Our experience with Beau Wine Tours turned into an unforgettable Napa getaway -- thanks almost entirely to our incredible driver, Terry. I'll be honest: the planning phase started off a little strange. Molly was my point of contact, and then she suddenly disappeared from the process. Fortunately, everything eventually came together, and we ended up with an amazing six-day vacation, including visits to eight wineries over three days. But the real highlight -- the reason this is a 5-star review -- is Terry. Terry was amazing. Super friendly, super nice, and honestly a good-lookin' guy (even if he did tell us he gained 70 pounds after quitting smoking in 2019). He anticipated every single need before we even had to ask. He brought us breakfast when we were too lazy to get out of bed. He brought us pizza when we were too exhausted to make it to our dinner reservations. He's charismatic, charming, and funny as can be. Even on Thanksgiving Day, he made us feel important and cared for -- you'd never know he was missing a holiday with his own family and friends. For my 40th milestone birthday in Napa I hired Beau Wine Tours for transport to shuttle my group of 12 from the hotel, 3 wineries, and back to the hotel. Beau Wine Tours hooked us up with a sweet Mercedes Benz sprinter limo for 12. The limo was awesome: very clean, and had features like a cooler, wine glasses, lights, and a bass-heavy speaker to pump up your Bluetooth playlist. Rodney was our driver and he was fantastic! He dressed in a black suit, surprised my group with bottles of complementary champagne, and did an amazing job shuttling my group from appointment to appointment in a timely manner. He even was a good sport checking in with us throughout the drive, letting my group blast 90's throwback jams on the speakers! When you do a celebration wine tasting, riding in style in a luxury limo or bus is the way to go and I'm so happy that I worked with Beau Wine Tours for my milestone birthday. My experience with the reservation specialists (Salli) was exceptional. I was celebrating my birthday (on a budget) with 10 close family members. Salli could appreciate my situation and she offered really great ideas that helped me stay cost-conscious. I really enjoyed working with her! I was disappointed by my driver Brian's inflexibility. The SF Ferry had just updated their schedules but inadvertently departed early that morning and left half of our party. We called Brain the very second the Ferry had taken off early, which was over two hours before our pick up time. In my opinion, this was plenty of time for Brian to consider the offer of flexibility, even a 30 min to one hour offer would have helped. Especially since he was already guaranteed, as I had already paid a baked-in 20% gratuity, provided in the Wine Tour contract. He could have made even more gratuity. During the 6-hour timeframe we had contracted and paid in full for ~$1200, we ended up rushing through the only two wine tastings we had scheduled and back to the Ferry terminal. We wound up going almost two hours over due to commute time! Brian still charged us for the extra 2 hours. (The two hours we lost from the Ferry's early departure). It really left heartburn in my experience and my family and friends were really shocked at the inflexibility of our driver and the cost I paid for this service. I expected Beau Wine Tours to reach out with a customer survey of some sort so that I could share my experience. But I heard NOTHING from them. After my emotions calmed down about a week later, I reached out to Salli at Beau Wine Tours and shared the story. I followed up again several weeks later and now, after an entire month, they were still unable to offer ANY cost refund, not even $50. They made a LOT of money off of me for this organization to just be a TAXI/Uber service in the end. I firmly feel that Beau Wine Tours has some ownership in this, even if it's to encourage their drivers to offer a grace period or time flexibility as a kind service gesture! I won't be using this tour company nor will I refer this company ever again. read more

We hired Beau Wine Tours for our wedding day. My experience with the reservation specialists (Alyssa and Katherine, I believe) was great. They were very accommodating and accurately took down some of my complex requests. I really enjoyed working with them! They were professional and super friendly. I was disappointed by our driver Amy. I'm not sure if there was a miscommunication internally or Amy didn't read the instructions that Alyssa had written down. Couple of the problems: 1. Since I was the bride, I did not want to be contacted on my wedding day. Alyssa wrote down my wedding planner as the primary contact with my wedding planner's phone number. On the day of my wedding, Amy called me anyways and asked where to pick up our wedding party. 2. Amy did not go to the correct pick up spot. She also failed to contact the people who I listed as the main contacts at the first pick up spot. Everyone was left wondering where the driver was because she didn't communicate with either my wedding planner or the groomsmen at the first pick up spot. She ended up picking them up 15 - 20 mins late, which wasn't great because we were running on a tight timeline. 