If you have the time to dedicate to searching the racks - this is your place. Items are somewhat organized by shirts, or dresses but it's really up to you to go through and find those hidden gems. Items are in all ranges of sizes but not organized well together so if you are patient and don't mid the time - you can get some great finds and these finds most time are very reasonably priced. The store often has sales - or last chance racks with items highly discounted. Staff is nice but mostly there for check out - they wont help you find anything specific only because there is so much inventory there. Cute thrift store in Burbank that carries a lot of interesting items. Apparently most of their clothes are pulled by stylists for Hollywood films/TV productions -- so you'll see a lot of the same tops in multiple sizes. When I went, they were doing 75% off the whole store, which was really great. I also love that they have DRESSING ROOMS - I feel like thrift shops just don't have them anymore which makes thrifting challenging. Most of the shirts have interesting patterns, cuts, or something eye catching about it which is great. The old man working at the dressing rooms was very cute. I didn't love that they mostly carry smaller sizes - most of the tops I liked were just a size too small for me. They have a lot of designer items. Don't expect this to be your run of the mill thrift store. Actually a lot of their clothes are slightly pricier than most thrift shops - but the quality or brand makes up for it. Street parking only. That said the way they tag their sales is ridiculous big sign 75% off little teeny except for Designer stamps of different colors which are always the things that you really want Today was the kicker big sign that said summer sale 75% off and Disclaimers like you'd find on a pharmaceutical bottle except: shorts, T-shirts bathing suits, spaghetti strap tops, anything that could be worn in the summer. This is my favorite clothing store. All the clothes are second hand from tv shows and movies. A lot of the clothes have tags or have only been worn once or twice. There are a ton of my favorite brands in the store like Zara, H&M, uniqlo, ralph lauren, and more. You do need to inspect the clothes thoroughly for any holes or blemishes. But you can find some amazing deals. The key is to buy when they have 75% off everything promotions. That's when all the resellers will come and try to scoop up all the best clothes. I'm not a thrifter or a vintage shopper, but I am a movie nerd so when I came across this place, I wanted to see what was there. I could use a couple of suits and thought maybe this place was a possibility. I started looking through my sizes, thinking I'd set a budget of $100. If I walked out with nothing, fine. I came across a navy suit that looked nice. Checked out the label - Brooks Brothers?! How much would that be - checked out the price - $125?? For a BB?? Excitedly kept it and kept looking. Found SUPER sharp dark gray pindot suit. Didnt recognize the maker, price tag was $400. It was awesome but too much. Really happy with my find, went to the counter. $25 over budget but value is awesome. Helpful cashier rang me up. "$34", he tells me. WHAT?? Yeah all suits are 75% off , he tells me. I ran back and grabbed the second suit! Ok $50 over my budget but two awesome suits! Found out the unknown label is a bespoke tailor out of Brooklyn whose pricing is about equal to Brooks Brothers - and it was screen worn by Delroy Lindo (I'm guessing that is why the pricing difference). Outstanding experience and I'll be back on the hunt for more suits and a tux. At those prices? Can't lose. read more

I come to this store any time I'm near the area. And bring anyone visiting from out of town! Because it's just a fun place. However, on my last visit I was instantly greeted with rudeness from a woman who seemed in charge that day. I mean the moment I stepped inside. But I brushed it off as a misunderstanding and went about shopping. I had two young children with me. Who were being children - slightly louder than a normal person, asking me to buy them everything. But other than that, well behaved. As I shopped I made sure they weren't causing mayhem - stopped them when they tried to play on the stairs, etc. But it was CLEAR we were unwelcome. And I received more rudeness from the woman. I don't know if she's always persnickety and we were today's target. Or if she really can't stand that two children were in the store for 30 mins. Not as interesting as you may think. The pieces are good for some basics, but the selection is smaller if you're not looking for items under ~$90 since a lot of clothes are nice brands but not worth the price. The store is also pretty old and a bit musty but not the end of the world! Also my experience with the staff was less than perfect. I waited for a while at the dressing room entrance, and once the staff member came over, they told me I was just a second too late to use the dressing rooms (they close 15mins before end of day). Cool thrift / consignment / vintage store. Tons of Hollywood history! Like a lot of other reviewers said, it's cool to see the tags on the clothes and try to guess what shows they come from. Street parking is easy and the store is quite large. I arrived close to closing so I didn't have too much time to browse. The clothes aren't as cheap as a typical thrift store, but most of the clothes are of a higher quality. For women, the sizes tend to run small (it is Hollywood hand me downs after all) so it may be harder to find clothes in different sizes. read more

