I have never written a review before but I had to say something about my experience. I was EXTREMELY dissatisfied with Mya. She was incredibly rude and our appointment went terribly right off the bat. She handed me the forms to fill out for the appointment, and when I said I had questions she told me she wasnt going to answer anything right now and to finish the form, as she checked her phone. When I finally was able to ask a question, she got extremely defensive. She insisted she sent me pre-care instructions before the appointment, however when we both checked I had never received them from her and she never sent me any. Because I wasnt aware of the precare instructions, I wasnt able to have my appointment. Her rudeness continued as told me I had wasted her time slot - even though it was her fault!!! She said she wasnt going to be able to do anything about it, and after continuous arguing she finally agreed that I could come back - which I do not plan to do anyways because I have never been so offended by a service provider in my life! Would not recommend this place to anyone. Stay away. read more

I've had two terrible experiences with the owner - she was very rude and provided poor customer service to the point where she refused service to me from a groupon. Fine I would've been a happy paying customer if you didn't want to honor my groupon - but I would never recommend her when there are many other places in the area providing same service but with service excellence. read more

This is a horrific business do not book with them whatever you do save yourself money and time!!! They do not have directions to a building, just a parking lot. I then spend an hour trying to contact and locate this place, to no avail. To then be charged a late fee, and a cancellation of my package. -150$ because of this business, very sad, go to a real business not here!!! read more

I first discovered Mya on yelp. I have had several bad reactions to waxing including burns and scabbing. I had read that sugar waxing was gentle and was interested in trying it for myself. Mya is very friendly and informative. She spent time explaining what she was doing and why she thought I had issues with previous wax. I had an eyebrow, lip and chin wax. I am happy to report that 24 hours I have had no reaction and I am very happy with the results. Mya's studio is located within Head over Heels Salon. The waiting area was pleasant. Mya's studio is very comfortable and clean. I felt confident in her hands. read more

Mya is awesome. She is super personable and friendly. Unfortunately, you can only make appointments online and the website didn't properly explain the sugaring technique. I went there to get sugared, and it ended up being a half sugaring half waxing sort of thing. That was disappointing, and the hair grew back quickly, I had lots of red bumps for a long time, and was super itchy. read more

I have never been more uncomfortable or experienced such attitude from a "professional" in my life. My advice, never go there. I called to inform Mya I was running a bit late (5-10 mins), she made it sound on the phone that this was okay with her and her schedule. Once I got there she had me fill out a form. Then she let me know I filled out the wrong form and had me fill out another. 20 minutes later she informed me that she did not have time to perform services on me (as I was late), but I would still be charged for her time. The payment part was not the only/main issue (although that conduct is disgusting for someone in the customer service field). The issue was her attitude. She did not smile, welcome me into her office or offer any advice. Instead, she violently reviewed my forms, rose her voice or sat coldly (unsure which was the most bizarre). After I mentioned I was going to write about her conduct on yelp she said "Oh, I am definitely charging this card now" and swiped away. I have never experienced anything like this before in my life. I felt threatened, scared and generally freaked out. My hopes is that her way of doing business will have her out of business someday soon. read more

First off, I got my bikini wax done by Mya Campbell (Beauty Regime) on 10/22/2012. I didn't write a review here after my service because I filled out a customer card and she had my address. This lady is pretty big and scary and I didn't want any trouble at my home. I've since moved from that location, so I'm writing a review now to warn other people about this very unprofessional person. Right after my service, I wrote a very detailed entry about my experience in my daily journal. So, even though my service happened 6 months ago, my review of my experience is very accurate as this review is from my journal entry. On10/22/2012, my roommate texted me saying that she couldn't make her bikini wax appointment. She wanted to know if I wanted to take her spot. She had already talked to Mya and Mya said that it was okay for someone to take her spot, otherwise my roommate would have to pay $25 for the service regardless. I agreed to take my roommate's spot. I had never received a bikini wax before, but was growing out my bikini line so that I could have the service done soon. So, at $25 this Groupon service definitely seemed to be worth it since I was going to be getting the service done anyway. I arrived for my appointment early & filled out a customer card. After she invited me into her office, I let her know that I was taking my roommate's spot because she couldn't make it. I told her that I was happy about the coupon because I was growing my hair out in order to have the service done anyways. She then said sneakily, "Oh, your roommate set you up". I then repeated that it wasn't a big deal and that I was going to have the service done anyways. She then smirked and said, "No, your roommate set you up". So, now I'm thinking "Huh, what does she mean by that"? I really wish I was quicker mentally at this point, because I should've seen that as a bad sign. Before the service she told me that she would not tolerate any kicking or screaming & if I kicked or screamed, the service would be over. I told her that I didn't like pain, but could take it if it was quick. She then proceeded to say, while my legs were cocked up & open on the table, "I don't know how you young girls do this...go to anybody & have this done to you. I'll need to be familiar & know the person first before I let them give me a wax". I'm thinking, WTF! Are you kidding me, lady?! I'm paying you for a service! Why are you saying this to me?! I may look young but I'm 32 years old. I didn't back out though because the service was so cheap, I figured I'll be out of here in a minute anyways. So she starts waxing, & I start squirming. She then asks if I have any children. I tell her no. She then says, "I don't know how you're gonna have any kids, because you can't take pain". Huh? Did she really just say this to me? So unprofessional!! She then keeps telling me not to kick her while she's waxing me, which I NEVER did by the way. Again, I've never had a wax done before down there but the pain seemed to be wayyy to much. The glass of wine I drank before the service to relax me did NOT help. I looked down to see what she was doing & I saw her pull the paper away from my bikini area & didn't see any wax. I asked her why wasn't there any wax on the paper. She says, "Oh, I don't wanna use all of my wax". Huh?! What does that mean? I think to myself, shouldn't you be using all the wax that it takes in order to get the job done properly? Again, I just tell myself that it's only gonna be a little bit longer. Finally, after a VERY painful experience she was finished. She never once smiled at me or tried to calm me down. She was very insensititive & has no business doing waxes!! She took this job only as an easy $25 to make. It seems that she never treated me like a real customer because I got my coupon from my roommate and didn't buy the service myself initially. But, after I told her that I was excited to get it done & was growing my hair out for the service, she should've changed her mind. I'm not sure what her problem was, but she should not be in business! Groupon customer or not, she has no business treating anyone that way. I'm so mad I didn't just walk out of there! I guess at the beginning of the appointment when she said my roommate "set me up", she was saying that since my roommate cancelled she was going to give me the worst service possible, which she did. This doesn't make any sense to me and I'm still trying to figure it out. She also left a lot of stray hairs down there, so in addition to bad customer service, the actual work was sub-par as well. For the following week or so, I experienced GREAT pain & had to apply Neosporin to the area. Ingrown hairs(which I never have) later appeared & then blemishes. I'll stick to my clippers & shaver from now on. I do a much better job! I'm glad I got enough courage to post this. If I could give her a zero, I would. Please take my advice and do not spend your money here for any reason!! read more

