today Kevin redid my nails, had them done a week ago and it was not the best job. Asked to have two nails done and he redid the entire set. That is a good business person, only charged me $15 after I insisted on paying something. I even had a pedicure, great job... please stop by and have Kevin or one of the ladies do your nails. Kevin & Kathy always take great care of me. Kevin died my pedicures but when I bring my daughters Kathy takes care of them. I brought my oldest gif her birthday pedicure and she loved her French tips that Kathy did. I love how welcoming and they remember what we like. read more

Worst customer service, EVER!! I walked in with a smile, ready to be serviced and it was returned with the 'what do you want' face. All I wanted was a cute red nail gel mani. I sat down and immediately, the nail tech starts drilling the old gel off. Very careless with the drill, hitting my cuticles, allowing the drill to roll under the nail and slapping my hand to remove the nail debris (vs the powder puff). I was treated like I walked into a restaurant 5 minutes before they closed. read more

I went to this nail place please don't go and have the lady do your toes. She does not know how to do pedicure the guy with the glasses is really good the lady is rough and she rush and will cut your skin and she cut my nails all the way short till it hurts I told her plenty of times that she hurting me and she want to have fake conversation to throw you off then she paints like a 5 year old. I had to come home and put Neosporin cause my foot was cut. I advise you do not let the old lady do your toes. I advise you let the guy do your toes. Kevin do your nails. First, my service was done horribly and had the male nail tech with a tiger tattooed on his left arm get upset with me because of his lack of attention while polishing my nails. The vibe was definitely off, especially me trying to fix the problem before I left. Second, I used my Amex card to pay for my horrible service, and then the following day I literally received a Amex fraud message trying to confirm a purchase over $1000 at revolve & fwd at the Grove. I personally feel like I was scammed at this nail shop and will not return back. if you love this place and will still return back, try to avoid using a card, they take your card to the back and you can't see what's going on. read more

The place is clean, everyone is polite, i was in pain from a broken toe nail and it was treated with care, i was not in further pain, excellent job. I had a $45 pedi and a $20 Mani with a buff, which is $5, then u was charge $5 to remove the gel polish I came in with, the visit ended up costing $76 after the merchant fee. I have had more services included in the pedi at the Carson Mall for the price of $60 with no other charges. My only downside is that this service was a $35 pedi. Only 3 things were completed, not a higher level of a deluxe pedi. I'm just sharing my thoughts. read more

I'll do my own nails before I give my money to this establishment. I walked in on a Sunday morning at 10:30am to see if they had space for a pedicure. There were two people working on feet and all the pedicure chairs were filled. Upon entering, a woman who was working on feet turns to me and asks, "May I help you?" I replied, "I was coming for a pedicure but I see you're very busy." She then rolls her eyes, snickers, and goes back to working. No approximate wait time, nothing. Just rudeness. Dodged a bullet with that one. I'm not willingly giving money to establishments and people who blatantly disrespect me. read more

Hmm... Small place between two Carson icons: Family Fish and Ken's Ice Cream. I knew, besides the low Yelp reviews, I would eventually bite. I did one desperate eve, while I was waiting for fish. Two people in pedi chairs, I asked for a pedi. She asked me to choose my color. Plentiful. I walked over to the dusty non-massaging chair. Spoiled, I am! No massage while I wait, huh? Okay, at least the water temp is good. I waited. Apparently the guy only does acrylic hand nails, the other girl waxes and cleans, and the other lady does pedis. When I say down, I wasn't impressed with the toes of those beside me. Oh well, we're here. Standard pedi. Nothing to write home about. Seems she struggled with side cuts and filing eveness. The was girl tried to clean while I was still in the chair and messed up my pedi. Redo! $20 with callous removal read more

So now that it's been awhile things are even worse. The manicure did not good up well at all and when I went to s different salon to get my nails done they said that I didn't even have gel polish on my nails, they said that it was regular polish with a gel topcoat. 35 dollars is way too much for a manicure that isn't even using the correct products. read more

Came here for the first time about a month ago for a gel fill and a pedicure. The staff is very friendly and my nails looked amazing after my appointment. The one thing that I liked was that the people who came in while I was there appeared to be customers who had been going here for a long time, which I find refreshing. Please patronize small local businesses. Kevin's Nails is warm, friendly and their services are awesome. So glad my next appointment is coming up soon! :) read more

