Absolutely adorable coffee shop in Terre Haute! Had all the vibes of a log cabin inside and I loved it. The food and beverage options are endless. I asked what flavors they had for lattes and I was handed a paper with the most amount of flavors ever! It was honestly amazing. So many coffee shops only have their seasonal options with the classic but this place had so many to mix and match. I loved it!! Now the food, I tried the breakfast quesadilla (cheese and eggs) and it was delicious. They also had other hot breakfast options in addition to their baked items. They had a lot of space inside and even a little patio. Did I mention they have a drive thru?! I wish this place wasn't so far from where I live because I would 100% be a regular here. Highly recommend!!

This was a great stop for coffee! I ordered a dirty chai latte and it was pretty good! I wish I would've gotten a specialty drink as they looked really different and tasty. We came to study for a while, but it seemed more of a meeting spot to talk rather than studying. It's very kid friendly & cute on the inside!

The best frozen hot chocolate anywhere! Cute shop, lots of options-however I always get the same thing!! Great addition to the community.

Cute little coffee shop. Had a ton of flavor options. Staff was friendly. Will try the 40 below Joe next time! Caramel/coconut latte for the win.

Wanted to try out something different. Had a black coffee and a great sandwich. Good vibe, and good spaces to choose from. Super kid friendly for all you moms looking for a place to have a girl hang while all your kids are with you! Good coffee, good food. Great spot to hang on the North side of the city!

Drinks were good, but service was not. The girl taking the order was very disrespectful and standoffish.

The market is very small but has a decent range of food options including burgers, pizzas, and ramen. When we arrived, someone was giving announcements for future events at the Market. To me, this didn't seem like a big deal, but the bar vendor kept giving us dirty looks for talking. And they wouldn't take our order until the woman was done. I don't know if they had ever been in a market before, but they are loud, hectic, and made for the convenience of everyone being able to get what they want quickly and meet up in the same space to enjoy. I am not required to participate in your events, I am here for food. The ramen was good but they made ordering too complicated and the menu is more of a fusion than authentic ramen. I had the shrimp and steak and the steak was burnt. My husband got a calzone and it was okay, it really could have been improved with some seasoning on the crust. You have to order from the vendors individually and then also check out again at a different vendor to get basic soft drinks - which were $3.50 each... I really appreciate what they are doing here, and I hope they continue to improve and work out the kinks.

The restaurant smells of bread and soup as soon as you walk in. This is one of those places that you know is actually handmade as soon as it gets put down in front of you. We all ordered half soup/half sandwich meal. But the portions were huge, honestly. We could have shared. I got the lemon pepper chicken sandwich with chicken rice soup, both were actually incredible. My companions got the Reuben and pasta salad, and the sweet potato soup with turkey Reuben. Everything was great. The sweet potato soup is just that, very sweet, molasses flavor - might not be for everyone. The woman that took our order was very kind She shared some knowledge of their breads with us and even gave us a free load of sourdough to take home. They have many different types of breads, rolls, pastries etc available at the counter for pickup, anytime. Many, if not most, of the menu is turkey. We had one person that didn't eat turkey and specifically ordered the Reuben without turkey. The kitchen ran out of pastrami and put turkey on his sandwich. When she told him about the change, and he mentioned not liking turkey, she said well it's actually chicken anyhow. This was really confusing. He took it off and enjoyed the sandwich, but they should be cautious of changing ingredients without asking because of allergies and preferences. The restaurant is very small, with a few tables for dine in. There is no restroom.

After eating here, I realized that I had completely underestimated this particular cuisine. The title of this restaurant may be alarming at first, but believe me, "oy vey" will be the last thing you say after tasting these delicious dishes. My family and I got two Reubens, Chicken and Rice soup, Borscht soup, Chicken Shawarma, South African Sweet Potato stew, baklava, and latkes all for about 59 bucks. And pretty much everything was homemade. Because of the great quality and quantity of all these items, I ended up stuffed and satisfied. We start off with their Reuben. I had heard much about this dish from other reviews, and it definitely did not disappoint. The corned beef was well-seasoned, and the sauerkraut was tangy and fresh. The Chicken and Rice soup was good, but could have used a little bit more seasoning. This is compared to the other items, though, so the expectation might have been set too high for this soup. Unlike the Chicken and Rice soup, the Borscht soup was firing up my taste buds with its deep tangy flavor. This dish is vegan, but Oy Vey definitely didn't compromise the flavor due to that classification. And along with the soup came a few pieces of a homemade flatbread that was soft and delicious as well. The Chicken Shawarma was pretty good. Again, the flavor was just a little lacking when compared to some of the other dishes. None of this is enough to take away from my 5-star rating, though. These are just little things that I think could be improved upon. I had the South African sweet potato stew as a side to my Reuben, and wow, was it good. The sweet potato blended perfectly with the mix of spices. This may have been the most flavorful stew I have ever eaten. Now, before I talk about this baklava, I ask you to erase anything you seemingly already know about Greek honey baklava from your mind, because that's not what this is. This baklava was entirely different, and even more scrumptious, in my opinion. Instead of your classic honey topping, this baklava was smothered in a cinnamon sauce. Like I said, a completely different experience, but one that was great in its own way. Last, but definitely not least, we have the latkes. These small, round potato pancakes were also different from the latkes I knew. And again, they were just as good, if not better. They sort of reminded me of fried mashed potatoes. There was also a side of applesauce that came with the order for dipping. The applesauce was also delicious. All in all, our experience at Oy Vey was delectable and filling. Though improvements could be made on some select items, Oy Vey really brings the flavor! So the next time you're in or around Terra Haute, stop by. Your taste buds will be very glad you did!

The building itself is over a 100 years old and is on the National Register of Historic Places, this helps its cool vibe. We came in at 12:30 on a December Thursday, it was absolutely packed, what appeared to be multiple team/holiday gatherings. We were told a 20 minute wait, but we eventually were able to find a seat at the bar in less time. With as busy as it was, I was concerned food coming out may be impacted, but it came out quick. Allie was our bar tender, she was very friendly and attentive, shout out to her. First I started with a local beer, wango tango. I would call it a hazy pale ale. It was perfect for me. Had grilled shishito peppers. It was my first time to ever eat one, I loved them. I enjoyed them better without the sauce, but the wasabi Mayo did provide a nice kick. I ate the fried wontons with the sauce. We shared the crab Rangoon flatbread. It did not disappoint, and had a healthy serving size. I would get it again and again! Then I went with a comfort food, fried bologna sandwich. It came with a side, but the sandwhich alone was enough. I added a close pic of the sandwich, it had two thick cut pieces of meat. Impressive. It came with melted cheese, that was a twist for me, but I wanted to try it the way it was on the menu first. I eventually added ketchup, lol. We now have a new place to stop as we're passing by on 70. If I lived closer, i definitely would be a regular!!!
