I was initially very worried because I knew I would need a big chop since my hair was very damaged but Alicia gave me the perfect cut. For no reason. It's so awful I can't wear my hair down at all. Then made me pay for it at the end, when she knew she messed up. I had to call later and complain, and the owners would not call or speak to me directly. It will take me years to grow my hair back and has completely derailed my plans. read more

I was a long-time customer of this salon, but I'll never go back. Problems with the salon Large numbers of original staff have left in last year. It's always a red flag. Salon is increasing dirty and run down. See grates over shampoo bowls. They are very dirty and have never been cleaned in my years of going there even after mentioning them. Rarely rowels in bathrooms, etc. Deposit must be made for some appointments even from long-term reliable clients. You will get numerous emails and texts asking to confirm or lose deposit etc. Meanwhile, I have had appointments canceled on me last minute with no discounts, etc. When I was going to the rescheduled appointment, I was asked to come in later because she was overbooked. My inconvenience isn't worth anything, but their is. Not enough stylists. I have repeatedly had my stylist overbooked or left my service to finish another client's hair and left me to an apprentice stylist who has no idea about my hair. Even with a very expensive color service, no blow dry. So you can spend over 400 easy and no blow dry to see result unless you shell out another 40 dollars Constant price increases with worse service. The final straw for me was my last appointment a few hours before I left for my daughter's wedding. My stylist took another client and had my hair washed by someone else. I trusted it was ok and left with it wet ,not wanting to spend the extra money for a dry. It was purple. I called salon and was asked for a photo and told I would get a refund. The manager quit contact with me afterward and never heard anything, and I never received the refund . I had to pay to have the purple stripped at the wedding location. I've spent thousands here and can not believe the lack of care or customer service, especially for a regular client. Never again. read more

Worst Bangs Ever!!! I went in for a fringe trim and it's like the stylist took clippers to my bangs! I said many times that I "never straighten my hair and only round brush style my hair." So I said I wanted my bangs, when styled in that way, to hit at the start of my eyebrows at the shortest point and at my cheekbones at the longest. My hair in this picture is straightened from the salon and the shortest point is half an inch shorter than what I asked for and a full inch shorter at the longest point!! I'm so upset thinking how much shorter it will be when styled with a round brush. I showed a video of myself with bangs too where I had it styled how I liked and I showed exactly how long I wanted the bangs to be. I would think that an experienced stylist would know that hair shrinks up when you style with a round brush compared to when it's wet and to cut much longer to accommodate for that, especially when cutting bangs. The worst part is that the hair when straightened isn't even at the lengths I asked for. I wish I could get a refund. I feel so ugly and I don't know how long it will take this hair to grow back. I've had bangs cut many times & this is by far the worst because there's nothing I can even do to fix it. I will add though that the stylist herself was very sweet and kind. I'm not upset with her, just the haircut. I'm just really sad about how bad my hair looks. I wish she had told me where she was cutting or cut longer to see how it looked first. read more

Honestly, I've been debating writing this review. I had a great experience with Allie? Their receptionist, super to a after having had my hair appointment canceled somewhere else it was a breath of fresh air. Anyway, after placing a half deposit for my balayage appointment in two weeks time, I did more research on the salons work and got a little nervous. I figured I give it a try anyway. I arrived on time for my appointment and waited half an hour before my stylist started my hair. I had Alexis? As my stylist and was eager to see my hair complete as she showed a lot of confidence. I showed her the color I wanted and she did explain that I would need a foliage instead of balayage. So I said I'll stick to the balayage for cost and times sake. If I knew they wouldn't be able to get the color I wanted I would have canceled. However, since I had already paid half of the service already and they had a cancelation policy I proceeded. When she started on the balayage and when she got to my left side of the hair she went to one of her other customers and had to wash her hair. I get it, but it took nearly 25 minutes which definitely took a lot of time away from my hair getting processed evenly with bleach. Long story short, after my hair was finished I was highly disappointed with the results. You couldn't even tell my hair was colored. I have had my hair done yearly at salons and her balayage technique wasn't it. For the amount I paid and time I spent, I could have achieved the color I wanted for the same price and I'm from NY! Such a disappointment. My ends were barely lightened. I don't think she allowed it to process enough simply bc the salon was closing as my appointment was at 230 and we didn't start until 3ish. I also think the break she had to take to wash the other customers hair really took away from my processing. Overall, customer service is there but the talent definitely lacks. I dont know if its a one off thing but I'm so upset I will need to find a new salon and have to pay double because my hair looks the same from when I entered. read more

