A few years ago I started a personal tradition, or ritual if you will, of having henna applied in adoration of myself; and to celebrate my birthday. I decided to try the artist here at Fleek Brows after seeing the sign in the window while shopping in the strip mall. I came in around 7:30 pm and was out by 8:00 pm. The henna application only took around ten minutes to complete. The young artist was efficient and skillful. I was definitely impressed and received many compliments here in Detroit and in Atlanta. The prices are super reasonable. I believe I paid a total of $50 for application on both hands. I requested an intricate traditional looking design on one hand and my Sun sign on the other. There is a huge parking lot as this salon is located in a strip mall at 8 Mile Road and Woodward. Though I did not receive eyebrow services, I observed a few that looked fantastic. The proprietors were friendly and warm. I decided to honor myself on more occasions than my birthday going forward. I will be back for more henna soon. While visiting this area this eye brow shop was referred to me. The first time I visited it was a slow day I requested my eyebrows be threaded and left a thick as possible. She informed me that they would look exactly alike I assumed that this was fine I didn't want that perfect airbrush look but more natural. She did a good job. I later visited this same location with the same eye brow artist months later. She was rude, in a rush and did not respect my request for services or boundaries. I requested my eyebrows brows to be threaded and left a thick as possible. She then proceeded the put wax on me. I panicked I restated that I do not do wax, I hadn't for over 20 years. She said she had to do it in the middle as if she would not put any more then applied wax again. She said my eyebrows look different I told her I know I like the natural look of them she got an attitude, wouldn't even allow me to show her a picture at this point I was ready to leave. She continued the process with thread only. Once I was done I had two matching thin pencil looking eye brows. I caught attend with her for not listening to my request as a customer. Horrible customer service. Now I have to wait for months to grow back. I would not recommend this place. read more

Moon is awesome! She does it all. I've been a customer to her for years. Since she opened. She does wax, thread, & tint on my eyebrows. I'm ever picky about my eyebrows because I have a bad scare in one of them and they are shaped differently but she gives my life when she do them for me. They do decent with brows and I've been customer for a while, but they don't abide by their business hours. They show up whenever. I've came and wasted my time and gas many times to where coming here has become an inconvenience. I've call during they're "open" hours. Never a respond, but they'll call back once they finally decide to open. I will be in search for a new eye brow place. read more

This was my first time coming here. I came in to get my brows threaded. I was greeted unprofessionally. The girl was sitting down and on her phone. I didn't expect much but being my first time and a new customer, a simple "Hi welcome to Fleek Brows!" would have been enough. There was only one other customer being worked on by an older woman. I couldn't help but observed as I was waiting in my chair. The older woman was done with the client and another client came in and sat in her chair. The client asked about henna and before she could finish the older woman's phone rang and shhh her to hold on. I personally thought that was rude. When especially the client was already talking to the older woman. I've worked in customer service for 15+ years and that is definitely not how to let someone know you'll be right with them or you'll answer their question. A simple "excuse me let me pick up this call first and I'll answer all your questions, " would have been perfect! So on to me, the girl threaded my brows and it was fast. She held the mirror to my face. I could barely see at this point as I was opening my eyes after holding down my lid and upper part of my brow, slowly trying to get my vision back from the blurriness. I could see that I wasn't missing too much brows and it was cleaned up. I got up quickly as it seemed as if I was being rushed. I paid and left 15% tip as I didn't feel the service I received was something to brag about to all my girlfriends. I came home and after finally taking a real good look at my brows I noticed a piece of my skin is missing. It's been a long time since I've had threading done but I remembered it being just as painful as waxing so I didn't think anything of it when I felt a pinch here and there. read more
