I've always been somewhat afraid to get my eyebrows waxed because of the pain I experienced in a previous threading experience (with another business), but my experience with Trisha was totally different. Trisha did the make-up and hair for my friends wedding and recommended that i go to her to get my hair cut. So i called and made an appointment at the salon where she works at. The first thing she asked when i came in was if i wanted anything to drink. But i had already bought a drink before coming into the salon. So i took a pass on the drink. I came in just to get a haircut but when i got there she was offering a promotion for first time clients. Lip and eyebrow wax for $15! It was a great deal and on the plus side Trisha was trained and has experience in working at Anastasia (a celebrity brow expert) so i knew i was in good hands. During the shampoo and conditioning she gave my head a massage. I almost fell asleep at the hair washing basin! haha. While washing my hair she asked if i wanted to put some type of toner in my hair that will make my hair look shiny and healthy...ummm...YES PLEASE!!! My hair was in need of that! haha (i straighten and or blow dry my hair almost everyday) The toner also helped blend my old highlights (i'm growing out my hair to it's original color) During the cutting process she was asking me questions about what i wanted so i was reassured and felt pretty comfortable that the end result would be what i wanted. Which it was. My haircut came out great! After blow drying there was bounce in my hair and a nice healthy shine! I have been coming to Trisha for hair and makeup for quite sometimes now and I can say that she is truly talented in her profession. The first job I hired her for was for makeup for a wedding. At first I was a little hesitant to hire her because I was not sure what to expect. I was a bridesmaid at a wedding and she was doing makeup for myself and the maid of honor. I am anal when it comes to people doing my hair and make up. I am glad that she offered a trial run before the wedding day. On the day of she commuted to the place where it was held and did our makeup there. I was still nervous how out makeup would come out. She made me and the maid of honor feel comfortable and reassured us that everything would turn out to be just fine. She made small talk to help us ease our worries and also gave us a few pointers about makeup application along the way. She explained everything she was applying on our face and which brands were being applied. And after everything was completed, I can truly say that I was amazed at her work. The pictures came out perfect and even more than I had expected. A couple of years later I learned that she was into hair. I decided to give it a try because I already trusted her and I already felt comfortable with her. I had a haircut, color, and the Brazilian blowout done. I had read many reviews before about hair falling out and some people even going bald because of the Brazilian blowout process. I've always went to nail salons to wax my eyebrows and I always come out disappointed. It was cheap but amateur quality for $7. When I found Trisha Kwan on yelp, I decided to try her out with all the positive reviews. Yeah it is double the amount for an eyebrow wax but she does an excellent job that accommodates your face shape and structure. She constantly asks you how thick you want it or how thin. She gives great advices about makeup and whatnot. After she's done, she conceals and fills for you so that your eyebrows don't look all red like a chimp. $15 for an eyebrow wax, but very well worth it. I stumbled upon this place and made an appointment with Trisha to get my hair cut. She was so friendly and professional at the same time. I never felt rushed like I normally do with other stylist. Came here today for a brow wax because i was heading out to vacay tomorrow. First thing when i walked in everyone greeted me and they were all very pleasant. They offered me something to drink and i kindly declined. However, when they offer me some fancy chocolate i quickly took up that offer. Then see had me sign in and in the room in not time. She was so nice and gentle. She gave me a mirror for me to hold the entire time to allow me to see what was going on. Unlike other places i've been to, it was almost painless. I hate tweezing the most but I literally did not feel her tweezing at all! Most place will allow you to leave all red and oily, but not Trisha! She put on this soothing lotion thingy on my skin and it felt smooth and after that she used a concealer to cover the redness! I'm telling you she is AMAZING! When I was done, I was getting ready to pay and I really wanted to get my lips done too. So i was like what the heck, I'm already here I might as well. So i told her and she was more than happy to do it for me! I was scared cause it was my first time !
