She asked me what look I was going for and did an amazing job, even helping me make my eyes look more even by filling in certain areas more. I'm now driving out to Los Feliz to keep her; when I'm in a busy period, I'm able to go 5+ weeks with my lashes still looking good enough to be out in public. (I don't wear eye makeup, which helps them last longer.) I've been to other people who do a poor job and then the lashes start to fall out the first week.

I received a blowout here, and unfortunately, the heat used during the service left my hair with a strong burnt odor and noticeable split ends. I have tape-in extensions that were already chemically processed to a ginger color, so appropriate heat care was especially important. Based on the condition of my hair afterward, I was very concerned about heat damage. I contacted the salon to explain the situation and requested a refund because I did not feel comfortable returning for a corrective service or having additional heat applied to my hair. My request was denied, and I found the response to my concerns dismissive and unprofessional. I was also concerned that, during our phone conversation, the stylist who performed my service falsely represented himself to me as the location manager. I have since escalated my concerns through the appropriate corporate channels. Mistakes can happen, but I believe how a business responds to a customer's concerns is equally important. Based on my experience, I would recommend exercising caution if you have extensions or chemically processed hair.

But I'm not here to rate that, I'm here to tell you how amazing my experience was with Art. The salon is absolutely beautiful with lots of windows and light, plants and of course, ART. His other clients that were either getting a cut or waiting for their partner to finish, couldn't stop raving about the experience I'm about to have. I already felt at ease and excited for my turn to be transformed! Once seated, Art took time to look at my hair and asked me lots of questions that I am always uncomfortable answering... like, "what would you like me to do with your hair?" ... My response is always the same, "I have no idea, I'll leave it to you." I guess that was enough of an answer because I left with one of the best haircuts I've ever had. He took his time, he ensured that he "debulked" my hair on top, and he made sure I felt satisfied before I left. He commented on the color of my hair, which is salt and pepper, for which I cannot give him credit... that took my own dose of confidence to let my color grow out and go naturally gray. Art is pleasant, funny, kind, and entertaining, all while being a talented stylist. This experience left me incredibly happy knowing that I have a hair salon and stylist to go back to as soon as my hair is unruly and I need a few laughs at the same time.
