Beautiful steps to the front of the winery

What a beautiful day and winery. This is less than an hour from our house. Such a beautiful picturesque place multiple terraces to sit, fountain and a view of the vines. They also have indoor seating. It would have been nice if they had more food options but what a gorgeous place. We would go back for the view. Our first time at this winery.

3.7/5 We visited Domain Carneros to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary, and it was a really nice experience. We enjoyed two tasting flights, and both were very good. We also tried the caviar with chicken nuggets and tater tots, which was honestly one of the highlights -- such a fun and surprisingly delicious combination! The service was great, and the atmosphere was beautiful, making it a perfect place to relax and celebrate such a special milestone together. Overall, we had a wonderful time and were glad we chose Domain Carneros to start our anniversary weekend

ChatGPT recommended Domaine Carneros for its beautiful setting in a château inspired by Château de la Marquetterie, the historic home associated with Champagne Taittinger in France, its vineyard views, and an elegant seated tasting of sparkling wines. It is a beautiful château with seating both inside and outside on the terrace overlooking the vineyards. I made reservations in advance, and once we arrived, we could choose among three different tastings, ranging from about $45 to $60, depending upon the wines. If you prefer sweeter sparkling wines, ask which tasting would be the best choice for you. I also recommend adding the charcuterie plate, which came with three cheeses, crackers, dried cranberries, and honey and paired very nicely with the sparkling wines. Caviar is also available if you want to make the experience more indulgent. Dylan gave us a quick overview of the differences among the tastings and explained the four flutes of sparkling wine we would be trying. For me, Domaine Carneros is especially well suited to someone who wants to sit back, sip sparkling wine, and enjoy a beautiful vineyard view. It would also be a lovely choice for a romantic date. If you're looking for an in-depth educational tasting with extensive discussion about the winery's history or the individual wines, you may need to take the initiative and ask more questions. Our experience was more about enjoying the wines, the château, and the scenery than receiving a detailed wine education. And sometimes, sitting on a terrace overlooking Napa vineyards with four glasses of sparkling wine with some cheese and crackers to nibble on is a pretty great experience in itself.

Stopped here for a Saturday afternoon wine tasting with some friends. The winery sits on a hill overlooking napa wine country, which is very beautiful. We tried a couple of their red wines and ordered a couple bottles of bubbly for the table, which were refreshing and not too sweet. We also ordered a charcuturie board, which I enjoyed. There was a variety of pickles, mustard, nuts, and cheeses and you could really customize your bite.

What a beautiful winery! We did the early tasting at 10am and as we came here early. This place gets so busy. Corey answered all our questions and he was great. This is a great place for a celebration, date, or just if you want to go to a nice winery. We didn't get a membership as their wines are good but not something we wanted to have sent to us every other month.

On my girls winery day, this was the fanciest place we visited. It almost felt like a resort. Think manicured lawns, elegant vibes, and pinky's up! We ordered the nuggets with caviar and tots. It was honestly the perfect sharing finger food and we loved the nugget plus crème fresh and caviar combo. Who would have thought?! The bubbly flights were alright. I wasn't super impressed but it was a good time. Overall I probably wouldn't come back here for the wines alone but I felt fancy and enjoyed the atmosphere

We pulled up unannounced thinking we could, lol, but heads up! You need rezzies so be ware! We called from the parking lot and happily secured an on the spot rezz. First time here for sparkling wine tasting, sweet and it was!! Pleasantly welcomed in to the chateau replica. Our sommelier was knowledgeable and down to earth. He even gave us an additional tasting of 2020 Late Disgorged Brut which was delicious!! The grounds are lovely the atmosphere is open bright with a fountain and birds bathing and seeking tidbits, absolutely beautiful! This is a definite must, if you're in the area and even if you're not! Domaine Carneros, y'all come check it!

It was a beautiful 70°, we sat overlooking the front with Vineyards

Five stars. My bestie is a member and a foodie like me. We were treated like VIPs on our hot girls date to Napa on a random Tuesday. We were greeted warmly and with genuine smiles. We sat outside on the patio with lots of umbrellas (gotta protect the skin!). We got the sparkling sampler and oh boy what a treat! My bestie loves this place because they have the most food options in her opinion. I loved that we got tater tots, fancy chicken nuggets fancy chicken nuggets, along with caviar . We also got the delicious charcuterie board. Our server I forget his name I want to say John but he was a true Delight very gentleman like an enthusiastic explaining the notes and how to taste our sparkling beverages in order from less sweet to sweeter. 100/100

Very nice winery with many steps to enter the winery!!! You may get out of breath but once you finish you will see how beautiful this estate is!! The service was phenomenal we had Bogar and he was very professional!! On the other hand, I did not care for the wines as much we had for our tasting. I tried the sparkling tasting and my favorite one was VERMELL DEMI-SEC!! It was just the right amount of sweetness and crisp!! The ambiance is really beautiful!!! So many good pics to take!! With the vineyards and scenic view where you sit for tastings!! May come back here when I'm in Napa! -Marshay D.

