At no time did he ever fulfill a promise, or meet a deadline. The last straw was him AGAIN failing to provide information on the repair. That was Feb. 25, and, you guessed it, CRICKETS! I have to wonder what part of "Do It Right" applies to his business.

We paid 5,200 dollars. Something wasn't right and water was backing up in the sink now. The ground has been very dry for weeks and the water still won't drain properly. Rick never came by to see what went wrong and won't return any calls. This speaks volumes! He does NOT guarantee his work or the guy he sends out. If it's something he can't handle fixing then he will ignore you. This is the attitude of a back yard plumber not a professional. I will retract this review if Rick ever does decide to come and see what Josh did or didn't do that caused the problem of water backing up into our kitchen sink now. I had a host of problems including a gas leak which took multiple calls as they blamed my stove and my fireplaces. I bought a gas detector and sent them a video of gas being detected at a vent. Even then, they had to borrow my gas leak detector to find the problem. The heat stopped working many times with inadequate fixes. They weren't able to get all the vents in the house to work, telling me the house was too big - yet THEY sized the equipment. I was told they installed a whole house filter and I could remove the filters at the air returns. I'm now paying a more reputable vendor to correct the airflow issues. I just discovered the whole house filter was never installed. Joe Cool now says to use the return filters - the exact opposite of what I was told at install. I've now learned they never even obtained a permit.

Contacted my regular plumber (not Cox) and found out he was out of town on vacation. Finally called Cox after 5 pm. Was pleasantly surprised when he answered the phone. He had other jobs already scheduled but was able to come by on Sunday afternoon. (I had shut off everything I could think of so the leak had stopped. Was afraid it was the toilet by the kitchen.) He was able to arrive an hour earlier than he expected which was great. Long store short... he was able to diagnose the actual problem (wasn't the toilet) and the issue was resolved. Very professional, very knowledgeable, very personable. Nice guy and the cost was actually less than I expected for an emergency weekend plumbing call. Hope I never need a plumber again but I would definitely use Cox Plumbing again.

Then we were not able to get them to respond to voice mail, email or texts so we finally had to drive over to the show room to get service. Now the HVAC system is not working at all and again Hammond's does not respond to calls during working hours. Their emergency number is 423-967-2513. Try calling that number and see what happens. Since our unit is still under warranty we had to get other authorized dealers in our area from the manufacturer.
