I came in right when the salon opened and still sat there while walk-ins who came after me were seated first--most of them clearly familiar with the staff. I used to use Beautiful Nails years ago, and decided to go back because they were amazing back then. Goodness, how things changed! They allowed one tech to work on mine and my daughter's nails, so we had to wait forever while a lot of other workers were sitting around. He cut my thumb so badly, it bled any time I hit it for 3 days! He also cut my daughters middle finger really bad!!!!! There was a chunk of skin missing. The nails were crooked, and not attached in the corner of the nails, and on the other side of the nail, it was thick and all stuck to my nail!!!!! While getting our toes done, I saw a roach climbing around the foot spa next to me(nobody was using it) then spotted this dead roach in the middle of the floor(see pic), after a few more minutes, I saw a love roach running across the floor...one worker saw it and walked right past it. . I visited the salon for almost 4 years. Jenifer is the best artist in design, she does any style you want. If she is off, Cheryl take me with her beautiful smile (she is good as well with nails). Lina, waoo! She is awesome! I'm being with her about 3 years! And is the only one who left my nail up to the end. I really love her. I recommend "Beautiful Nails" 100%. read more

Geesh the slander of this place is shocking to say the least. Then again Ive gone to the same person since I was in high school. Her name is Susie and she's the truth! Now I can only speak for pedicures but never has my polish or anything been messed up by Susie. She takes her time and makes sure you're satisfied. She's very personable and remembers what you like so well. Y'all I legit haven't seen this woman in ten years and she remembered me! I was so shocked. Then again my mom and aunt still goes there so maybe that helps. In regards to covid precautions they place a plastic shield between you and them. Also those who do not wear glasses wear a plastic shield over their face. They are as protected as they can be in regards to following guidelines. No appointment needed but if you want Susie definitely call and schedule with her because she's always booked and busy. read more

AVOID!! I do not recommend! I asked for dipped nails. First they had to remove the dip powder nails I had and forgot about me. The acetone was burning from being left on for too long. If that wasn't bad enough. Never communicated with me to ask what shape. So they went ahead and gave me round which I didn't ask for. Left dipped powder all over my cuticles and when I asked to remove, they said just wash your hands. It took them 2 HOURS to start and finish. AVOID! Not worth your money. I've been coming to says nail salon since they opened their doors years ago. I've had little problems here and there, but nothing major but today I want him with my granddaughter. Not so great customer service. You're like a number here. And if you don't have an appointment, expect to wait an hour or more to be seen. I was 2 minutes late to my appointment and the lady took another customer. I was fortunate to get a 15 minute pedicure done before closing. As for my acrylic refill, Andy was sick so I went with an older man. I can tell you, he is not the best nail tech. I had to ask for the nail file to fix some nails that weren't filed round. He proceeded to tell me "Oh you don't like how I do your nails, I do them good". He left my edges rusty, paint not even and my nails are pointy instead of round (you can zoom in for your own opinion). Before I called I asked the price for a refill with gel polish and was told $30 he charged me $35 and got rude when I questioned the price. The only reason why I came to this place was my original nail salon is a 35 minute drive. I think I rather my nail salon as they have exceptional customer service. I've already said once that I'd never go back, but with the proximity to my house I thought maybe I'd try again. WOSRT DECISION EVER. I decided to get my nails done with gel right before I went on a 5 day vacation, before I even made it back I was missing polish on one whole nail and other nails were chipping away... I opt for gel because they are supposed to last. Need less to say a huge disappointment. I returned today to try dip powder, after not finding a color I liked I asked for them to remove the polish. The woman tried to get me to pick other colors but nothing was satisfying.. after finally accepting I wanted the polish removed she tried to get me to soak my nails in an old laundry cap (gross). I could go on about my poor experience so I'm just going to leave a warning to never visit this salon. I was charged $10 to remove polish that they inadequately did.. whatever. I have gone to this nail shop before, since it's close to where I live, and I vowed back then that I wouldn't return BUT I gave it another chance today. The service is AWFUL. I went in for a mani/pedi so she started on the manicure first. Since when do you NOT get to wash your hands during the process? Even if I didn't want any color, I would think that you would still want me to wash my hands after you have filed and buffed them. NO washing! she did massage with the lotion then immediately had me to go to the pedicure chair. I told her that my thumb was really sharp and not buffed even enough and she handed ME the nail file. The pedicure was decent, even though it too was a RUSHED service. I had to tell her that both toes needed filing down more because they were sharp, she did get the lotion to BARELY massage my legs, but guess what...NO hot towel. She literally was rushing because more people had come in for service. She was rushing so much that she was trying to give me someone else shoes to put on. Needless to say, I will pay the additional cost and drive further to get a better service. I STILL gave a tip, only $3.00 though, and the owner had the NERVE to question my tip amount. Went here today with a friend because she had a gift card. Neither of us will ever use this place again. We did get to sit down quickly in a pedicure chair. But then we sat there for at least 20 minutes. The pedicure itself took less than 10 minutes. They constantly tried to upsell us. Even at the very end with nail art. Cost was $15 for basic pedicure. That is a standard rate around here but I've never had a pedicure take less than 10 minutes. Also, I have never had anyone pinch or pull my nails like this woman did. Also, no base coat. I will return to my regular place for the next pedicure- Busy Nails less than 5 minutes west of here on MLK. Not recommended at all. read more

