Sales said it was"frozen" whatever that meant. No offer to fix it before purchase. Following the test drive I shut off the car and the salesman came out to move it and it would not start. The owner and another man came running (literally) with a battery charger and confessed that they had to jump it that morning! It would not start even after a charge. They had this lot 6 months and never checked the battery (it was the original 2019 battery that came in the car new. They didn't fix the running board or tell me prior it did not work. The salesman said he himself drove it 1000 miles last summer. This car would have left me stranded on the 100 mile drive back home!

I know people who will vouch for 30+ years of honest business experience with them. I asked the salesman about it and he said the reviewers appeared to be very interested in a car (without ever driving it) that someone else was already interested in. It seems that the sales staff never truly knows when a customer is going to want to close the deal, and the people who had it at their home made that decision. This stuck with me after I fell in love with the first Jeep I drove off their lot, and I made sure to call Greg to tell him I would be buying that car after trying a couple other places. Granted I didn't have to drive 80 miles, but even for ten miles, at least I verified it was still available. Then, as I sat there waiting for the paperwork, I saw the sign attached here. I got lucky. I was in the right place at the right time and the car had not been chosen by anyone else! I had occasion to stop back in again and found that the no-pressure, open approach was standard. Give them a chance and they'll try to please. Just keep in mind that finding the right used car is often a cross between just plain luck and intuition.

He has always been straightforward about what he's got & if it matches what I'm looking for. NO PRESSURE, & a welcome change from the gigantic high-pressure lots a few blocks north. If you don't like anything in the lot you can order from a nationwide database with the security that every vehicle was taken care of. They will bring it to you. They will even print off the maintenance schedule if you ask. I've both ordered a vehicle out of state and bought one off their lot. The staff is knowledgeable, helpful and charming. They will offer you coffee, tea or water while filling out the paperwork. They make it as pain free as possible. I recommend due diligence before going of course. It's not nearly as stressful as going to a regular car dealership, they don't hassle you for a decision right away or treat you poorly. It's worth it. I plan on buying from them for years.

That done, after 45 minutes waiting, the rep came out and told me that the part they had for my car had instead been installed on a new car in the lot. (I was told when I made the appointment that it was the last part they had, and they would save it for my vehicle). I was shocked to hear this, as this is a serious safety issue. I am not to fill the gas tank over half full, and Subaru instructed owners to park away from our house if the outdoor temperature rises quickly!! I chose a Subaru over several other vehicles, and now am seriously questioning their commitment to their customers. It seems that customer service should honor an appointment made to fix this, especially verses putting the part scheduled for my car onto a vehicle on the lot. I am currently waiting for them to get more parts in and I guess I'll try again. I am, so far, not impressed!!