3. Right before I left the shuttle to walk down the aisle, Amy started asking me questions about when the end of her service was, even though it clearly said in our agreement that the end of service time was 7 PM. Unfortunately, Beau Wine Tours ended up being the only stressor of my wedding day because 1) the driver didn't follow instructions the reservation specialists and I specified, and 2) the driver kept asking me, the bride, all of these questions rather than contacting the proper people. After the wedding, I was also disappointed with the fact that Beau Wine Tours never returned my calls when I tried to get in contact with the dispatch manager to leave my feedback. I left them a voicemail a couple of weeks ago and haven't heard back. The service fee includes a baked-in 20% gratuity, so at the very least, it would've been nice to talk to someone about the driver's performance and how it was not deserving the 20% gratuity. read more

What could have been a huge disappointment for my daughter, granddaughter and myself ended up to be a wonderful memorable experience. My daughter had scheduled a 6 hour luxury car experience on Mother's Day. There was a scheduling error which was promptly resolved by I believe it was Alyssa. Initially, I experienced friendly and knowledgeable customer service that explained all of the options to me while planning my reservation. I was given a complimentary itinerary that included some interesting and famous winery's and a picnic lunch. The itinerary was set up custom for us and was in line with the short amount of time that my wife and I were staying in Napa. We were picked up at our hotel right on schedule and our drivers name was David. We were upgraded to a BMW 7 series which was a nice surprise. David was absolutely phenomenal. He was friendly and personable but above all, his knowledge of the winery process/industry was on another level. He answered all of our questions and explained everything in detail. David made our trip extremely memorable. We also made mention that we were traveling through the state of California and he took the time to send me a text message with some awesome sites to see along the way. You may have seen my previous review of Beau and a certain bad experience we had with a particular driver...and the way the situation was handled. This was after we had previously hired Beau and had a great time, so it came as a great shock that the experience was so bad. As I mentioned in that review I was later contacted by Tom Buck, the owner of Beau Wine Tours who arranged for my group (plus some additional members who didn't get to go last time) a do-over trip. I appreciated his willingness to admit mistakes were made, and the fact that they had let go of the problem driver spoke volumes. This time around was a totally different experience. Our driver, John was amazing. He called me two days prior to confirm the pick up location and to ask if there were any questions or requests. When I informed him of our two nursing moms he developed a way to accommodate their pumping needs (talk about above and beyond service!). He arrived at my home on time and with directions, not only that, but he knew an event was taking place near the golden gate bridge so he let us know he was planning to take the bay bridge instead to avoid the traffic. We didn't have to handle directions or timing at all this time! I love how thorough and prepared he was, he must have been a boy scout as a kid. The wineries Tom and John selected were more family-owned not big touristy ones which was exactly what I requested. We had an amazing time at Ceja meeting the family and playing on their bocci ball court and loved our outdoor tasting. Next we stopped in at O'Brien Estate where we enjoyed a barrel tasting and picnic lunch (from girl and the fig) on their beautiful grounds. After that a private room tasting with Frank family and much giggling, and finally a very fun off-the-beaten path tasting shack stopover with Frias Family. I'll be writing reviews of all of these because they were fabulous. Honestly the timing and selection was perfect and when we were early and one winery wasn't quite ready John worked it out with them while we enjoyed champagne! Again John went above and beyond, constantly fetching more ice on a hot hot day, making sure we had water, driving one of our mamas into town when she wasn't feeling well, tolerating our impromtu dance parties, and putting up with our constant requests to take potty breaks, even when totally inconvenient. A special thank you to Tom for arranging such a beautiful day and to John for being the most prepared, patient, and thoughtful driver/tour guide. I would certainly work with Beau again after this experience, and I am so pleased to see how they go out of their way when someone is less than satisfied. read more

