I have spent thousand at this location purchasing guns & ammo in the past several years. I will never go back after my resent experience. I went in to purchase ammo, I was the only one at the counter. I stood at the ammo counter for quite a while, the employee that was there pretty much ignored me until got his attention and told him what I wanted, Then he got an attitude when asking for my ID for back ground ck, he acted like I wasn't qualified for the purchase with an attitude. This employee was total jerk, He came from the behind the counter and said get out of my space, WTF is that about anyway? Never going back there period! read more

And then he proceeds to misspell my last name and because of that I get my background check denied and he still makes me pay for the background check. Great selection of all things "outdoor". Fishing. Guns. Archery. Clothing and much much more. They have a shooting range as well. The Training Center within the store is great. You can take training classes from basic education on guns to rifle, shotgun classes and Advanced Training. CCW certification classes are here too. The instructor, Robert DaLessio is amazing. Never been to a turners store before and was excited to visit on 11/29 after seeing so many posts about this company so expectations were high. Walk in and it's extremely underwhelming with little variety in the gun department. The most upsetting and disturbing part was overhearing a group of guys and the gun sales man joke about how big of holes certain weapons would make in a person's chest. This went on quite some time with both parties contributing to the conversation. It went even so far as to one of them saying "it would be so easy to push the body down an embankment". I've never been to a gun store and heard of customers let alone EMPLOYEES makes such unprofessional jokes. Red flag on both sides. Other gun stores would not condone behavior like this, let alone sell firearms to individuals making these statements. read more

This is a weapons dealer that doesn't standby Second amendment rights. I have purchased two weapons in this somewhat recent past. When I attempted to purchase a weapon at this location, the department of justice extended my waiting period to 30 days and then never sent an approval. By law, I can then be sold the weapon which Turner refused to do. I was told that I could send in a new DOJ request but then if it came back without an answer again with 30 days, I would forfeit 30% of my purchase price. Sounds like a scam to me. They had every right to sell me the weapon at that point but refused to do so abridging my second amendment rights. So a gun dealer that doesn't back the second amendment is nothing but a company that doesn't want your business and doesn't back the constitution. Would never go back there read more

I hope the owner of this store sees this post I have been doing research on some long range rifles and I think that I know the one I am going to get and I would have given my money to your store for that rifle but! This is what happened on 11/7/25 about 11:45 I came in to talk to someone about a that rifle I didn't know to take a number or did I see a place to take a number from there was a man in front of the number tape spool but I didn't know to see the SERVING NUMBER SIGN on the wall so I was confused but I figured with so many people working there someone would say hello or be right with you or something but no! Nobody said shit to me and so I left. I encourage you as an owner to check your cameras. You will see a gentleman entering to your store at like I said 11:45 in the morning looking around frantically for some fucking number machine and with no help anywhere to be found, I walked the fuck out. Some sh** you just can't make up folks. Came in with my fiance to purchase a new EDC knife, walked in and went straight to the counter, picked and left. I didn't do much research before but in my time in the military I have brand preferences and the missing screw went unnoticed initially. I got home to check out some YouTube videos about the Magnacut steel and messaged a few of my buddies about the piece. I noticed a screw missing in one pic, went back to YouTube and confirmed I was sold an incomplete knife. Went in next day- Daniel: "well call them and the warranty is in the box" There was nothing but my receipt in the box from purchase. No screws, no manual and no warranty card. No big deal it's a knife, I don't need instructions. I did need the warranty card though which (in front of me) nearly every Zero Tolerance box was opened, only one had the warranty card. So none have cards. Next came Daniel trying to help again but he managed to just fumble over his words and went to get a manager. The manager didn't look at me once and said something along the lines of "cosmetics" which to me made it sound like I was just getting an expensive knife to just get it... I recently got off active duty and now contract. Cosmetics? No... and regardless I think it should be my damn decision if I want that screw in my 250$ knife. Cosmetics- that's for your LARPing community (which is funny because the only guy who I spoke to there who was also "in" got out as a Chief and his rate was E2.... What?!) Finally someone came around and told me they fixed it and I was over the experience. The lil ponytailed salesperson around the guns tried to talk down to me for a second but when I explained everything he got real clicky clicky on that computer. Be aware of your customer base. There are so many things that I love about this store! I was in the area due to work and I knew I had to check this place out due to the amount of reviews on yelp. I went there shortly after work near 3pm and saw that they had a line out the door due to covid19. I love that they take social distancing seriously and let people lined up 6 ft apart. Once I was inside, it felt like I was a kid at a candy store. They sell anything from archery, guns, accessories, to safes to store all your needs. I saw they put a limit on the amount of ammo you can buy so people can't horde everything. What I like too is the amount of choices you have to build, service and buy firearms. They even have an indoor range too! It is members only so you have to buy a membership to shoot. It is a great value if you lived there, but since I was visiting it wasn't worth it to drop a minimum of $50 to begin. They had a decent amount of selection to try and they offer classes to new shooters to choose what you'd like to buy. Customer service is just as amazing as their selection. Their staff was knowledgable on the topics I needed help on and was quick to help me find what I needed or give recommendation on what would be better. I forget the person who helped me but he was a younger male with a chirpy attitude. He really did his best to find everything that I needed. The only con that I found is that not everyone was wearing a mask properly, they nailed everything down from amazing customer service, great prices and a indoor shooting range. But I can't give a full 5 star rating due to the health concerns of not having a mask on all the employees. tl:dr One of the best stores for 2A goods in Southern California, it would be hard pressed to find anything close to their selection and prices. read more

