Oh Heavenly waxing....It's actually pretty weird how I found this business (on yelp looking at a review for another business), but I'm glad I did. The location is on Ventura Blvd. in Studio City, and the salon is amazing. I called to make a same day appointment, and Yvonne was able to take me later that day (Yayy). When I arrived she greeting me and asked if I wanted any refreshments (nice). I then walked upstairs to see beautiful décor and an overall nice salon with am amazing spa-feel. Yvonne made sure I was comfortable every step of the way. I got a Brazilian wax and instead of the harsh soft wax, she uses the hard wax just like European wax center, but better!! I swear by this woman.....Yvonne is HANDS DOWN the BEST lady of wax EVER! I mean she is soooo precise it's ridiculous. I get compliments on my eyebrows all the time. This review is long overdue. I went to Yvonne a few months ago and let me tell you, she is THE BEST! It was my first time seeing her as my old gal closed her salon. I stumbled on this business on Yelp and decided to try it out because you can't deny a business with reviews that are all 5 stars!! Not sure if another reviewer mentioned this little tid bit, but Yvonne's waxing studio is actually located inside Krystal Salon. I wasn't aware of this until Yvonne mentioned it to me when I made my appointment. But, no big deal. Parking can be a bit problematic because it is located right on Ventura. I was able to find street parking on a little street behind the salon, but that's probably because it was a Thursday afternoon during rush hour. Yvonne later told me that I could use the restaurant valet for the salon as well. Not sure which she was talking about cuz there's a restaurant to the west of the salon and also a valet for Lemonade which is to the east, but I guess it wouldn't hurt to ask the next time I'm there. Since it was my first time, Yvonne was waiting for me downstairs in the salon waiting area to greet me. How great is that?! So personal! I loved her energy from the start! She walked me upstairs and said that for future appointments, I could just walk myself upstairs, but since it was my first, she wanted to make sure to greet me and show me the way! I'm a sucker for good customer service cuz I've worked in that industry for most of my working life, so I know how crucial it is to one's experience. She didn't rush the waxing at all. She thoroughly examined it and made sure that I was satisfied and was telling me about ingrowns making sure all the ingrowns that were "ready" to be extracted were extracted. I've been seeing Yvonne for a Brazilian wax (eyebrows and lip too) for several years now but I wish I had found her sooner! I've been to many others and she is by far the best! She uses hard wax, no double dipping and her technique makes it the least painful that I've ever experienced! She is also is very sweet and personable and makes you feel very comfortable. Yvonne is amazing!!! I had tried brazilians twice before in my lifetime and each time I thought I was going to die and swore never to return. I was told by a friend that hard wax was much less painful than regular waxing. I tried the bees wax before which came highly recommended as well but was still horrified by the amount of pain and irritation afterwards so I was doubtful. When I tried Yvonne, she was very sweet and walked me through the process and guided me through the pain level to expect. It was Much better and my second time was mostly bearable. I have Very sensitive skin so usually I get bumps and irritation after the waxing.
