The front desk young lady is a awesome but the back room staff has some egotistical issues that don't belong in the workplace Terry and etc better care for all of us is all we want, are medical experience are personal to the patient not to what they assumed due to closing time or lack of empathy not just her but some of her colleagues as well. I just hope this place stops being divided and farm out good people it's time for a change in health care the patients matter and also an also your kindness and care as providers matter. read more

Opened at 8AM on Monday. Came bright and early to get a required rapid test for an upcoming flight. New requirement for PR as of December 22nd, even if we are vaccinated and have our QR code to travel as well. Rather an inconvenience. And the at home kits won't do since there needs to be proof of when the test was completed and with a patient name as well. This clinic is walkable and not far from us. We called around and researched out places. Since vaccinated we had the option of the PCR or the rapid test as proof of a negative test results. Arrived by 8:04am. Long lines, we had to enter in the back of the clinic too. About 25 or so folks in front of us this morning minutes after 8am. One lady shouted to us and wanted us to keep the door open, saying if we don't have covid, we will in this confined hallway. I said we can't hold the door open. She said this standing in the hallway is a bad setup for sure. She walked out. One less person in line now. There is a line more of folks inside for covid tests and for other tests as well. One lady left saying she's waited for a half hour and the hallway. No problem if patients patience wanes while we wait here in the hallway. First person inside by 8:18am, took 18 minutes for progress, one person went inside. A few of us are crouched down since it's been a half hour in now. One lady called out to us folks waiting in the hallway if anyone of us did a virtual, a save my spot, has chest pain or any urgent care required. There are now about 13-15 folks after a half hour ahead of us in the hallway now. No one has moved and it's been a half hour and it's well after 9am. We are 5th from the hallway door to go inside the lobby by 9:16am. Only 3 chairs in the lobby area after the long 9:47 wait in the hallway to get in the main door area. The system here is not organized or structured at all. They could get our cell phone and text us when we can come inside the main lobby area instead of making us all wait for hours for required negative test result to travel. But they don't seem to have the appropriate staff to be able to manage that kind of convenience here at all. Now into our 3rd hour as we wait to get inside the 3rd waiting area. Haven't moved into the 3rd waiting area and have been in the interior waiting area for over an hour now. Unreal. Inside the line for check-in now by 10:45am. Checked in and waiting again to get the test just short of 3 hours now. There are 16 chairs on the inside waiting area of the urgent care as we wait for our test now. Once inside there are random squid pictures since the old superior fish ship that used to be here is where all of the squids for the Red Wings squids during the games came from this store. After our group the staff are now letting in more folks that the 9 of us already waiting in the waiting to get our test after registration and check-in. Called us in for our test by 11:15am. Out by 11:45am after Maria checked for any symptoms and if we wanted to check anything else. We said no. It was a 3:40 minute wait and trip to get a covid test this morning. 5 staff in the back. 2 in the front to check patients in. The covid test is $155 without insurance here. read more

Been there 6-7 times in the last 2 yrs. Staff is great. Place is clean. Easy to set up appointment on line. Never waited more than an hour. Most times in and out in 20-30mins. I don't go anywhere else. read more

(Let me preface this by asking: when have you ever NOT had wait at an Urgent Care?!?!?) I cut the tip of my thumb and needed stitches. Even though I had to wait (they had a lot of patients that night), I was well taken care of and looked after by Dr. Stephanie, AJ and Michael! Everyone was so kind, caring and attentive (especially when I felt like I was going to pass out). I returned 2 days later because I wasn't sure if I needed more stitches, glue or other intervention. I got the same amazing DREAM TEAM of caretakers and they all checked in on the status of my thumb, glued it up, wrapped it up AND scheduled a follow up with a hand doctor! Thank you to the DREAM TEAM! I don't want to have to come back, but if I need to; I'll come back here! read more

Lord. The wait at this urgent care is abysmal. There could be 20 people or 2 and you'll still be waiting at least 90 minutes from your appointment time - often 2.5 hours. It's close by so I keep punishing myself but I'm sure there are much better options out there. read more