Wow. What a change from 2nd Amendment staff. My review is based off of one experience where we did not make a purchase. We were greeted at the front and as we walked to the back of the store, every employee we encountered at least acknowledged us. One of the managers was off that day but for some reason was in the store and he educated us on their membership options. We appreciated that he took the time to do that! Fun shop BUT the only complaint would be the staff. Most are helpful but there are a few that need training in friendly customer service. Value is the same as the other Turners but I just won't be back to the Mohawk location unless it's to use the range. Please please please train the employees on customer service. Purchased a Remington 700 for elk season. After 10 days DOJ came back with a hold for up to 30 days, turners said this wasn't unusual. After 40: DOJ says my application is undetermined and the dealer still has the option to sell the firearm. I'm ex military, not even a traffic ticket in 30 years. Turners says corporate says no sale even though DOJ says they can. Now I'm borrowing a rifle to go on a hunt I paid $3500 for. Screw you Turner's, I'll never be back. read more

Twice I've been at this gun store and twice while trying to get someone to wait on me at the gun counter I was totally Ignored. When a female customer walked into the area she was immediately attended to. The first time I let it slide thinking the counter person was having a bad day. The 2nd time a different counter person ignored me as well. I had several thousand dollars that day to spend but they didn't care about that. The only thing I can think about why I was ignored is because of my race. I don't look like a thug and I was dressed Casual. I also have a law enforcement background. I WAS SADDENED AND VERY DISAPPOINTED HOW I WAS TREATED. NOW, MY WIFE HAD NO ISSUES WHEN SHE WENT TO THIS STORY. SHE was waited on almost immediately. Okay, I came in here to shoot my new .22 rifle the other day because it was convenient. I have to say that they have improved a lot. I like the inventory they had in stock. Obama prices still in effect but somethings were relatively cheap. I'm glad they at least had good .22 lr in stock for the range(not for sale other wise). The prices for the ammo was pretty good for these times we're in. under $9 for 100 cci .22 lr mini mags. I got friendly help quickly(it was a slow week day morning). I didn't have a membership here any more so I got the silver. no big perks but it's $20 and every time you shoot it's $10 plus ammo and targets. total shooting cost was $33, not bad. I was happy to see they increased the ventilation and you get a pretty good breeze going in there now. I would even recommend bringing a sweater as it was chilly. No smoke buildup at all and I think you'd have a tough time making it smokey if you tried. they have some interesting handguns to rent for the range including a few suppressed ones(which i'd like to try). my new GSG 522 worked flawlessly btw. they have a couple used ones in stock, no extra mags though... if anyone knows some open land thats cool to shoot on I'd love the tip as I'd really like to shoot in the free open air. Great selection of firearms so you can decide what feels like. They don't take appointments over the phone, first come first serve. Not enough employees to help everyone. Went to Turner's today, for the second time, I was hoping this visit would be a better experience than my previous visit. Unfortunately that was not the case. In my opinion, everyone I came in contact with (on both occasions) could use a serious crash course in Customer Service 101. Honestly, It is not necessary to be condescending to ANYONE for ANY reason. It would also help if you knew your products and could answer a few questions about items