I opted for the Milk and Honey Moroccan Bath with Hanin. This service was highly recommended! I called before going to ask questions. I didn't want my hair washed because it's bone chilling cold outside. I was told that that was optional. The staff is pleasant and professional. I felt cared for, and tended to. This is the first time I had a Moroccan bath. The Jacuzzi was so relaxing along with the loofah treatment, scrub, and massage. If you want to feel relaxed and pampered, this as a winning option. I was offered water or tea at the end. They have blockers with keys and a dressing room so that you can get changed into a disposable swimsuit. They also have a nice robe that covers you. You can bring your own towel or buy one for $10. I brought my own. I'm looking forward to returning! read more

The place is nothing like a hammam. Hanin is great, whom I guess is the only one performing the body scrub and the massage? You can hear everyone talking during your massage - kinda weird, also they don't use argan oil, no hot granite stone and no mint tea. The soak off takes place in a jacuzzi tub, next to the massage table, in a lit up room. It is not your typical Moroccan experience. I would say expensive overall with little quality. read more

I wish I could give negative star ratings. We booked for our group of 3 for massages, pedicures and manicures. They were not staffed to service us. Only 1 person received a massage (not great at all). All 3 of use had pedicures and all 3 were horrible. The pedicure chairs were old with "leather" peeling, one chair's massager did not work, another the insert for the spa bubbles did not work. Two pedicures were with regular polish, but the polish was thin and the toes were not fully polished. The third pedicure was on acrylic nails, the new polished was applied without buffing the nails so of course when the new polish was applied it was chunky and the manicurist just kept applying more coats. There was only 1 person for all 3 pedicures. They had help at the end by who I think was the receptionist. She clearly had no idea how to apply nail polish. We made the wise decision to not have them attempt our manicures. I wish we had not paid for the "services". PLEASE DO NOT GO HERE!!! read more

Three friends went for a day at the spa. Paid for the deluxe pedicure, but it only included a semi warn towel and she skipped the massage. None of us got massaged with our manicure or pedicures. The manicures were the worst we've ever had. I got shellac and it was lumpy. The woman squared off my nails without asking and too short. I have to have it resume to remove the lumps. The worst was the mother and daughter argued in another language the ENTIRE time. Sometimes the daughter would use English to say "whatever, MOM" and that is exactly what I don't want to listen to when I'm spending hundreds of dollars to relax. read more

I visited here for a bikini wax with some girlfriends and ended up staying to receive service on our nails since we were running late for our appointment at another place. Anyway, Shay, her mom and other co-worker were very accommodating especially since our group was pretty big. My only con was when I was getting my toes done, my technician's arm or shirt kept brushing up on my toes and ruined the almost dry polish twice. I ended up having to redo my toe polish when I got home. Other than that, the atmosphere was amazing! And the prices are very reasonable. I'd definitely recommend coming here. Eyebrow microblading with Shay. Consultation and first microblading Feb 2018, 30 day touchup March 2018. She spends as much time as you want discussing color, shape, density, etc. and provides easy to follow postcare instructions. If she disagrees with what you envision, she is honest and is able to explain why that shape etc. won't look natural. Shay has a great artistic eye and methodical technique. I believe the salon/spa is a family business (?) as her mom also works there. Shay is very sweet and obviously has an entrepreneurial spirit - so I am happy to support this fellow hard working young woman. read more

