HORRIBLE HORRIBLE SERVICE, CUSTOMER SERVICE IS HORRIBLE. first and foremost, the owner went into my purse to grab extra tip after she stopped me from leaving because she wanted her pedicurist to receive more than $5 tip. i had told her i didn't have anymore cash because what u did have was for other expenses, I opened my bag to see what else i had and she took a $10 she saw straight out my bag. My nails are chipping after 3 days and i have Gel on. Secondly, i got over charged for my service. I've gone here before and never got charged as much as i did in this trip. My pedicure got cut short for one because the owner was rushing to get my lashes done. I asked for a hologram design and was just given a square of it that doesn't cover my full name, i asked for more and she added some glitter pieces that STILL did not cover my full nail. With the price i paid i expected a service that's way more respectable and at least expected a Good Job to be done but i was left disappointed. Great salon, they did a nice job on my nails and toes, but just a little pricier than expected.

First time in this nail salon 6/25/16. Came for Saturday morning Pedi with my sister. The place was not crowded, about 4 people inside. The nail polish is sitting on a table making it hard to choose. A back wall has a large selection of polishes with a makeshift sign informing you of the up-charge to use the "non-toxic" polish. The ladies working in the salon are accommodating. I showed my lady a pic with 3 different polish colors I wanted to use. When she asked what order to put the colors we were rudely interrupted by, who I learned later was the manager named Heather, not to help with my request, but to tell me she's charging me extra for using her polish. My sister asked her tech to scrub the bottom of her foot again because she missed a few spots. Once again rudely interrupted by the "manager" storming through the salon, saying my sister needs to pay $10 extra dollars to have her foot scrubbed because the woman had already scrubbed her feet...???? Heather made our experience very unpleasant. She was unprofessional and rude. The messiness of the salon, lack of color choice and inexperience of the staff aren't the only things that are going to keep my sister and I away... Heather's lack of etiquette has most definitely achieved that. read more

I had an nail appointment on 11/01/2020 at 11:00am I arrived at 10:45am and was taken right away, for a pedicure , LIVA the nail technician was fabulous! She did an awesome job on my feet, the place is quiet and clean and they take all the precautions during this time of the covid to make sure ppl are safe ..... HEATHER the owner did my DIP POWDER SET... she takes her time and very precise on doing your nails she did an amazing!! Job on my nails!! I will be a regular customer from now on!!! Decent spot to get your nails done! Every shop on Grand St in Mt Vernon seems to be of the same quality so I tried this one for the first time. Messy place overall, the stylist had to uncover her desk from mail and polish and samples just to tend to me. But I was seen immediately upon walking in. Got a gel mani and it looked great!! Lasted 2.5 weeks perfectly before one nails got slightly damaged. But Im quite impressed with how well it has lasted! Still wearing it, pic is after 2.5 weeks. read more