you are selling. One of the worst experiences I have ever had there wish I didn't renew my membership with this place I had a very help guy in the beginning then this heavy set gentleman came along and was push and rude and disrespectful and discussing I never yell or cussed at him even though he deserved it I kept my cool and try to enjoy the range even though I was to to hurry up so he can clean up and after I left all he did was turn off the lights and when to the back I don't know why he is dealing with customers if he hates his jobs or is it just a power trip he speak to people like there animals and less than humans if I could get a refund for my membership I would he is the type of person that makes the world a difficult place to live in read more

We walked in to find a firearm for protection, after being encouraged by a friend who frequents this location. The first two employees who we saw also saw us, though neither offered to help or even acknowledged we were there. Perhaps they were busy, I thought. Enter Chris, an employee who noticed us a bit out of sorts. He asked if we would wait a moment and let us know he could help and apologized for being so busy. We had no problem waiting for him to finish up with the client he was with. When Chris was available we explained what we were hoping to do and he encouraged we schedule hand gun safety courses to begin as we have had little experience whatsoever. He stated that when we do that we will be able to try a bunch of different handguns and narrow down our decisions. The courses were great. Men and women take separate courses. We enjoyed the instructors and learned a bunch about what we should and shouldn't do. (We will take a couple other courses in the near future; CCW, advanced hand gun, etc). We returned to see Chris again after the courses were completed. He helped us take a a few of our top choices of hand guns into the range. By the end of the hour we had a good idea of what we wanted. My wife and I each purchased a hand gun that day with Chris. He explained the waiting period and we returned to pick the guns up when we planned. Chris was busy when we returned, which seems to be a common thread. But he acknowledged us swiftly and let us know he'd be with us when he broke free, and he was. We have returned almost every week on our one day off to practice and use their range. The employees are friendly and Chris answers our questions each time. We've purchased another hand gun for my wife and are once again waiting the 10 days as I type this. I must say that initially coming into a store like this is a bit overwhelming and can be intimidating. I prefer to not appear so lost or out of place. It was great meeting Chris and being able to ask him any questions and feel that he has our best interests in mind. We will continue to make all our purchases through him, no matter how long it takes to have his attention. Absolutely the worst shop in town. I wouldn't walk back in for ANYTHING.. Go to Valley or Bear Mountain and save yourself a headache. The staff is a shitshow. No customer care at all. Worried about the the $ over anything. And it shows..from overpriced guns, ammo and accessories... to ridiculous fees and restocking fees and plenty of reasons to not give you cash. Always try to gift card anything you're not satisfied with. Have to talk shit and literally tell them to cut you a check. Do yourself a favor and find a better store. read more

Update from managements response- I pay in cash and unless you have the first/only store I have ever heard of that allows returns on ammunition I'm not sure of the logic behind the "database". Your staff refused the sale because I did not want my information to be entered. At this point I will also be contacting Hornady directly to discuss my interaction at this store.
