I was referred to Tam/Tamara, I messaged her and sent her an inspo pic and what my hair looked like , said she could get my hair lifted and higher, then took a whole week 7 DAYS to respond back to my follow up questions! 7 days waiting for a response, I should have seen that as a red flag , then again replied and took another 3 days to respond . And her excuse was she was busy... like common you were doing my hair and when you weren't you were just on your phone, actions speak for themselves... then on the day of appointment she asks if I can schedule an hour later because she's running late. My time is as valuable and much more than you just for being a mom. She asks if i can show her my inspo pics, i pull them show them to her, we talk about how blonde I want to achieve without damaging my hair much then immediately starts foiling my whole hair, I stop her and tell her that it's not what i want, I ask for baby highlights all over my hair, leaving Yes, she has to weave my whole hair and yet she still continues to foil my hair as if we didn't discuss anything. We get to the washing part the rinsing part and tell her immediately I don't like my hair there's too much darkness, I had to keep explaining what I wanted because why!? I thought she was a blonde specialist and knows what the customer me wanted from the inspo pics. Translation from pictures is obvious. She said she can fix it and there she goes again and rebleaches my hair, like seriously no care for my fragile hair and damaging it more then needed to begin with. At the end i check my hair all over, yes she got it blonder but was it necessary to reprocess my hair again. NO! To top it off I still had harsh lines and I o brought it up, just to be asked if I wanted to go darker!? Seriously!? What a waste of day and time! I spent 10 hrs there when my hair should have been done in the 6 hours. Still asking if I wanted to go darker!? No ! Do your job efficiently and right the first time. I left with harsh lines and over processed hair, and she calls herself a blonde specialist. Yeah you charge the price of a blonde specialist which I don't mind paying if the job was correctly done! But you definitely did not deserve my money! Lemma , you should be embarrassed for having your assistant refer me out to someone as professional as yourself.

I think I texted her on a Friday for a Sunday afternoon appointment as I wanted to treat my mom to get her makeup done for a wedding we were attending as guests. Nathaly primarily (only?) works out of her studio in West Covina, so she won't be able to travel to you, but that worked out fine for us as we lived close by. Her studio has just enough natural light, was kept well-air conditioned, and very clean. I appreciate that she didn't rush and stopped periodically while doing your makeup to make sure she was meeting what you were looking for. I've had makeup artists look at my reference photos and give me something completely different, so I felt very heard and respected in my wishes. My mom does not wear makeup (like ever) and English isn't her first language, but Nathaly was really friendly and still made her feel very comfortable as she was doing her makeup. She made sure my mom was able to get the coverage/look she wanted while not overdoing it and she hit it out of the park! Lastly, her prices were very reasonable and transparent! I like that she publicizes her pricing so you know ahead of time vs having to reach out and ask. Logistics - From the beginning, Michelle was very clear and professional when providing information regarding price and services (ie location, travel time, number of girls needing services/artists needed etc.) After I booked with her, it was very easy to communicate on my vision. She would ask questions and for inspiration photos to make sure we're on the same page. She also did the same thing for my bridesmaids and mothers (which I have never experienced as a bridesmaid in previous weddings). We all sent her pictures and inspirations so when the day came Michelle and her team were familiar and ready. Regarding scheduling, she sent a preliminary schedule based on my ready by timeline and was accommodating to adjust when my schedule changed the week before the wedding day. All in all, even though I was nervous about the overall wedding planning process, when it came to hair and makeup, Michelle put me at ease through the planning, and I knew I was able to be confident and relaxed when the big day is here! In terms of the actual makeup and hair styles - The amount of care and detail Michelle has for her craft really comes through. I did a trial with her before my wedding day, and we started the trial based off the inspirations I sent her. However, as we all know every girl's feature is different and the makeup style may work on one person but not the other, and, Michelle really takes this into consideration. As the trial went on, she would explain and adjust each step, making sure the style is what I'm looking for and is also fitting to me. As for my hair, she listened and knew what to do when I described what I wanted. And the best part is, my makeup stayed all the way from 1pm through 3am. That's more than 12 hours! And I even kept my hair through the next day and it still stayed. :D SO, in summary/TLDR: Michelle was super helpful through the planning process. She has glammed me up for family photos, graduation photos, weddings, and countless other special events, and she has never disappointed.
