gun at bear mountain was extremely excited! Went to pick it up today and had the worst experience ever over a birth certificate. The woman whose name is Cheryl Klein was very disrespectful, she yelled obscenities harassed and threatened myself my husband and my 3 year old son. None of the other employees in the store at the time said anything to this woman and let it just gone on. As this was my first time ever purchasing a firearm this woman could have politely explained to me that my birth certificate would not work because there was a tear but in fact instead bullied and belittled me with statements like "you can't handle getting a new birth certificate" when I had explained to her I'm not sure when I'd be able to get a new one due to my work schedule so I asked her for a refund she then stood up out of her chair and started yelling and cussing and calling myself disrespectful and rude and a handful of other things as well as slamming her hands on counters and threatening to have us escorted out in handcuffs. We ask this woman several time to stop talking to us and we would handle business with the other employee working and receive our refund from him. I asked Cheryl and Martin both for the number to contact the owner they refused to give me that information Cheryl also refused to give me her name I had to look that up myself... Facebook can be a killer sometimes . The third man that came out of the back I asked him as to why no one was putting a stop to this woman's temper tantrum she then yelled at me and asked why I was speaking to her HUSBAND! He is not even an employee Just a gun smith at the store ‍... anyways my husband and I purchase firearms more than the average person mine would have been the third gun purchased there in 3 months.. they have forever lost a loyal customer. went to this shop the other day for the first time to buy some .22 rounds and I have to say it's have a nice shop. Great service and good conservative people. Not as much in stock compared to second amendment, but the kind employees and service makes up for that. Just now, my husband called in to inquire if BMS had any 9mm ammunition in stock and was told they were out. This is understandable, as we have been given similar answers from most everywhere else in town. My husband, at a loss for where to go next, offhandedly (and lightheartedly) asked if the clerk (a woman whose name she did not give) had any idea where he may be able to find 9mm ammo. He just thought she might have an idea, as many times when you call shops and they are out of something, they have a possible idea of where you may find some. Had she said no, it would have been completely understandable as it seems to be sold out everywhere. However, the clerk rather rudely told my husband, "Well now how am I supposed to know that? I obviously have not been calling around everywhere asking if they have 9mm ammo and it's not my job to do your legwork." So rude, so unnecessary, I could not believe that she spoke to him that way when he had just asked her an honest question. You would think that in these times especially, their business would care more about treating customers right. read more

Staff is helpful and willing to find something you are looking for. If they can find it, they will order it for you. Store has a pretty good selection of not only guns but other accessories as well. The location is kind of hard so see at first, but it is off of weedpatch highway on the west side. read more