We visited Domaine Carneros to celebrate my daughter's birthday and had a wonderful experience. We enjoyed a champagne flight paired with a charcuterie board, and everything was beautifully presented and delicious. The weather was absolutely perfect, allowing us to relax and take in the stunning vineyard views from the terrace. Despite making same-day reservations, everything went smoothly, and it wasn't overly crowded, which made the experience even more enjoyable. Between the beautiful grounds, excellent sparkling wines, and relaxing atmosphere, Domaine Carneros made for a memorable birthday celebration. We highly recommend it for a special occasion or a day of wine tasting in Napa.

We had a 2:30 PM reservation here for a party of six. Walking up the grand staircase at Domaine Carneros is so dramatic because you're completely surrounded by tailored topiary, blooming flowers, and lush green grapevines hugging both sides. The property is absolutely beautiful, and we had a fantastic tasting experience. Even as someone who isn't usually a big fan of champagne, the experience was still wonderful. Our server was sweet, attentive, and accommodating. We sat outside on the terrace, which was perfect even though it was scorching hot this weekend, getting to enjoy those stunning vineyard views made it completely worth it. If you're a fan of sparkling wine and beautiful views, I highly recommend checking them out!

Amazing winery. It was my second time here, this time for an anniversary. We did the sparkling wine tasting+oyster tasting, and everything was absolutely perfect. The day was sunny so the view from where we were sitting was extra beautiful. Wine was delicious and paired well with the oysters, just as the server recommended. I wish I remembered his name, he had a British accent and was extremely friendly; definitely added to this amazing experience. The oysters MELTED in our mouths, we ended up getting 2 dozen in total. We also got the puff pastry with smoked salmon+caviar. They were bite sized and tasted good, but didn't love the pastry. The price for the whole experience was definitely reasonable and I'll be back for it again soon. One small complaint is that the chairs for outdoor seating are not comfortable to me. So I reallly appreciated the chairs in the dining area, so I can enjoy the food, drinks, and scenery, all while being comfortable.

Ask the Community - Domaine Carneros

Are there any non-alcoholic wines here?

I don't recall seeing any on their tasting menu. You should call.

    Is it only sparkling wines?

No, they also have still Chardonnay & Pinot Noirs.

    Is this dog friendly?

    No I don't believe so

Due to health reasons, I'm unable to drink alcohol at this time. Am I able to book a reservation and just enjoy some caviar and charcuterie boards?

Hi Alisa. Absolutely. We would be delighted to host you. Caviar pairs well with pelligrino too!

    Are kids allowed?

Hi Danica. We only welcome visitors 21 and over. Thank you for understanding.

Can I do tasting without a reservation?

    Nope reservations are required

Do you accept industry tastings and/or discounts on purchases?

They have always offered me industry tastings and are so incredibly kind about it! There is also an industry discount on bottle purchases.

Would it be advisable to make a reservation for 2 people if we want to just drink wine and chat?

    Only take reservations

Are you open on July 4?

Hello Becc, thank you for reaching out to Domaine Carneros! Yes, we are open on Monday 7/4/22. Reservations are available between 10:00am-5:00pm and you may view current availability to book an appointment at our website…

Can we choose if we sit indoors or outdoors with reservation?

I believe the seating is overall outdoor, there is a covered veranda but it is still open and spills on to the terrace area that is completely outdoors.

If I'm coming for a tasting that lasts 60 minutes, can I spend time sitting outside afterwards and enjoying the view? Are we able to purchase more wines by the glass during that time?

I see people hanging out there for long time relax & chill with conversation, they will make you feel comfy as much as you want to & buying more wine is the good way to support the business so I don't think it will be an issue

Can I make a reservation for 5 adults (over 21 of course) but only purchase 2 tastings? - The rest of the party don't drink or they're a couple of designated drivers? Or is reservation required?

My husband and I shared a tasting and it was not a problem.

Do I have to make a reservation for 12 people?

    Yes, I saw a party of 10 today. 6/12/2021

We are on a quick visit and have reservation elsewhere but I would like to ask if it's ok to enter the property to just buy a bottle or two of wine and enjoy even for a little time the view or do I have to make reservations to do that?

Hi, you most definitely need a reservation for this place. Call it Covid protocols, but they don't want people wandering around their property willy nilly. This was my second time visiting and things changed a lot since my first visit. You can only…

Hello, Do you serve non alcoholic sparkling drinks?