I used to like this place. It's got a good selection of clothes. I've gotten several costume elements here over the years. It's big. It's interesting to know that a suit jacket came from an extra on CSI Miami or whatever. It's a lot of background wardrobe (a lot of suits), so there aren't usually a ton of super unique items, but sometimes you get lucky. It's a fun concept, and good quality stuff that's barely used, so you're not going to find a ton of deals. I was really soured on the place when Halloween shopping this year. We had an armful of stuff for our costumes. Before we checked out, I asked the old dude at the counter for the restroom key. It's A Wrap is one of those you uniquely Southern California businesses. The inventory this shop offers are all items from the movie and TV sets. Some of the wardrobe here was actually worn by name actors in their various roles throughout the industry. What this store offers is a ton of nice clothing in all shapes and sizes. You can get a lot of truly unique items but mostly what they have is very normal clothing for reasonable prices. In many cases, they actually list the production that the clothing was a part of. Thus, you can get a true look into what the wardrobe departments are purchasing for specific characters in specific roles in specific productions. Overall, though this place is not cheap, what you get is high-end quality clothing for competitive prices. I want to love it here but the pieces they write "designer" on are such a joke. For example a basic 70s Leslie Fay dress marked for $100 with "designer" stamped on it. A Coldwater Creek blazer marked for $75 with "designer" stamped on it. Random no label vintage dresses marked for $150 with "Designer" stamped on it. Virtually everything on the vintage rack that was basic vintage worth about $15, marked for $100 or up, and stamped "Designer" therefore excluded from their summer sale making virtually no vintage on sale and exceedingly overpriced. This place does have some cute pieces (priced in the triple digits of course) and most items that were under that price range were from fast fashion brands like fashion nova, shein, and forever 21. Went to pay and the man told me that the card reader wasn't working so it was cash only, I had $15 in cash which he would not take since the total was $15 and some cents (which is fine I understand taxes), but then followed up about 10 mins later when I was leaving that the second card reader was working (I saw him ring someone up on it right before I tried to check out). They also use a paper log to track inventory so paying and getting a receipt takes a while so the line will build up even if the store is vastly empty. read more

Drove here from LA to check out this interesting concept. Unfortunately it does not deliver. The store is very disorganized and smells of very old clothing. The tags don't have clear labels of which shows it wss from etc, and that doesn't help the marketing and sales for them. The clothes look pretty ordinary and unimpressive honestly and the prices aren't very appealing. Great concept, poor execution. read more

Whatever wardrobe that the studio didn't want anymore from a discontinued or canceled tv show, or an old movie, you might find them here, might not be your size, but always on the look out, I only came in once as I was looking for some tuxedo maybe for a period piece that I was booked or could be a scene that required me to dress in that attire, unfortunately I couldn't find any, main reason was they just had a big sales, and yes they always have deals every weeks and every months, so I asked to have my phone number put down at the front desk, still I was told it was not a guarantee, anyway I haven't heard back from them since, but I had moved on to a different project which no longer related to my original searching. read more

I walked in here, hoping to see some real garments from real movie studios, but I was absolutely disappointed. All there was were racks and racks of garments, footwear from Old Navy, Goodfellows, Gap, Banana Republic etc and low-end brands. The racks on the side walk were fairly priced, but in weird sizes e.g. 48 waist and 28 linseam lenght, 28 waist/34 inseam...you need to be grossly and physically abnormal to fit into those sizes. The garments and shoes were dirty contrary to a posted sign which said the clothing were from movie studios and cleaned before sale. Also, there was a sign saying the pieces are identified from which movie set they came from....good luck with that. I did not see a single write-up on anything. To be fair, I did see a full mens suit (jacket & pants) from Hugo Boss, but there was no price tag. Some of the ladies gown and dresses were priced over $600. There also isn't a consistent category of items so you really have to spend time to find something you want/like. They have really cool designer items but even at their discounted price, it's not worth the item at the level of wear. Regardless, you can find some great gems when you take the time. Nice to see that "It's a Wrap" is opened again! As of this weekend! I've been to this store a few times because it's one of a kind place, the type of shop you can find only in LA. And we need places like this around, original, cool, unique. It makes LA, well... LA. Many friends recommended it to me, they got great finds in here. The place is fun to explore no matter what, it's like a miniature museum since they get their merchandise from studios lots- wardrobe items that costume departments don't want anymore after a production is wrapped! Besides what they have on racks for sale, there are cool items from various movies and shows on display! Prices are a tad on the higher side. Otherwise, the place is big, fun to browse since you never know what you'll stumble upon! Parking is easy, there's a lot of street parking. They sell a lot of crap for high prices. They won't let customers use the rest room. Don't bother, most of what they sell is garbage.

