She immediately understood what I wanted--at one point, I just made a curtain bangs-like motion with my hands and she got it right away. She also took the time to study the reference picture I brought and asked how closely I wanted to follow it. She checked in about the length, whether I wanted it shorter, and suggested soft layers so the cut would not look flat.
