Today, it has been 3 days since we got the tattoo and although the tattoo itself is small, has fine lines, and is on the wrist, it appears as if it has a smear/smudge on one of the corners on both tattoos. This isn't my first tattoo, and my husband and I have been following the after care and have been careful. It's on the healing stage, but you can tell that the corner line differs and there is a smudged area on both tattoos. For both these it was $240 total and done by Chris. I will update this review once the tattoos heal completely.

Then, two weeks ago, I woke up from a dream in which Rob's name was being tattooed on my arm. I knew immediately that I needed a memorial tattoo. With Rob's 79th birthday approaching--my first without him since he turned 30--I was dreading it. Yet somehow, I knew I needed to receive the tattoo on that day. In my dream, Rob's name was written in English, but I wanted his name and my message to remain private--cryptic. Our son suggested Sanskrit for the text because Rob felt honored and privileged to spend several years in Mumbai teaching the Method to drama and film students in Bollywood. Sanskrit! An ancient language of India, considered one of the oldest languages in the world. Perfect! Then I found artist Joon Thomas, an expert in calligraphy from around the world. Using Devanagari script for the Sanskrit, he translated, designed, and penned two tattoos for me--one featuring Rob's name and the other bearing a message. I was overcome with joy when I first saw Joon's exquisite calligraphy! But then came the challenge of finding the perfect tattoo artist to bring it to life. With so many talented artists in Los Angeles, I turned to AI for help finding someone with experience working with non-Latin scripts. It led me to Cacho, whose fine-line precision matched what I was looking for above all else. And then--kismet. Cacho had an opening on Rob's birthday! The moment Cacho welcomed me into his studio, my pre-tattoo anxiety dissolved. I was immediately struck by his warmth and by the genuine appreciation he had for Joon's calligraphy. Collaboration is clearly a priority for Cacho, and his patience is astounding. I asked him repeatedly to adjust the sizes and reposition the images until everything felt exactly right, and he never once made me feel rushed. Having Cacho tattoo my Sanskrit text was a spiritual experience. I was entranced by his steady hand as he brought my words to life on my inner forearms. He captured every nuance of the calligraphy with extraordinarily delicate, precise strokes. I floated out of Cacho's studio. I am mesmerized by these delicate works of art on my arms--timeless expressions of my heart and proclamations of my eternal love for my soulmate. Cacho took something deeply personal and translated it into art that I will carry with me for the rest of my life. He inked it flawlessly, delicately, and indelibly.