My husband and I came out to Napa with my parents at the end of March. We had two days of wine tours planned out, the first with Beau Tours and the second we were going to drive ourselves...until we spoke with our driver Donald. Donald called about 2-3 weeks before we were scheduled to arrive. He talked me through our options for Saturday and made lunch reservations for us at Mustards Grill--a place that's not very easy to get into apparently, but Donald got us in! He also made it possible to get to 2 other wineries that day. Having his knowledge + expertise made logistics super easy. I brought up our plans for Monday and he wisely informed me that driving yourself to wine tastings was probably not the safest option. So we booked him for our second day and once again he did not disappoint. We learned so much about the area from Donald and was able to experience so much more thanks to him. Donald arrived at our resort early each day, the vehicle was clean and stocked with water Oh, and if you need to ship wine safely home--Donald's your guy! We have been loyal customer with many reservations in the past decade. We received text alerts the evening prior and early morning that Timothy Corcoran will be our designated driver. When he didn't show up, I called him directly only to find him to be still in bed! It appears the driver was assigned (not his fault), but Dispatch never communicated our reservation to him. I frantically called Ashley Phillips, whom I believe to be the Dispatch Manager, to quickly address the issue. Instead of offering an apology; she sounded defensive and annoyed, claiming she didn't know who dropped the ball. Granted - but being the Manager I would expect her to own up any mistakes regardless. We ended up cancelling the entire reservation and driving ourselves. There was no way the driver would make it on time for our first wine tasting appointment without running late. This ruined our entire day as a couple of us had to be the driver and were unable to drink much at all. I requested Ashley to process the deposit refund right away. It only took her a week to get with her Accounting department to get this done after my two follow-ups. I also requested if there is anything else they could do for us with this mishap. Not that we are looking to take advantage of any monetary compensation; but it would be a nice gesture to keep their loyal customer in good standing. Ashley promised this request would be taken up to her next chain of command (i.e. the owner). So far we have heard crickets with no follow up. Regrettably; we will never hire Beau Wine Tours ever again. read more

Recently used Beau Wine Tours for a group tour of various wineries. Overall a good experience, wonderful new bus or recently upgraded interior, good driver, and decent pricing (according to coworker who organized it). As mentioned above, the interior of the buses is great, new leather seats, hardwood floors, tinted windows, charging ports for phones, and ample room for taller folks. We hit many wineries in Napa, which was great, but honestly I would of been happy with just a few, but we ended up hitting five at a quick pace. I will not complain though as I did not have to organize the event and or pay for a majority of it! The only downside I really had was the driver, he knew where to go, but was very strict about certain rules while riding in the bus. I understand a mess on a bus is his problem after the tour is done, but no need to get upset with guests who are carefully eating while trying to not cause a mess. Again, besides that, he was great as he knew where to go and the fastest route, including some back roads to avoid some traffic along the way. Don't take this tour if you are lightweight wine drinkers. We were disappointed with the tour... overall, the driver, Cyrus was good, and did his necessary follow-ups ensuring we arrive at Vallejo where we were picked up. We were picked up with a Mercedes coach van, offered champagne as soon as we settled in. Heading to the first winery, we were given a tour of the winery and in the end, had wine tasting. Heading to the second winery, we're told it's business and we need to either purchase or do wine tasting which is $25-$30 per person. We already paid $125 per head for the tour. Then at the end of the second winery, we were told if we are not drinking or purchasing wine, then best we get dropped off and be picked up when the van is headed to the ferry. If the itinerary clearly said wine tasting required in each winery, we would have known! Or they should not force customers to purchase and just let customers go and explore the winery without purchasing. Disappointing... don't book if you are lightweight wine drinkers. And the promised lunch by the vineyard was very ordinary. It was actually a table in front of one of the boutique wineries... where the driver set-up with lap towel placemats... then served a bowl of potato salad, chickpea and a few sandwich slices. Nothing special like described in the ads. Also, if it's your first time in Napa, don't go with this tour... not worth it. You'll be very very very disappointed. Our wedding venue required all guests to arrive and depart by shuttle. Beau Wine Tours made this super simple and stress free for us! All pre-wedding communication and payments were very clear and easy. We were able to have two shuttles each pick up from different locations, with all of our guests arriving on time. At the end of the night, we were even able to have them drop off the younger crowd at a bar for an after party while taking everybody else back to the hotels. We recently used Beau for our wedding transportation in Napa. Overall, the experience has been unorganized and unprofessional. We arranged for two buses to transport our 100+ guests from downtown Napa to our