Amazing staff and top of the line well maintained tanning equipment. OK so tbh not the most glitzy or state of the art tanning purveyor I've ever been to. But that's not saying much, well, actually it's saying a lot because I've been to those places yet I choose to tan here. The staff is friendly yes but more importantly they are knowledgeable about the items from which they make their daily bread. And that's HUGE. They change bulbs frequently and know a lot beyond the differences between UV's... although I've been to some salons that can't even say that much for themselves. My 6 month of my spray tan package had just run out of the 6 month mark and I asked her to just give me the courtesy of the one last tan on my package, since it had literally just expired. I'm a tanning connoisseur & I can say that maximum tanning has the best quality beds around. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. They also sell bikinis, lip balms, tanning lotions, and other kinds of merchandise for a low price. The bikini I'm wearing in the photo I've attached was only $15. Came here for a spray tan before my trip to Vegas. The last time (and first time) I got spray tanned was a few years ago. I purchased a 3 spray package for a better discount and they had me in the system. Super easy, made an appointment a few days ahead of time. I was able to go in and out within 30 mins. Bailey was friendly and made me feel comfortable. I told her I wanted a little But darker then last time and she delivered. I was a bit nervous how it would turn out since it was over 90 degrees and I was sweating! There was a few spots that weren't quite dry and rubbed off. Luckily it turned out okay. My feet were a bit dark but nothing too bad. Overall I'd definitely opt for this over a machine spraying me or doing it myself. read more

Beware... severe burns from beds. Spoke to the owner today who said he was proud that his bed was so strong that it caused me to have severe burns and had to go to the hospital. I have been tanning for 10 years and have never had severe burns from any Bay Area, Los Angeles, or Vegas tanning salon during that time. I asked him to rectify the issue and he said that he refused and it was my fault for using their beds and that the problem with America today is that the customer expects too much. The owner then said that he has been in business for 16 years and that he doesn't care if someone gets burned and he's willing to take the risk, that his business will never get shut down for the people that get burned in his beds. He refused to give a refund and told me so what, go ahead and sue him, that he will never get caught. Warning... do NOT go here! Please contact me if you also have been burned. A class action lawsuit will finally shut this place down as this owner, Kenny, should not be in the tanning business. BEAUTIFULLY BRONZED Until two summers ago I spent a lot of time both in the sun and in tanning beds. I didn't want to tan at all last summer because I was getting married and wanted a more natural look in my pictures, and I missed the glowing color of my already lightly olived skin tone. So when I recently saw an Amazon Local offer for Maximum Tanning - unlimited one-month package, a smile curled up at the corners of my mouth. The price was right and the location is walking distance from my work. I've been trying to think of reasons to take a short lunch break everyday so that I'm not sitting in one place for eight hours. This was perfect. I bought the same package for my husband and told him that he had a month of lunch dates lined up with me. We've gone in several times in the last two weeks and am sooo happy with my color already. We're only using the low-pressure beds, and only for no more than 10 minutes at a time. (Husband is going for 6 minutes now, but working up to 10) :) I have a picture of me from two years ago and I'd like to get back into that shape again - with the same skin tone/tan. So I use that as my gym/tan motivation. There is actually an entire store up front (Max Muscle) with supplements and products that would probably be useful to me but I haven't looked into this yet. They don't make appointments for tanning, but we've only had a short wait a couple of the times we've gone in. The staff are really friendly and there is a comfortable waiting area with magazines. There are two low-pressure beds and you can tan for up to 20 minutes in them. They also have high-pressure and spray tanning options. They sell clothing and it's all under $30.00. I've seen a couple of adorable bikinis and some great shorts - the selection is a little limited but it's cute stuff. Yesterday there was a long dress that I had my eye on and my husband bought it for me after I had left and surprised me with it later in the day. One of the girls working was helpful in getting the right size for me when he asked what she thought. The big thing for me about this place is cleanliness. The beds are clean, which is really important when you're getting naked in a community tanning bed. Some places I've been miss details like cleaning the top part of the bed, where you push the bed open when you're done. If youre using an accelerator, it leaves marks and it's nice to see this area has been clean every time I've been in. I've used the restroom once and it was clean as well. Customer service from Anthony is stellar. Alina was the sweetest employee but sadly she doesn't work there anymore. Now they have hired some replacements, but i hope they can get some nicer/friendlier replacements eventually. The staff really makes the experience so its important to me as a customer. Bring your own goggles for bed tans or purchase at the counter. The stand up has new bulbs and I got amazing color. They have a good selection of tanning lotions that are very reasonably priced! Great service. Clean beds. Friendly staff. I'm pretty fair but they have several different styles of beds so you can pick what pressure you want, which is awesome for me, since I am pale and really cannot for in for long with the high pressure tanning bulbs. I'd come out a lobster. Sometimes you have to wait a short bit for a bed to become available, but I have never had to wait more that 10minutes. Not a big deal at all. I stumbled on this place when I came in for supplements. I had a great experience with their staff when making a purchase so I decided to come back for a tan since I've been feeling super pale! I purchased a spray tan package and booked an appointment to come for a spray tan before a company party. The girl that did my tan was really sweet and professional. My tan lasted for weeks and I was really pleased with the color, which she custom mixed for me! I visited Maximum tanning for a spray tan. Getting naked in front of a complete stranger (especially someone as pretty as Kathryn) is a very hard thing to do when you are sober! Kathryn made me feel at ease and took her time to explain what the process was and what my spray tan outcome would be. The pricing was very reasonable and parking was easy. I was also told how long the spray tan would last and what I could do to keep the effects for as long as possible. I am a fan, will recommend friends to try it out and will be back again. read more