I am thoroughly unimpressed with this facility. I tried to call to arrange a PCR test and no one answers the phone. I scheduled time online via Beaumont MyChart. I show up early as advised and then eventually left after waiting 40 minutes. I stopped at another urgent care on the way gone and was in-and-out in 15 minutes. There are so many urgent care facilities around Royal Oak, don't waste your time here. read more

Came in to get a Covid PCR after 2 at home positive tests. I scheduled my appointment online and it went smooth. The wait was normal and when I made it to see the nurse they were friendly and accommodating. They answered all my questions. I got a call the next day about the results and it popped on my MyChart (Beaumont app). I will be coming back again if I ever need a good urgent care. read more

We were charged for medical services that we did not request or want. My family and I came in for Covid tests ONLY and we were charged for office visits in the amount of $350. My family and I have used this chain of urgent cares a few times in the past to get covid tests without any charge because my insurance pays for Covid related testing at 100%. However, this time they also charged us for an office visit for 4 patients. I thought it was odd that they needed to take our vitals such as blood pressure, temp and pulse ox when we did not complain of any symptoms. However, it turns out because they took our vitals this justifies them to charge us an office visit?? We specifically asked to get Covid tests only when we came in. I returned to this location after receiving the bill and I spoke with the office manager Angela, which no longer works there, and she said we were charged for office visits when we should NOT have been. She said she would code the the claim again to only bill for the tests and not the office visit since billing for office visits was a mistake. Fast forward 3 months later after not hearing back from anyone from the urgent care and thinking everything was fixed, I looked at my health spending account and noticed that they got paid over $350 from my health account. Today I tried reaching out to them and they told me to call an 800 number because their office manager Angela no longer works there. I was on hold for 20 minutes before I hung up. I did my due diligence before going to this facility by checking with my insurance to make sure Covid tests were covered, which they said it was. It's only fair that I expect a health system as big as Beaumont is to do the same for their patients. I would appreciate for someone from Beaumont to reach out to me to get this fixed. Yes, as the reviews say such a long wait. Like really it is ridiculous. How long the wait is I understand COVID, it's an urgent care blah blah blah but.... I've been to plenty other urgent cares that I was in and out within the time it took me to check in. Why you may ask, the person at the front desk spelt my name wrong so I wasn't in "the system" so I had to do it all over. Then I was told I owe X amount with copay and a balance from last time. I was like ok.. I paid but when I sat down, I thought to myself my copay isn't that much. Went up... sure isn't. The lady at the desk charged me $25 over my co pay!!!!!!!!!! She was polite in handling it but I have yet to see where this "re funded" money has gone!! It's not back on my card that is for sure!! So be careful when at the desk!! Then yes you get back, wait just as long. The PA was nice. Perhaps a bit condescending but I legit being told nothing was wrong so an hour and a half and $100 of my day..... I had Covid and I highly suspected from my symptoms that i had it. Which I later was tested and it came out postive for Covid. They denied me service and I was told that Urgent Care is just like the emergency room. That was the reason the person gave me for the denial. Worry about your life don't go there. made an appointment for 330. waited 15 minutes in the lobby. then another 15 in the exam room. the nurse performed a covid test and was told to wait for doctor. after 25 minutes I asked how long. lady had an attitude and said the doctor is almost there. Writting this as I wait in the exam room, been here since 5 min past 8am, 5 people in the waiting room, here for a covid test, almost 2 hrs now. 9:43, was just seen, asked about why the wait was so long. "They are short staffed and shes the only PA" Thia is just unacceptable for an URGENT care facility. I will not recommend. The P.A. doesn't even give you the test, she asks 2 mins of questions, leaves the room, and then the patient care technician takes the swab....since only the P.A. can order the test, she makes you wait. Made an appointment at 12:30 and all I needed was a Covid test. It's now 3:15 and I still have not received my Covid test. I am 9 months pregnant and absolutely miserable. I should've just gone to a CVS. The only reason I came here was so that the test result would be on my file for when I go in for delivery. Would not recommend coming here. read more