    Hello, yes we do!

Some reviews say it's dog friendly and some say it's not, which is it?

Hi Patricia, we welcome service animals only please. Thank you!

What is the price for a Daily Tasting reservation?

It varies from which tasting you choose, but it's $40 and up per person.

Hi! Is there a limit of number of people in a group for wine tasting?

    Groups of 6 or fewer

Are dogs allowed on the dining patio?

Hi, We welcome service animals only. Thank you!

Is there a vegan option for food? And are the wines vegan?

Hello, yes we offer a vegan cheese pairing plate, and our wines are vegan.

This is a winery if you're interested in the wine label itself not a vineyard tour. We are impressed by the wines and enjoyed almost all of them. They are reasonably priced for wine purchase though I'm not used to paying $75-150 per person for tastings during the almost post pandemic Napa climate though I understand the price increase. . The wines range from $25-75 which is not considered over the top in Napa. We enjoy Saxum wines ( $100 to $500) very very occasionally and I would consider that high end , so Vinoce is definitely not on the high end in terms of price nor overpriced for their wines. Fun fact: Our host mentioned that their wines are seen on the TV show series "succession" ... We enjoyed our tasting and especially loved the Pinot and Cabernet. The Sauvignon blanc was a surprise purchase for us because we tend to prefer reds. The tasting room is near the scenic river which is quite nice. I recommend Vinoce! Visit and enjoy

We had the beer and wine tasting, which was so cool, and the flavors and textures worked well together. We loved the beer so much we tried their beer tasting and really liked their black IPA. The service was wonderful from the servor who was helpful, chatted with us quite a bit, and was informative, to the owner who also came by, refilled our water and we got to chat a bit about her love of beer, wine, and gardening. The garden is open mostly in spring and summer and that is a perfect time to check them out. Their beer, wine, and food is also seasonal. Come for the wonderful garden, peaceful energy, and friendly folx, and stay for the yummy beer and wine, and the delicious food, much of it comes from California or made from the garden itself!

Would absolutely recommend you popping in for an unforgettable wine tasting. A home converted into a tasting salon brings a homey, comfortable, and inviting ambiance. Amber is such a lovely host and made our experience truly memorable. The wine of course is the star of the show with delicious White and Red options. As a cab girl I left absolutely in love with their PhD. But my friend who leans white took home a bottle of Truth be Told Sav Blanc! Definitely worth popping in for a visit!

Found out about this place on the app Tock, while looking for an impromptu place to go wine tasting near downtown Napa, and it turned out to be such a hidden gem! The Tock app is great for finding last minute available reservations in the Napa area, I probably would not have been as likely to hear about this place. When we got in, it was empty and our experience felt so special being the only ones in there. The seating was also nice with a homey but aesthetic feel. Joe took great care of us and explained all of the wines so well, it really enhanced the experience -- by the end we even felt convinced to buy a bottle! We did the undergrad tasting and there was a good variety. We also received a complimentary cheese and cracker board and ended up buying a bottle of Hypothesis at the end -- brought it to dinner and it was enjoyable :) will definitely be back here

I was really disappointed with the Ultimate Ranch Experience. The horseback riding was good with a…read morefew areas of improvement, but the tasting experience afterward left us feeling very disappointed. I booked this experience to celebrate my husband's birthday, and one of the reasons I chose it was because the website advertises that guests can "relax in a private cabana at the Overlook." Unfortunately, that was not our experience. We were seated at a regular table without a view of the Overlook. When I asked if we could move to one of the cabanas, I was told they were reserved for parties larger than 2. However, there was a couple (party of 2) seated in one of the cabanas, so that explanation was inaccurate and left me feeling embarrassed for even asking. Had I known we would not be seated in a cabana as advertised, I would have booked a different experience. The scenery and photo opportunities were a big part of why I chose this package, and because of where we were seated, we weren't able to enjoy that aspect at all. This experience was not cheap, so I don't think it's unreasonable to expect that what is advertised is what guests actually receive. When people are paying for a specific experience, it's important that the website accurately reflects what is included or clearly states if certain features, such as cabana seating, are not guaranteed. As for the horseback riding tour, I was near the back of the line and could barely hear what the guide was saying. As a result, we missed most of the information shared throughout the ride. It would be helpful if the tour guides periodically stopped to speak to the group or used a system that allows everyone to hear, regardless of where they are in the line, especially when some people may be hard of hearing. This is something that really needs improvement, as the educational aspect of the tour is part of the experience guests are paying for. I would also recommend updating the website so it accurately sets expectations for future guests. I also hope staff provide honest and transparent explanations rather than giving information that is inconsistent with what guests can clearly see.
