I was undecided between FCI and a friend's family member's company. Matt preserved. Matt worked with me to find a flooring that was in stock. My first choice is back ordered. I recently bought house and wanted floors done before I moved. He and his crew worked very hard, and came back on the weekend to finish due to power outage of several days, so the floors would be done for Monday move. The old saying of you get what you pay for...FCI was more expensive, but in the end it was TOTALLY worth it. The customer service alone was worth the extra money! Matt went out of his way to help me move a few heavy boxes the movers put in front of sink! The roofer, or cleaner put the "safety/anti burglar " dowel in sliding door wrong, and it was jammed. Matt helped me get it unstuck. True customer service! I 100% recommend FCI! Thanks Matt and crew. Job well done!

It was great then and has stood the test of time. Fast forward to the modern era. One of the file cabinets was inhabited by a ghost and would randomly slide open. White Rabbit sent a tech (carpenter) out, remounted the cabinet and successfully exorcised our ghost. And the kicker, no charge, still under warranty! Thank you W.R.

Or do email (so you have a paper trail). Any contractor that doesn't want to do business in writing is sketchy, and their refusal to flex on that makes them not recommended. Once again though - if you like talking on the phone, maybe they're good. Make sure you're fully satisfied with what you get, because without stuff in writing, you'll find it difficult to make a case should you need to sue them.

I took off the caps for him on the railing deck which needed to be stained as well and he never touched them up like he said he did. I had to take the shudders off the house for him because he didn't even tho he pressure washed that area without removing them first. When you start a job you prep everything first so when the time comes you can work right in through. He had to go back and clean that area where shutters were and stain it. Just a poor job.

I'd previously had another contractor come in and do a very messy epoxy pour over my counters (loaded with drips, runs, uneven surfaces, uncured epoxy, chips, epoxy on the walls/appliances/floor, etc). It was a disaster, to say the least. John and Andrea were the ONLY PEOPLE WILLING to tackle the mess I was left with without breaking the bank, and not only did he spend a great deal of time and energy resurfacing my counters but he even cleaned up as much of the epoxy mess as was feasible and added caulking to finish things off. John was always INCREDIBLY KIND AND WORKED VERY HARD TO TURN MY KITCHEN PROJECT AROUND. He went very far out of his way to right the wrongs of the contractor who came before him.