The hairdresser was a guy and he cut my hair way too short. We both decided on 3 inches and my hair was all the way to my back. He cut off around four years of growth for me so almost double of what I expected. Additionally, got stuck in the hairdryer and he proceeded to just cut it off without telling me so now I have split ends on the top of my head. I used to LOVE this place. I was part of the blowdry club. Basically you pay $100 for 4 blow dry services. The first time I got it, the owner sold it to me. I got it again because I thought it was a great deal and the staff has always been so nice. That was until I had the misfortune to speak to Rachel over the phone. She wasn't very nice. Extremely rude and patronizing. I called to schedule my last blowdry and I asked for Saturday. She said the blowdry club is only Monday-Friday, to which I respond with "I was there last Saturday." She of course, as patronizing as you can be just repeated what she had just said then asked for my phone number, put the phone down, came back and said "we are gonna do it this one last time but for the future is only Monday-Friday." I responde to "that's fine. This is new information and I just won't go back." And of course Rachel with a great attitude responded "oh that's fine." You don't care to loose customers? Ok. Avery was communicative, great service, & she made sure i was okay throughout the entire service. Edit Salon has such a nice, inviting environment so i never feel awkward like i do at other salons. I have been to toni and guy consistently for 3 years now. Laurabeth is my hair goddess! In 2018 and 2019 she has given me 2 sets of perms which I loved. Recently I went in after growing out my hair and got a balayage. She was so kind to let me know what I could and could not do since I couldn't put any bleach in my hair due to having a perm prior. She didn't want my hair to become damaged. All in all, despite these chemical processes my hair integrity has always been 100%. -with my recent haircut I had it done by David. I previously went to another hair stylist at another shop, no more! David is my man! He gave me exactly what I wanted and cut a fringe that suited my face (the bangs suggested by Laurabeth). I am absolutely beyond pissed. I literally came on time to my appointment (10am) and of course the hair stylist lives across the town and will not be showing up. I was willing to wait for her to come but the receptionist said she's not going to try to come see me but will for her next appointment instead. Maybe it's just my bad luck but that's completely unprofessional and unacceptable especially if you are trying to build up your clientele. The one star because she did try to offer to squeeze me in at the end of the day and stay later but that's a big difference in time. We make appointments for a reason. Showing y'all the journey of my hair at EDIT Salon! It'll be almost a year since I got my hair colored by Odaliz. I went blonde and then let my hair grow out. You can see in the second pic of how beautifully it transitioned during the fall and winter. I did a touch-up before winter btw. Focused on money pieces and baby lights to frame my face. Dyed it again to achieve a mushroom color in spring. Grew out my hair again and I've cut it at least 4-5x within that time period up until now. In November I wanted to go brunette but warmer, with a bit of a lighter tone, in between brown and chocolate brown. Honestly I was indecisive as I was open to anything, but Odaliz delivered once again. Every single time there's been a change, I've always received compliments. In fact, during my Colorado trip in 2021, someone asked me where I got my hair done. TEXAS BABY. Odaliz has always been wonderful and great to talk to. She is very informative throughout the session and the products used. Also, for anyone getting their hair colored, please try to understand that wet hair is always going to look different. I was extremely unhappy with my highlights done by the owner Rachel Hay. It was sloppy and uneven and I was charged $333 dollars plus a 20 dollar tip for her. When I told her I wanted the unevenness to be fixed she blocked me on Instagram ( how we communicated for appointments ) if this doesn't tell you something about a person and a business owner I don't know what will. Please don't waste your money here, it's really not worth it. It's extremely high priced and never once did she mention to me how much it would be. Waste of my money and waste of my time. I will call the Better Business Bureau and report her and her business. No one should be able to do this to someone. Shame on you Rachel Hay. read more

Front desk Customer service: 1/5 Hair style/service: 5/5 If NAOMI picks up the phone or tried to help you, ASK FOR SOMEONE ELSE. She totally messed up my appointments and I almost canceled everything because of this. Called to inquire about a hair styling I needed done on a Sunday afternoon before a photo shoot, Naomi wasn't able to get me a quote (although I see quotes online, I think they're different depending on who you get as your hair stylist). I told her it would be something down, and maybe a half-do. I told her I could bring hair sponges since my hair isn't as thick as I wanted it to be, and she was like "Sponges....?" And I clarified "Yes the netted sponges that people use in sock buns, or hair buns" and she kept saying "I'm not following.." I mean what?! I know I'm not the only one who knows what that is! I made an appointment for the photo shoot anyways, confident someone would be able to help me with my hair with or without "hair sponge" knowledge. After Naomi failed to get me a quote, she offered a consultation before the actual appointment so that I can get a quote directly from the stylist. I agreed to a 3:00 time the next day. As I was parking at 2:47, I get a call from Naomi saying "Hi yes you had an appointment at 3:30 right?" After I corrected her about the time she said "yeah the stylist can't see you until 5 actually." 5?! 5 is hugely different than 3! What if I live in Katy, or Missouri City or something?? That means I just pulled up to the place 10 minutes before my appointment and have to go back home or waste 2 hours? I was pissed! I canceled the consultation and told her I'd let her know about keeping the appointment or not. THEN, Naomi goes "which appointment?" And I said "my appointment on Sunday, the 13th, at 2:00 pm? You scheduled it yesterday" and she said "oh we don't have you don't for any time. You want 2:00 pm?" I said what?! The day before I told her my photo shoot was at 4, and asked her when the best time for hair was, and SHE is the one who said 2!! I couldn't believe she 1) Tried to tell me my consultation time was 3:30 not 3. 2) asked me to come back at 5. 3) didn't even schedule me for my requested appointment. I was about to cancel everything. Thankfully I think Melissa?? Called back and rescheduled my consultation. After meeting with Regina I was hopeful in the services at Toni and Guy again. It was a quick consult, and she knew what she was talking about! The day of the style, I think Alison at the front desk was quiet as a mouse and when I arrived 10 minutes early, didn't ask me to take a seat or offer drinks, instead just said "oh okay" and stood there. A Hispanic gentleman instead stepped in and saved that situation. On to the good stuff- Regina was WONDERFUL. She styled my hair exactly how I wanted it! She is such a sweet and knowledgeable stylist, I was so happy leaving the salon. I asked for a 1960s/1970s poof with volume and slight waves/curls. She took 1 hour instead of 1.5. She gave me the best advice about my hair! Definitely coming back for a cut soon, I will update my review if I have a better/worse experience! read more
