It surely wasn't Rose who microbladed my eyebrows, or these reviews aren't all related to this service. I never had microblading done before and was drawn to Rose for these high reviews. What a mistake. She never asked about any recent Botox treatments until she started working on the first brow and only then said that my results may not be even since it was done ~3 weeks ago! I was taken aback from the pain. When I had my eyebrows touched up elsewhere to even them out and improve the appearance, I was told that everything that shouldn't be done was done on my eyebrows, including that they were cut too deeply! I'm so relieved that I found someone who could fix my eyebrows, which wasn't painful at all. I would never recommend Rose for any microblading for her poor communication and lack of artistry! read more

It has been well over a week since I found Rose on Yelp, walked in for a consultation for a trim, left mortified with a heavily layered haircut...and I'm still gravely unhappy with my hair. I can't stand the sight of it, so ponytails are my new norm. I went to Kinder's yesterday and noticed Great Clips next door, so I went in wondering their rates and how much the stylist would need to trim in order to achieve a blunt cut. I didn't tell the stylist about my horrendous experience with Rose, rather I asked how much length would need to be taken off to achieve what I wanted. That is when the stylist said "your hair is really layered in the back, so I'm thinking up to two inches to be safe." She showed me exactly what she would take off and even let me take a picture to make sure we were on the same page. I genuinely hate my current length, so there's no way I'm going shorter, but I appreciate the stylist's transparency and wholeheartedly regret going to Beauty by Rose instead of Great Clips. Yes, I am comparing Beauty by Rose to Great Clips. And yes, I spend a lot of money on my hair (I had my hair highlighted and toned recently by my go-to stylist at an entirely different salon...cost me $400). I went to Rose because her overall Yelp rating is solid and because she has one "$" sign on her profile. I didn't have a say in getting my hair done by her, as she literally started cutting my hair without my permission. I hate the cut she gave me and to make matters worse I paid $100 for it - Rose's starting price for haircuts is ~$85, fyi - not cheap. It should also be noted that Rose waited until after she butchered my hair to tell me that she doesn't do hair - she limits herself to haircuts and updos - brows and makeup are her specialties. If you are looking for a good, affordable hair stylist, AVOID ROSE! If being listened to and respected is of value to you, AVOID ROSE! I truly cannot express how deeply I detest my hair and how disappointed I am. I hate my haircut SO much! Save yourself the time, money and agony and find another salon. Heck, go to Great Clips instead. Go anywhere but Beauty by Rose. read more