I came here on a whim because I was under the impression that most shops were still closed, wish I would have done more research beforehand because that wasn't true. Anyhow, this was the worst nail set I have ever had. I am so mad I didn't take any pictures when I had them, but who would want to take pictures of such a bad set. I paid 100 for my pedi and a full set , horribly over priced for the service and quality you get. I kept trying to tell them exactly what I wanted but they kept complaining and getting mad, saying that I was "changing my mind" . My pedicurist kept complaining to my nail tech, "she change her mind to much" "don't know what she want", "can't make up her mind"... when the whole time I was just trying to explain what I wanted but they didn't understand me. I left my phone in the car and couldn't show them pictures. When I went to another shop to get a fill my new tech said my nails were really ugly and not done well at all and that I shouldn't have paid for them . I 100% agree. The nail tech at Kevin's rushed thru my set, never went back to correct any mistakes, the "French tip" was very sloppy and not appealing at all. He did each French tip nail in one take and never cleaned up the lines. I would have said something, but they were already really rude and unfriendly, while saying I kept changing my mind, so I didn't even feel comfortable bringing it up! read more

All I wanted was remove the old color, shape and put gel. Charged me $25.00 and I didn't even get a fill!! RIPOFF!! My nails were all crooked and had dimples all over. Kathy gave me anxiety when she was taking the polish off with the machine .. she went from thumb nail to my pinky to my index finger 5 DIFFERENT times. Her hands felt dirty and she's rough while moving your hands. She seems like an amateur when dealing with acrylic. I was busy and didnt have time to go to my usual place .. Place has weird vibes. I am very picky about my cuticles and nail care so they really blew me away with their work. I take care of my own nails, but I needed to paint my nails and I suck at it so I got it done. They were quick, yet efficient. I know they had a bad reputation, but they are definitely shaping up. I got my acrylics done by their new employee and he was amazing! Let me say this I been going to this place for years and I really don't know what happen to Kevin he was the owner and one of the other head nail tech said he had an illness so he's not coming anymore . After his illness this place went down to crumbs first they don't sanitize thei tools. They have horrible customer service and they don't know how to do nails right . I come in after driving almost 2 hours because this particular nail tech doesn't accept appointments EVEN though they have a website for it. I EVEN CALL!! I come in asking for a simple fill and polish. The nail tech is working on one of the workers (IN THE SALON) hands and the front desk is saying that she can't do my nails because she has two people she needs to do. I said I don't believe that because she's sitting there doing one of her coworkers nails. When I say that she starts getting up to go to them lol. If she needed to do two other people's nails then why is she not doing their nails?? JUST UNPROFESSIONAL. I've spent thousands of dollars at this establishment over the years and just to be disrespected like that was honestly the last straw. Then they talk about you in their language. I will never go back there ever again. DO NOT GO THERE. SUPER UNPROFESSIONAL. NOT WORTH THE MONEY ANYMORE. They LACK CUSTOMER SERVICE. NEXT INCIDENT: IM TALKING ABOUT THE TECH LISA IN BOTH POSTS. So today, January 21, this lady has been doing my nails for about almost 2 years now since my first nail tech Frank is sick and has been sick for months and my previous nail tech as well, Liz moved to Florida. I needed someone that does designs and they said Lisa was the next best person so I decided to go with her. Today I came in for a polkadot French tip/refill and as she was doing my nails, her next appointment came in. She told the front desk to tell the lady that it will take her another 20 minutes because she still has to do the polkadot designs. This is at 12:10 PM. Mind you I came in at 11 to get started on my nails. Lisa then starts rushing on my nails messes up a FEW polkadots and uses the nail file and messed up another nail. She expected me to pay $100 of rushed work and walk away. She then started to call me names and say I'm very picky and that she doesn't want to do my nails anymore and that no one at the establishment wants to do my nails. I have been going there for over seven years. I've only had about two or three nail techs and they have all left the establishment. She is very rude and will do sloppy work when she is feeling rushed and will tell you that you are too picky. I save lives for a living and all you have to do is do my nails correctly and I'm picky? It's such an insult. Especially after giving these people hundreds /thousands of dollars over the years. I highly suggest you guys start reconsidering coming to this establishment because it has greatly changed over the years. The only person that I trust on the nail side is Natalie. She does amazing pedicures and she will always make sure that it is done to your liking. I'm actually grateful she banned me from her booking list because I don't have to deal with her nasty attitude anymore.

This place sure does bring back memories. I used to get my nails done here with my mom and sister we had a blast here and now my wife is enjoying it here. The lady is so nice always had a smile greets me as I walk into door asked if want water or food. Also the guy does excellent job on her nails never once have I had to complain. I've been patronizing this business for the past 8 years. I've had great customer service experiences here. I started bringing my Mom to this establishment a couple years ago and she refuses to go elsewhere. This is due to the caring treatment she receives. I wish I could put zero stars. My 4 year old daughter had to use the restroom following our ice cream outing and we asked if she could use the restroom and they turned us down. I come here regularly to get a full set and a pedicure. Cathy normally does my nails and she is amazing. I never have any problems always good vibes and they get the job done quickly and neatly. If you are ever in the area I recommend coming here . They treat you right! read more