venue in St. Helena. The booking process was exhausting - they were generally slow to confirm things and we actually didn't have final confirmation on everything until about a week before the wedding. On the day of the wedding, the pick-up was OK. There was only one pick-up location and we paid extra to have the buses arrive early and wait 15 minutes for people to board before leaving. Problems started when the buses were scheduled to start shuttling people back to the hotel. We had agreed on one bus doing an earlier run back to the hotel for guests who didn't want to stay until the end, and apparently, both drivers were refusing to make the trip because they said they weren't told to do so, despite the fact that IT WAS IN OUR CONTRACT. It took aggressive persistence from both my wedding planner and father-in-law to convince one of the drivers to take people back. It's not like they had anywhere else to go, they were literally just sitting there. And on top of that, they were incredibly rude about the situation. When the rest of us left, we asked the bus to stop for 2 minutes at our rental house on the other side of the parking lot so we could grab our bags. It took pleading and begging to get these guys to do it... they just seemed annoyed about everything we asked them to do, as if they were doing us some huge favor. The wedding was over at 10pm and it was about a 30 minute drive back to the hotel downtown. The day after the wedding, we got a charge on our credit card for over $1,200 extra than we had agreed on. We followed up and asked for a breakdown of the charges, and they charged us 3 extra hours for each bus, saying the buses dropped off at 2:15 AM which is just completely wrong and actually impossible. When asked them to correct the charges, they said they would "look into what happened" and revert back. It's now been over 2 weeks since our wedding and we haven't gotten an answer back from the company. The excessive charges are still on our credit card and they seem like they are in no rush to fix things. Perhaps these guys do OK with small wine tours, but I wouldn't recommend them at all for a wedding. We asked if they could provide 1-way transfers for the groom/groomsmen to get to the venue before the wedding, and they quoted us a ridiculous price and 6 hour minimum. We ended up using Pure Luxury for those cars, who were cheaper and much more pleasant to work with. Wish we had used them for our buses as well. read more

We utilized Beau Wine Tours for our July 2021 wedding in Winters, CA after coming highly recommended from our wedding planner. We had two executive coaches available to transport the wedding party as well as our guests from Hotel Winters to Park Winters - about a 15 minute drive. The coaches were on time, spacious and clean. They also ran trips back to the hotel throughout the evening for anyone who wanted to return early. I was having 13 people flying out to California to celebrate my birthday and mine and my husband's wedding anniversary. The only good thing I can say is that the day of was great. The days before and after were stress inducing. I contacted this company in aug or sept. I'm an emailer so I have a record of everything sent for reference. This is for me as much as it is for them. I arranged for an entirely too large shuttle situation for Oct 6th and paid half up front. There was a bunch of incompetence going back and forth regarding the size of the vehicle and lunches. But that goes without saying there. I had sent a couple of emails leading up to the day we were about to fly out that went unanswered, so I finally called. I was informed that my limo was all set for us on the wrong date with the wrong pick up location. THE DAY BEFORE THE EVENT. Natalie and Salli were who set this up. I was informed that lucky for me, there was still one over-sized vehicle available for me. Well. I certainly hope so as I have all the emails related to this $hitshow. I was sent and updated contract with the wrong pick up location still. It is completely unbelievable to me how anything gets done at this place. As I said, THANK whoever, the day of, fortunately was fine. The days after. I got to go back and forth on how much was owed for the lunches and our overage. I knew how much the lunches were ($360), but then I was charged another $540 rather than the $360 and the $64 quoted. Of course I had to call and of course that department was closed on Monday? I don't even know. Then when I got the email response it was explained to me and that the $64 email was sent 3 times, which clarifies nothing. I was so beyond exacerbated with the staff, less our driver Nikko, who was awesome. I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone unless you want to pull your hair out. read more

