Where do I even begin?! I used to be that girl that wore fake eyelashes everyday. I wouldn't even go to the store without them! This review is long overdue! I've been seeing Shani for years for microdermabrasion and eyebrow and eyelash dying. First of all, I've had microdermabrasion at several spas and nothing compares to Shani's treatments. She's gentle but thorough and after the micro my skin looks and feels amazing. My skin is super sensitive and I trust her to know the best way to treat it without irritation, every time. She's super gentle with the eyebrow and eyelash dying as well and my color always lasts for a good amount of time. It's really hard to get your eyelashes dyed without burning your eyes and somehow Shani manages to do so with zero burning. Overall, Shani is very knowledgable and makes you feel incredibly comfortable and relaxed. Not to mention, she's super friendly and every time I see her, I really enjoy catching up. Shani is the ONLY person I trust with my skin. She has an incredible, gentle, relaxing touch and getting a facial from her is a truly transporting experience. I have a compulsive skin picking disorder which means that I often have scabs, hyper pigmentation, and irritated bumps. I have been seeing Shani since my skin-picking got out-of-hand when I was fourteen, it's been six years now and I have never walked out not feeling completely amazed. My skin always looks and feels much better and I get a huge feeling of relief knowing that my skin, which is so often abused by me, is in the hands of a professional who knows exactly how to help it heal. After I get a facial from her, I see the benefits in my skin for the next two weeks at least. Also, knowing that she's doing gentle and proper extractions (don't worry you NEVER leave looking red and chicken-pox-y) helps me to curb my own urge to pick at my skin. I have very sensitive skin and can use very few products as many break me out or irritate my skin, so finding a facials who I love and whose products I trust is really lucky. I could not recommend her more highly. (I'm listing the price as moderate. Personally, for an hour facial I feel her rate is completely reasonable considering just how good she is and just how high-quality the products she uses are. I have known Shani for over 12 years and have had countless amazing experiences with her. I have learned so many ways to help my skin myself as well. For the past several years, there has been only one person I trust with my lash extensions and that's Shani. She expertly handles my lashes and the result is long, natural, Bambi looking lashes. She applies them lash by single lash and mixes the lengths she uses to mirror how your own natural lashes would grow. I've tried another salon and I was in and out in 20 minutes. I should have known to run. Never again. My "quick" lashes were clumpy and unnatural and looked like a poorly applied strip. Shani on the other hand works efficiently but not so quick that you sacrifice quality and care. She is an artist with her beauty services.
