Sherrell is the best person I've had doing my waxes EVER! She's gentle (if you can be gentle when giving a wax), yet quick. She's knowledgeable about the products provided and she always has me laughing during my wax (which helps because it hurts, ya know?!) I prefer Waxing the City over other establishments. The wax they use is better and less harsh on my skin. I always get in and out in a reasonable time, and the customer service from the moment I walk in, to the minute I walk out, is always impeccable. It was a little hard to find but her daughter guided me there on the phone while I was lost. Initially it was a little off putting as I thought they might not be as sanitary because the wax was dark colored. I later found out she doesn't use wax but sugar. This process reduces irritation to the skin & is less painful. In my 35 years of life, I have only been waxed once when I was 19 for a pool party. I vowed never to do it again because of all the pain & skin irritation I experienced afterwards. There was minimal pain & absolutely no skin issues after this procedures. When I reflect upon my experience here, I initially dismissed how unsanitary the room was but I feel it's worth mentioning now. I had seen all the good reviews before going, and dismissed it while I was there, and I was in and out so quickly and I was mostly hairless after, so at FIRST I was like ok well she did a good job and it was fast. However the ingrowns nightmare came for me soon after despite me doing what I always do to prevent it, and years later I'm still embarrassed by the scars it left.