I was very impressed with the space and, as always, very pleased with the services I received. Her new studio is very conveniently located, has a warm (yet private) atmosphere, and she is always extremely professional. I came in for a brazilian 2 days before my wedding and was fighting a cold. Mya greeted me with "Are you sick?" I told her yes and she replied "I wish you didnt come." I told her if she had a mask I would wear it, but there was no policy that you wouldnt take anyone that is sick..2 days before my wedding. With all the stress that I had pre-wedding and being sick/losing my voice on my wedding day..this was icing on the cake. She is SO unprofessional and would never recommend her to anyone. read more

I was scheduled for a Brazilian Wax, and the morning of, I called her 4 hours before my appointment because I began Menstrating and knew I could not be serviced. She waited until 15 minutes after my scheduled appointment and proceeded to tell me that starting my period was not an excuse for cancelling my appointment and I would be charged for the services. I purchased a Groupon for a chemical peel at Beauty Regime. The spa is pristine in it's appearance and cleanliness. The owner is knowledgeable, and explains her menu of services very well. I liked her patience in ensuring that as a customer, I was aware of the various services including their pros, cons and maintenance. The chemical peel worked as I expected, but I did not return to complete my follow-up peels with the owner and went elsewhere because: She does not connect with her clients; she is extremely stand-offish and when someone is touching your body you want to feel comfortable with them. I do not like the mandatory policy of booking appointments with my credit card, and being charged for the service if I need to cancel. She never followed up with me via email or telephone after my first chemical peel. The owner has great experience and knowledge on skincare but is very rigid and comes off as being impersonal. My advice to the owner would be to hire / develop a relationship with someone who is more personable and can connect with the clients, as maybe this will balance things out and positively increase the customer's experience. read more

Ok so It was weird. Mya was very knowledgeable about what she was doing but was super stand offish. Like, she wasn't mean by any means, but if i had a question i felt uncomfortable asking which is bad because she's working for you and not the other way around. I went through with the microblading procedure and i MADE SURE I did my research on microblading before i found a reliable place to get It done. Mya didn't use numbing cream at all going in and when i did ask her to use it, she didn't let It sit so the numbing cream didn't do anything. She also didn't let me approve the color for my eyebrows and even though i really like what she did with them, the color is a wee bit too dark. The only thing she let me do or see was the shape that she drew in before the microblading began. ONLY GO HERE IF YOU ARE CONFIDENT ENOUGH TO SPEAK UP AND ASK QUESTIONS. When i was done Mya all of a sudden became very nice. I mean my eyebrows look B O M B, but the procedure that she did was a little wonky compared to everything else I've looked at. read more

I recently went to Regime for a chemical peel purchase i bought off groupon, and I have never encountered a more uncomfortable position in my life. Upon arriving, I called her to inform her that i was in traffic and was running 10 minutes late. at the time she seemed to be ok with it. then finally when i had arrived at this location i couldn't even find the room considering it had been so deserted. Next when i finally found the office i wasn't even greeted with a hello, she just tossed the papers at me as if she was paying me or something, next when i filled out the papers she called me back in to her office and gave me the biggest attitude of my life calling my lateness "funny business." I have never felt more threatened and uncomfortable in my life. After putting up with her attitude for 20 minutes I confronted her and told her I didn't like her attitude, or the way she was treating, she didn't even apologize. worst professional in the world. I found Mya at Beauty Regime through Groupon, and I admit that I do hop around for deals on Groupon to various med spas for various treatments. But when I met her, she asked a lot of questions about my skin and what I was hoping to achieve from a peel. I had bought a Groupon for a lighter peel but decided that I really wanted to medium depth peel. She was very flexible about changing the service on the spot and worked out a deal with me. The peel was very professional, as I have had many, and we got along great. She also threw in a free dermaplane prep to make the peel work better. I bought the after care kits too, which are very reasonable compared to other places and she uses really great spa skin care brands, including "Image" which is the BEST sunblock I have ever used. So I knew right away that she had a lot of knowledge about great products. I will definately go back to Mya and get more skin treatments. No large scale spa retail pressure, and just plain good service. I would recommend her! read more