Wish i could give this place zero stars. My 3 yr old had a possible ear infection so i made an appt at 1:05. We arrived at 1:03. We had 4 people in front of us but I figured since we made an appointment we wouldn't have to wait long. I expected to wait 30 minutes and I feel like that is being pretty generous. My son was feeling pretty uncomfortable and crying quite a bit when we arrived. I also had an infant and my oldest child with me. The receptionist was unfriendly and barely looked at us. One hour passed and they had called one person back. A few people left after a nurse(?) Had told us sorry for the wait;there was only one doctor but another would be there soon. So we figured it couldn't be much longer. We waited 30 more minutes. I asked receptionist how much longer and she said we were next. Maybe we waited another 15 or 20 more minutes when someone in waiting room started vomiting. I took my 3 children and left. The location is convenient but I will never go back. Maybe they were having an "off" day and it usually isn't like that, but i bet it is. Look elsewhere for your care. read more

This place is horrible. They do not prescribe what is needed or better yet say what they will prescribe you and then don't send it to the pharmacy. I tried calling but they do not answer. I literally called for 4 days to have them fix their mess up and no answer. Then, I finally get an answer and explain my situation so the employee transfers me then hangs up. I had a fall from my bike with injuries to my forehead and hand. The people at Beaumont Urgent Care took me right in, cleaned and stitched the forehead wound, did X-rays on my hand and wrist, and evaluated me for concussion. All of the staff members were friendly and professional. The PA who put in my stitches did a great job. Kudos to the entire staff at this facility. read more

Stay away from this place. I have been disputing a bill for months for a service that was never provided and a note that was fraudulently made considering the NP never performed any physical exam. I have called numerous times and the office manager promised a call back after looking into it that was never received and now the front desk doesn't even answer the phone. And they were very helpful, so I encountered two teams at this site. The younger diverse group is Very helpful and respectful while the much older white staff (seen Saturday afternoon/evening) is very much racist and rude for absolutely no reason. Yikes. I made an appointment for this location for noon. When I arrived, checked in and an hour later I went up to the counter to ask when I would be called. Seemed like there was mistake and then they called me back a few minutes later. I then saw a nurse within :10 mins, after I sat in the room for an hour and :15 before a Dr came in. This was after I left the room to use the restroom and check on the status. The nurse came back and asked if anyone had common yet. There seemed to be a lot of disconnect and confusion. When the Dr. finally came in there was a comment that the room just said ready. Overall I was there for 3 hours to get a covid and flu swab. I had to call 8 times to check in on the status of the results. I was then told by the girl who answered the phone "well, this is an urgent care sooooo". During the 2 hours I spend in the dr. office I could overhear many of the employees speaking unprofessionally about patients. Sad all around. Very disjointed. read more

If you're considering taking your child here- skip it. Brought my 2 yo daughter in because she has been sick and was wheezing pretty badly. I just wanted someone to take a quick listen to her breathing. The NP who checked her out was very impatient and physically aggressive with her. When my daughter didn't want to open up to have her throat looked at she said "don't make this hard, don't make me put a stick in your mouth" she then held my daughters head down and shoved a stick down her throat making her vomit. She kept putting her hands up my daughters shirt even though I told her she could feel what I was talking about over her shirt and there was no need to keep going up her shirt when she was very vocally upset about it. This woman had absolutely zero respect for my daughter. If a doctor treated me like this as an adult I would be considering it assault. Why is this any different for a child? I did not consent to any of this man handling of my child and even elbowed her off of my daughter. It's 2022 I think we can all recognize that children are humans who deserve respect just as much as adults do. This experience traumatized her and was completely unhelpful in letting me know whether or not my daughters breathing was something to be concerned about. Again, maybe it's a good enough place for adults but the way my child was disrespected and essentially assaulted... I'll never take one of my children anywhere besides their pediatrician ever again. read more

They clearly do not take Covid seriously here. There was a girl in the waiting room with no mask on at all. I almost left, but then got called back for my appointment. The nurse who took my vitals shoved her mask under her chin twice until I asked her to pull it up. Her response was that she had to sneeze, which, to me, is the most important time to be wearing a mask. This is a doctors office!! They really need to take covid more seriously! read more

Following the 4th of July and back to back weekend graduation parties, I began to experience a few symptoms associated with the Covid-19 virus. The doctor and health care professional at Beaumont Urgent Care in downtown Royal Oak administered a pain free nasal swab, and addressed my concerns in the comfort of my car. The entire process took less than half an hour, and I had my results back in 3 days. Safe to say my results came back negative!
