If it's something he can't handle fixing then he will ignore you. This is the attitude of a back yard plumber not a professional. He had other jobs already scheduled but was able to come by on Sunday afternoon. (I had shut off everything I could think of so the leak had stopped. Was afraid it was the toilet by the kitchen.) He was able to arrive an hour earlier than he expected which was great. Long store short... he was able to diagnose the actual problem (wasn't the toilet) and the issue was resolved. Very professional, very knowledgeable, very personable. Nice guy and the cost was actually less than I expected for an emergency weekend plumbing call. Then we were not able to get them to respond to voice mail, email or texts so we finally had to drive over to the show room to get service. Now the HVAC system is not working at all and again Hammond's does not respond to calls during working hours. Their emergency number is 423-967-2513. Try calling that number and see what happens. Since our unit is still under warranty we had to get other authorized dealers in our area from the manufacturer.

I called them over a year…read moreago to install a heating and air system to get a second quote, they had raised the price $1000 dollars from my first estimate, but I decided to risk it because my son had a gas furnace installed and seemed to be having no problems. They came to install the system and from the beginning they screwed up everything they touched. They installed the feet on outside unit in no order at all, put disconnect box on wall with sheetrock fasteners which pulled out first pull, fixed that myself. So when they finished I went up in attic to inspect work, noticed panel which covered access to evaporator. called them back and when technician removed the cover I noticed the evaporator was installed backwards. I wont mention all the problems but after the warranty expired I called another service to come over and fix a few things that wasn't right. He installed the float switch that they never could get to work, found a twisted wire with no wire nut, which I think had something with the problem to begin with. He fixed several air leaks on the unit which were noticeable. I made a list of all the problems they created and never heard from them, and never got an answer from them. My mistake was that I didn't do a little research on them.