Rodney was an absolute DELIGHT and truly made this trip extra special. Last month, my brother decided to celebrate his 30th birthday in Napa....and because we loved it so much, I once again contacted Beau to charter a shuttle to fit our large party. We selected Beau not only because we were happy with their service last time, but their prices were very reasonable - more so than the other companies I compared them to and so it was easy to decide on which to book with. Everything went smoothly when I booked...I read the contract, etc. and sent in our deposit. A couple of weeks before our scheduled tour, I called to confirm our reservation, to see who our driver was going to be and also to see if we can request specific wineries. Apparently (so I was told), that because it was a private tour, and because our party was so big (12 people), that *we* had to book those tastings ourselves! I was very surprised as that was not written anywhere on the contract, nor was I told this over the phone. Salli, from Beau, told me that she usually tells customers this over the phone, but it must have been missed somehow when we spoke and that she was sorry. So off I went with calling different wineries and making reservations for our large group. I've only gone on tasting tours and have never had to make reservations....so the biggest challenge I had was trying to figure out how long it would take to taste...and also lots of Google-mapping to figure out how long it would take to drive from one winery to another. A week before our weekend, I get an email from Salli double checking to see if I've made reservations already...and asking if I needed any help with making those reservations because she felt bad about the mis-communication. I asked her to help me with V. Sattui because I couldn't get a hold of anyone, and she said she would go ahead and do that for me. A couple of days before our trip, our assigned driver called me to confirm our times and when I told him about the reservations we had to make on our own, he was surprised that I had to do it myself...telling me that Beau usually books those themselves! On top of that, on the day of our tour...when we got to V. Sattui, there were no such reservation....lucky for us though, they were able to squeeze in our party as a "walk-in". I'm very disappointed with our past experience with Beau. I had such high expectations because of our last tour earlier this year. I guess it's true that you get what you pay for! Referred to Beau by La Belle Epoque. We were told they were the best. I of course had a whole itinerary planned out for them to follow. The driver showed up early and parked exactly where I asked her to (this was a surprise for my wife). There was cold champagne, ice and sodas waiting for us inside. Anyway, after talking with our driver, we changed our plans and went to a winery she chose. After having a wonderful experience at Vincent Arroyo winery, I decided to discuss my itinerary further with the driver. She made some suggestions for changes, and I told her to just take care of it all. She made calls, as some of the places required appointments. Anyway, we had a wonderful day of wine tasting. I booked a tour WAAAAAY in advance and apparently that is not necessary. I did not actually get a final confirmation until the night before our trip which really irritated me. I REALLY wanted to have everything finalized prior to traveling. It was so annoying to be packing and getting ready to leave still trying to figure out what we were doing; especially for the money you spend on a private tour. Now that my venting is over I can get to the actual service which was AWESOME!!! We had Cary as a driver. I am sure we wore him out but he stuck with us till the end. He was the nicest guy. OMG. We ordered lunch from one of his recommendations. He sneaked off to go pick up lunch while we were at one of the wineries and then he set up a picnic table for us (table cloth, water, fine utensils, plates, etc) to dine outside and enjoy the view. At the last minute we decided to book a wine tour with Beau wine tours for my 23rd birthday. At first we were a little hesitant about the whole thing since we had to share the limo with three other couples that we didn't know. We were also skeptical about the fact that we did not really have a choice in where we got to go. Upon picking us up Damon, our driver, had two bottles of champagne ready for us to drink. I thought that this was a nice touch. The first place we visited was Hill Family Estates. This place was small and I probably would have never thought to go there if it weren't for Damon. It turns out that it is a very small family owned operation. The person who helped us there went in to more detail than any other host did at all of the vineyards we went to. They gave us very individualized service. The other three places we went to were very nice also. The picnic lunch provided was super delicious! The group of people we ended up going with were very fun and every couple turned out to be celebrating something. We all vowed to stay in touch even though by the end of the trip I didn't remember anyone's names. Damon turned out to be very friendly and personable. I was very impressed that he took us around for an extra hour and a half so that we could see the 4 vineyards we were promised. He never rushed us or anything. He also offered to help us get reservations at local restaurants if we needed. At the end of the day he even invited us to a party! This was a great way to enjoy tastings without worrying about driving. I would do it again in an instant! And I would recommend it to others! read more

He was so courteous, prepared, and went out of his way to get us extra water/supplies and was happy to stop wherever we requested (including two different in n out restaurants when the first was closed).
