Never going back! It hasn't even been a week since I got my gel manicure and it's already lifting from the cuticles. When I was there, I pointed out a couple of issues to the nail tech and she told me "not to worry, if I want perfect, she will give me perfect". I walked out with my nails looking like this. There was gel on my cuticles, and now my hair gets stuck in there when I shower... Before I paid, I respectfully told the cashier that I simply wasn't happy with my manicure and she asked me what was wrong with it, I showed her all the imperfections and all she said was that I had 3 days to go get it redone. At that point i didn't want to waste anymore time going there so i sucked it up and paid full price. I had gone there two other times and left unsatisfied (I live really close to Carson mall, that's why I went back). I gave them a 3rd chance but now I know to never go back because I'm never happy with their work. I paid $33 for my gel mani, I could have gotten a better manicure for only $28 in Torrance. Yeah, I'm definitely never going to this place ever again. I went to go get my nails done for prom and the lady that did them did a pretty terrible job. They're crooked and not even the same length. Not only that, but she made both my ring fingers bleed and left glue and other stuff on my fingers. She was extremely rough. The underside of my nails look pretty tragic too. I honestly wish I could get a refund because looking at my nails makes me want to cry. I should've just gone with my natural nails instead. This experience has ruined acrylics for me. This was my second visit after a looong while. The woman at the front desk was sweet and I was seated quickly. Got a mani pedi done by a man and woman. The man that was doing my manicure deliberately smacked my arm with the file, then filed my right thumb and started to bleed. I took the set off 4 days later. This is what my thumbnail looked like after (photos) a whole section of my nail was cut off. He left a huge gap while he was applying acrylic so towards the end it looked a huge mess. I spoke up while he was doing it but he tried to cover it up saying "that's not your nail" and files then uses nail cutters. hurts like hell, never going back. read more

He told me he has been in this business about two years. I got the package with the Parafin Wax. It was amazing! Kenny is thorough, gentle, and easy to look at! What a foot massage! I like coming to this establishment. I always get a pedicure in the lounge area (away from the nail/manicure area). It's a totally different vibe. It's relaxing they usually have something soothing playing on the speakers. I always try to request Nancy, she is the best. She takes her time & makes sure ur satisfied. This is my normal place to go for my manicure and pedicure. I go about every 3 weeks. Well today I got a newbie. Male and no problem. Service will be #5 with Gel and $85 which is fine. The problem came when I realized he was doing things differently because he was not familiar with the package I purchased and I really wasn't paying attention. He finished my gel before he did my massage, hot rock, and paraffin. The last thing he did was put oil on my feet. Well you can only imagine how that went walking out. I think I have to go back to my previous shop. I hate that because this place is so convenient and comfortable. I'm not a complainer so of course I let it go. I have been going to BLS in Carson for nearly 20 years. It been part of my and my husband's regular routine. I have to say Frank and Natalie are a great team. Both are very professional. Frank is great with acrylics. He's clean and quick and my nails always look natural and pretty. No lifting or breaking. Plus he's a really nice guy! Natalie does a fantastic pedicure. She is detailed in all aspects and she gives great a leg and foot massage! My toes have never looked or felt better and she is so sweet! i didn't do acrylics today so Natalie did my nails! I love this place, but at times it's so noisy like a night club, so with that being said it ruins the experience . At times it feels like you're in the ghetto , so sad . I went a cross the way to have lashes done and it cost me $100.dollars so the next day they fell off, I was out of town a few days at a special event. So I was so upset. I went back to the girl and told her what happened. So it cost me $ 20.00 more to fix my lashes and my lashes fell off two days later so I went back to complain to the owner & basically said you're out of luck. I was so upset. What is up with these people in these nails shops?! They act like they're doing you a favor...when we're the ones paying!! So I'm so DONE with these nails shops...I'm going to start doing my own nails. Why can't I find a decent place. Is it such a tall order to ask for a nail technician I can CLEARLY communicate with?...a technician that will do what I'm asking for?....a technician that understands the CUSTOMER puts food in their (and their family's) mouth!?...this is ridiculous. I came in to get a pedicure, I don't have ingrowns but the technician cuts my big toe in so deep that she has to remove more nail than usual midway I guess she gets lazy so she leaves a piece of nail deep in my side wall!!! I tell her no - that's no done...you've got to get that piece of nail out. Guess what she does...she gets upset with me (like I'm being unreasonable or something) and tells me someone else will do for me... As a fairly new customer, every visit was a different experience. Even though I requested the same person every time, that person was never available. But, this last visit made up my mind, NEVER AGAIN. I asked for a full set, i received one tip, and the others coated. I requested cuticle trim, and cuticles are worse than before. I'm very unhappy with the service I received, I had my lashes done here friendly service, but the quality and work done is very unsatisfactory & poorly done ,it appeared as if she was just stacking up the lashes & I don't know what type of glue they use but it was a bit clumpy & it was very damaging to my natural lashes , I had a good amount of lashes pulled off with the fake lash since the glue was so stiff and hard this was with me taking good care & keeping maintenance on them they didn't last a week before they started falling off on its own with my natural lashes included . It was irritating so I went in to get them "professionally remove" paid 35$ for the removal back at the location all for more of my natural lashes to get pulled off I could hear her clipping and pulling with like tweezers since the removal oil wasn't enough , I cried when I got home of all the lashes I was missing , and they still wanted me to get another set ! This is for the eyebrow threading, only. I've been coming here for years and thought I already reviewed their work. The ladies do a great job. They are friendly and fair with taking turns as you walk up. They are no longer in the middle of the mall. All eyebrow services are directly across from the spa lounge. One star is deducted because I've had a couple of ladies with very foul underarm odor. I'm sure it's cultural, but I really dislike being choked out when musty armpits are in my face. read more