I used to love this place, but I don't plan to return. I decided before going to Las Vegas that I would get a wax, a pedicure and a manicure. Lupe did the wax and did a good job of it, very thorough. I assumed she would take care of the rest of my services because I know that she's a great nail tech. I was very confused and disappointed that she switched me off to someone else who I had never seen before in the salon. This has happened several times at this salon in particular as well some other salons I've gone to. I feel like it is a way to get more tips and money into the salon but it's something I really dislike. This young woman who did my mani/pedi did a terrible job. I asked for a massage for my legs and feet but she did not do anymore than the regular pedicure massage which is usually about five minutes. From the picture you'll also see that she left a huge gash in my toe. Unfortunately, I didn't notice how bad it was until I took a shower later and the water hit it. I was going on vacation the next day and definitely had a harder time walking through the airport because my toe hurt from the gash in my toe. I consider myself lucky that I didn't get an infection. The nail tech was also very rough with my hands, jabbing me numerous times while clipping my cuticles. She also did not fully clean up my nail beds, which were in rough shape. The mani lasted almost 2 wks, and the pedi 2 also, which is below average from previous experiences. It's a shame because I used to really love coming here. Very dissatisfied with this place. I've been coming here for two years and a month ago I called the owner to schedule a gel filling extension. When I arrived I told her I changed my mind to just regular gel manicure and her response was "you should have told me because I could have taken someone else", I'm not sure what she meant but I felt sort of embarrassed and went against what I wanted and got the extension at $130! I came back 3 weeks later looking to get a gel maintenance as I have done so in the past and I was told it would be $85 due to the extension I had done before. However I was never told by the owner who did my extension that the maintenance would cost that, as I have seen before with her she tried to be smart on me just so she could make more money!!! Bad bad bad business, I've seen he lose my mother and my sister as customers because of her behavior and now she lost me as a loyal customer just because she was trying to get more money out of me in a disloyal way! Will not recommend this place nor will I ever come back. Obviously I walked right out and told them I'd go somewhere else. I had a horrible experience recently. I was pressured to pay for a tip and was reprimanded about " last time" not paying tip when I'm a regular customer that always tip. Do not come here..Me and my daughter came to get out nails and feet done and the experience was horrible...we got charged $315 for one pedicure and 2 uv nail manicures...let me tell you the story...when I walk in heather doesn't remember who I am..that's ok no problem she has been gone for almost a month and a half...we were 22 mins late I will admit that but we came...I started with my feet and my daughter started with Heather for her nails..the lady doing my feet was horrible she barely put callus remover on my feet and Barely scrubbed my heels..so when I started complaining about it being a half ass job aid she started talking shit in her language..no problem....then my daughter wanted a simple French manicure with pink tip...Heather-put her a song and dance about how her nails are to short and how it can be done..eventually she did it..by the way she charges her $135 for us gel and another 30 for the design..that is a rip off...then it was my turn I sit down and heather tells me it will be $125 for me to get a new up gel set instead of a fill for $65 becuase it's been over 3 weeks...so when I argued her down she said ok $90 for the fill in uv gel she had to do extra filing since it's over 2weeks..so I asked her why am I being charged extra she said becuase you waited over two weeks...never again will I go here read more

My first time experience at Beauty cafe Libia took care of my feet with great care. I had an appointment and I was taken care of right on time. Clean, quiet salon. Good service overall. I'm a usual client after months moving to this neighborhood. Really like the staff. Friendly and polite. Other than pedicure I also received a 60 minutes massage which was great and relaxing. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE. Unprofessional, RUDE. Clearly, these people don't know what "customer service is". I usually go to SUPERIOR nails down the street, but they were booked for the day so I came here. I inquired about the $49 60-min. massage special, and they said it was still available, so I made an appointment for a manicure, pedicure and massage. I was greeted by stares when I came in, and when I sat down for my pedicure, the girl who worked with me was too busy insulting me in Spanish. Little did she know that I understood, and I made a point to let her aware that I understood her. I stripped down for my massage, and while I was naked on the bed, the "therapists" goes on to say that the $49 massage was only for Swedish massage, and that I'd have to "pay more" for the deep tissue massage. So, I really wanted the massage...so I gave in and paid the extra $10. Wish I knew this when I inquired over the phone, otherwise I would've taken my services back to SUPERIOR NAILS! The whole entire experience was HORRIBLE. They were rude, too busy talking about you and other clients in Spanish. The pedicure took 10 mins. She basically just "washed" my feet and slapped on the nail polish, shooing my foot away when she means for me to dip my foot into the tub. She was rough and painful, I had to tell her (nicely) to be gentle plenty of times! I always leave a tip regardless of service but for this one: manicure, pedicure and 60 minute massage. I've been coming to this salon for about 3 months and the service was always good until recently I got my regular gel manicure which I've been getting for years and it last 2 weeks sometimes 3 and I happen to let someone else do my nails and in 2 days the polish started lifting up. I called the shop and the manager Heather who has always done my nails told me that I would have to pay for the repairs because there is no guarantee. Not even a measly I'm sorry, What kind of customer service is this? Gel manicures are suppose to last 2-3 weeks obviously something was not done right.I was livid!
