Found a leak from the main floor dripping from the ceiling of the finished basement on a Saturday…read moreafter 4:30 pm. Contacted my regular plumber (not Cox) and found out he was out of town on vacation. Finally called Cox after 5 pm. Was pleasantly surprised when he answered the phone. He had other jobs already scheduled but was able to come by on Sunday afternoon. (I had shut off everything I could think of so the leak had stopped. Was afraid it was the toilet by the kitchen.) He was able to arrive an hour earlier than he expected which was great. Long store short... he was able to diagnose the actual problem (wasn't the toilet) and the issue was resolved. Very professional, very knowledgeable, very personable. Nice guy and the cost was actually less than I expected for an emergency weekend plumbing call. Hope I never need a plumber again but I would definitely use Cox Plumbing again.

I called them because of their commercials painting the picture of them being an honest,…read morerespectable family company. I had a burst water pipe and my two toddlers were without water. I told them my situation and they said I'd have to wait 2 days for them to come and "estimate" the final cost and it would cost $60 just for the estimate. Anyone who has kids knows you can't go two days without water. I reiterated the seriousness of my situation and the lady on the phone treated me with callous disregard and reiterated that they WOULD need cash up front, but offer financing IF I qualify. This was unacceptable to me. I grabbed a shovel, went outside and started digging. I found the problem myself. It was a broken coupling at the meter. I took the coupling to Lowe's and they showed me the exact parts I needed. The final cost was $58 (including candy for my babies) and several hours of digging. I had it fixed that very evening. I feel sorry for the people who absolutely need to depend on this company. The city of Kingsport confirmed no leaks and turned my water back on before bath time. I feel like I did the right thing. The pictures I posted are MY work, not theirs.

After arguing with the manager on the phone over the ridiculous price he refunded me $900. Then they said I needed a new water heater -50Gal Direct vent gas heater- and told me it would cost $5700 for the entire job!!! I told them to take a hike, went to lowes, bought a new heater for $1850 and their installers did a great job and it cost me $2100 total. Steve Huff is one of the worst scammers Ive ever seen, oh and don't let them try to push you into their "Service contract" that's another one of their scame. They don't actually service anything, they just come around every few months and tell you that you need to fix or replace this or that, which they then over charge you for.

Had to make multiple trips to store for a fitting; told us there was a" small leak " in crawl space which we found out afterwards was a long standing major leak that was active and rotting out the floor between our two bathrooms which we still need to get resolved; and come to find out he never installed a water valve on line to fridge that we now need to have done by someone else for more money.

We suspected a leak outside near the tank and called this company for some help. The guy they sent was very nice and even covered his shoes before entering our house. He spent about 30 minutes messing in the fireplace then let us know that there must not be enough pressure in our tank. We told him how we expected it was leaking. He then informed us we owed a $90 service fee and was ready to leave. At this point, he had made no effort to fix our leak that we called for help for. We asked if he could go out and find the leak, which he then agreed to do. After finding the leak he let us know where it was and then tried to leave again. We then asked if he could fix the leak and he said, "sure", and did so. He just seemed in a hurry to leave and we had to poke him along the way to get him to actually do anything for the problem. The next week, we got some new propane in our tank and we came in to see if there was enough pressure to start the fire. As soon as we opened the fireplace gate for the first time since the repairman came, we quickly realized that one of our logs was very visibly broken now. This was an old fireplace and one that we had never taken the logs out to inspect. So it is very possible the log was already broken before he took them out (which he would have most likely done in the 30 minutes he was messing with it). Maybe it wasn't already broken though and maybe it accidently cracked when he took it out and that explains why he was trying to leave so fast. Only he knows at this point. My biggest issue is that no matter if he accidently broke it or if it was already broken, he should have brought this up to us! When someone is there to repair your fireplace and it is visibly broken and a safety hazard, they should notify the owners. Not letting us know is what I am most upset about. I called the company and asked if they would address this with our repairman and they blew me off and never got back to me. I would not recommend this company.