Well, I went a few weeks ago and had a very uncomfortable experience since my nail tech was extremely rude but she did good work. I went again hoping maybe the first time she's might be in a better mood and be civil. Nope. The first time going I was told what I wanted would be $65 and I thought that was a little high so she took $5 off. Rather than go look for another place I just went ahead and did it. She was okay before I mentioned the price, then she was not only rude but was speaking their language with the tech sitting next to her and then look right at me and chuckle. Multiple times. I didn't even want a pedicure because I just wanted out of there. Gave her another shot but she must have remembered me and was still rude. Paid now $50 for a FILL and 4 nails with an easy design! On top of of it a customer walked in she new and she says "Oh HI so and so! How are you!" So she had a personality after all and was full capable of being decent to another human being.I needed a pedi because I've been working 7 days a week since the end of July and haven't had them done. I asked her how much they were, she said "twenty.". So when I went to the chair, the tech was friendly, which I was so relieved, and handed me a menu to pick out a scent and it was $30. I said, I thought it was $20? She said yes but that's just normal pedi. I said ok then yes that's what I want. Instantly, ATTITUDE as well! Are you serious?? She didn't say 2 words after that and just looked out the windows while doing my feet. She scrubbed very little on my heels and then proceeded to the lotion. I asked isn't she going to scrape them? With an attitude she said, Well do you want that? I said I don't know, do I need it?? (I would think I would after a month and a half straight on my feet) She quickly said No you dont need it and looked back out the window putting the lotion on. When I got home i looked at the bottom of my feet and the heels and they are dry and cracked everywhere. I gave them almost $200 in 2 lousy trips and was made to feel so uncomfortable and lesser of a person! I'm not working 7 days a week to be treated like that. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and most people wouldn't. Now I'm convinced. If you don't spend a lot of money (which I'm think $200 is) then they make a point to make you feel like you're cheap. I'm sorry, what the hell happened to getting a full set for $20 and maybe $15 for design and $20 for a pedi and they're more than happy to do it for you?? It's kind of clean, it's cramped and usually crowded, however a place that is always busy is not always a good indication of a great business. This was the place that I stuck with for a while after moving to the area on a recommendation from a local, but after my last visit I am done here and will never go back again. They raised their prices by $10.00 three times consecutively for similar, the same, or even lesser services. I've paid $50.00 for tips with a special order, I've paid $45.00 for mani-pedi with design, and $35.00 for a straight polish and fill in. Make up your mind. The sign on the wall means nothing more or less than the "and up" they use as a reference as an add on to get you. They act the gel is magical. Gel isn't anything special. They sell it in Walmart for $9.00 for Christ's sake. They shuffle you around between people and the girl I loved has unfortunately moved on. Amy was the best technician they had. When she was still there I was happy, not anymore. It's shady, the prices are gouged, it's become a revolving door type service that is sub-par. The last time I went, I asked for tips, I got nothing because they forgot and I got excuses and half hearted apologies apparently because she had already put the gel on my natural nail before double checking. I think she was just too lazy to do anything out of the ordinary. I speak a little Vietnamese, Thai, and Korean... If you get the feeling they're talking about you? They are. (Thnói sau lng, nói xuai) This time, unfortunately, I got Kate. It looked like a three year old painted my design. I did not get anything more than a polite argument and excuses when I asked for what I wanted. The design was TERRIBLE. It was one of the most horrible designs, and the worst gel work I've seen so far and I've been getting my nails done for over 25 years now. It was lumpy, laid on way too thick, and I ended up paying through the nose for the extra polish. $66.00 for gel mani-pedi? What do they think they're in NYC charging that much? There is nothing I hate more than when a once good, decent business gets shotty, greedy, and lazy. It's a shame. I'll miss the girl who used to do my nails but without her, I'm not interested in anything left there. It's a horrible place. Not to mention, don't bring cranky infants with you when you get your nails done. I'm sorry you don't have a sitter, but I go to a nail salon to relax. Wanted to try this place out since it had good reviews but I was surly disappointed. I'm a very passive person I don't give off any attitude but the customer service here was bad. The man doing my nails got kinda bothered when I told him I just wanted gel on my natural nails, he kept asking me "are you sure you don't want a full set" after I had already made up my mind about wanting them natural but yet he kept insisting. I waited an hour just so he could half ass my nails. Came out clumpy and ugly and he didn't even take his time. I would honestly not recommend.