NEW MANAGEMENT HAS RUINED IT. This used to be my favorite store. They've hired a new manager lady that seems intent on threatening and chasing off customers. One problem is the dressing rooms. She snaps at customers that they can only bring in 8 items at a time. This is completely impractical, especially during a sale when everyone is grabbing lots of clothes. If you have more than 8 you are supposed to put back on your regular clothes, exit the dressing room and get BACK IN LINE for another dressing room to open. Even if there is no one waiting or if you already waited 30 mins for your turn in the dressing room. THIS STRATEGY JUST COSTS EVERYONE MORE TIME THAN IF YOU JUST LET PEOPLE TRY ON THE CLOTHES THEY ARE TRYING TO BUY AND BE DONE WITH IT. Manager Lady has no shame pounding on the dressing room door and yelling at customers like she wants to fight them. You also are suddenly not allowed to bring your bag or basket of clothes into the dressing room with you. So good luck with items not being taken by other customers. People shopped here because it was a treat, something fun, yes a little dirty, but quirky and charming. It has turned into such stressful hassle of trying not to upset the high-school-hallway-bully manager that all the joy has been sucked out of this place. Why stay loyal to a store that hates you? ***(Dis)Honorable Mention for the exorbitant prices that used to be a deal, confusing sales that (secretly) never include the item you want and lack of new merch on the sales floor because they're not marking anything down frequently and the prices are much too high.**** It's much easier (and cheaper) to keep the customers you have than to try to gain new ones. read more

The concept of "It's A Wrap" is far better than the actual execution of it. The idea of being able to shop for things from t.v. and film productions *while in "Los Angeles"* is something that would certainly speak to the tourist crowds coming into the area to attend the Burbank studio tours and tapings. In reality, though, this place was a hot fucking mess, and not in the charming way where the chaos ultimately ends up being worth it. My biggest annoyance of this place is that the vast majority of the pieces didn't appear to be labeled, or not labeled in a way that made it clear where the pieces were coming from. And that seems like it would be the point of the store --- finding something and being able to tell people (or yourself) that this piece of clothing was used at this studio or (more ideally) in this show/movie. I get that the labeling process is a huge, probably very annoying undertaking for the staff, but again...having at least a vague idea of where these pieces are from seems like the whole point? Lack of labeling aside, everything felt very cluttered and disorganized and almost dirty. That kind of atmosphere can work if you're finding good stuff, but I just wasn't seeing much of quality aside from a few pieces here and there. read more

Uh-oh. Cue the complainer in me! This store is a GREAT concept; highly original. To actually be able to purchase screen-used items from some of your favorite TV shows; movies; sitcoms; and more!? What's not to love!? I first heard of this place on a YouTube video from a popular channel I'm subscribed to. I heard they were having a 75% off Memorial Day sale; & rushed in early the next day before the crowds could commence. I was not thrilled though ! Most of the stuff in stock downstairs was from C; or D; or cancelled/failed productions.. bleh.. it's a secondhand store in LA.. hit or miss right? The shelves were not organized and nearly all the descriptions were either in the wrong place, or the floor. I referenced an online chart to see which show supposedly the piece I was looking at was taken from. No big deal. I ventured up into the top rooms via a staircase and now these were the "high end" items.. let me tell you. Nothing from A-List shows either though! I think a lot of semi-corporate/business attire. The shoe section on both floors however was decent; however I left unimpressed and ventured back downstairs. The staff was attentive ; the store was very clean & everyone was wearing masks. The fitting rooms were surprisingly open as well! This place had a lot of classic memorabilia similar to museum exhibits; everything from Bruce Willis outfits to the Flinstones it seems; that was worth the trip by itself. However; the one bad bad marketing concern has to be the prices. With 75% off the entire store; the prices were Fair. On a regular day; lookout! Let me just say that these high-end pieces (& even casual items for that matter,) are out-of-style or need tailoring and cleaning. No point in spending hundreds of dollars to obtain an outdated version of a high-end designer fabric that needs an additional $50-100+ of professional servicing. That's just my opinion - correct me if I'm wrong. Overall I would go here again for sure if they had items in stock from a show I'm really interested in; or I hit the lottery!