I went there to get my eye brows done and I specifically asked for theading. Hanin started threading and then switched to using a plucker, which would have been fine had she been more patient. She just kept jabbing at my brows and ultimately ended up cutting me in multiple places with blood coming out in couple of places. The worst bit is her attitude though, she kept rolling her eyes and refused to take responsibility. The place is average but the behavior that I encountered today is enough to keep me away. So I put off doing this review for couple of months. Every time I think of what happened to me I get really upset and I can't bring myself to talk about it. A little bit of back story is that in November of last year I had my hair dyed to red professionally. I got really sick of the red but seeing as to how red is really hard to get rid of I just figured I would wait it out. So fast forward a couple of months my cousin was getting married so for her bridal shower I thought that it might be a good idea to get my hair done. So on may 21 I went in along with my mother to get my hair done. By this point I would say I had about 6 inches of roots grown in. I told the owner that I would like to get my hair lighted as much as possible. She suggested that I color my hair a light brown with carmel highlights. I agreed. Tell me why when she washed my hair after processing from the hair dye my hair was RED. When I questioned the color she said this is what I asked for. When she finally remember my hair plan she rushed over to her mixing station to see what she had done wrong. When she found out she that she had mistakenly mixed red instead of brown she panicked. So now like three people starting trying to fix her mistake by my putting god know what kind of chemicals in my hair. When it was apparent that she could not fix it she dyed my hair a medium brown. Now after this I wanted a hair cut "big mistake". The stylist if she should even be called that cut me so much long bangs that it looks like I have a mullet. This is after requesting a face frame. At the end of this nightmare I was still charged $130 which I do not think is fair. All in all this was my worst salon experience. Please never go here these people are inexperienced and have no idea what they are doing. After showering a couple of times my hair is now set at a reddish brown which kills me every time I look in the mirror. What sucks is that I didn't just pick a random salon I actually read reviews then based on reviews I chose this place. Please do not disregard my story and learn from my mistakes. read more

I had been growing my eyebrows out after the last time someone messed them up. With "virgin" eyebrows, it was really important to me that I went to a pro. After reading the reviews, I decided to try out this place despite what I considered to be a steep price. I called and made an appointment for the same day. The woman I spoke to was really nice and she was flexible when I needed to push my appointment back by an hour. When I arrived, I couldn't help but notice that their parking lot hadn't been shoveled or salted but I'm getting used to that here in Michigan. Michiganders don't seem to be big on cleaning snow. The Ladies Only sign on the door secured by a locked door, bell, & security camera brought back fond memories of my visits to Qatar and assured me that the salon is hijabi friendly. I admittedly had high expectations. Haneen welcomed me to the salon. After a brief wait and some shuffling of stations she started threading my eyebrows. But less than halfway through the job she pulled out a tweezer and immediately started picking at my skin. Recalling a previous review, I made sure to tell her right away. She explained why she was using a tweezer which I didn't mind as long as it was being used on hair. Unfortunately she kept picking at my skin. It dawned on me that perhaps she wasn't seeing too well because she kept picking my skin despite my audible flinching. Once through I wasn't offered any aloe, rubbing alcohol lotion nothing. When I finally got around to cleaning it several hours later, it turned burned terribly and turned all red. There's is a visible line above my brow of red irritated skin with small lacerations. The shape is not terrible considering what she was working with but I've certainly had better for half the price. What was done to my skin despite requesting a threading is totally unacceptable. Obviously, I will not be returning. I'd advise Haneen to stop living in denial and get some prescription glasses and/or get her her contacts prescription updated. read more

This was my first time going to a spa and decided to choose this spa based on availability, distance and of course Yelp reviews. I was not disappointed, I booked the ladies night package which was $50 each person (allotted time 90mins, mani/pedi and jacuzzi) with a friend for a 3:30 appointment. Sadly my friend was 30mins late but the people were very accommodating, they let us continue our package with the regular allotted time. I couldn't get in the jacuzzi due to having a medical Cather in my chest so I substituted it with a sauna. We was given disposable bras and underwear to wear for our experience. I thought I wouldn't be able to spend time with my friend due the substitution but the sauna is next to the jacuzzi, so it didn't interfere with spending time with each other. It was so relaxing I could talk to her or listen to the radio in the sauna (which you could change to whatever station you wanted). My friend was so relaxed in the jacuzzi she fell asleep twice. Our man/pedi was nice we couldn't get any designs or anything for our nails because the nail tech had an emergency and had to leave. They offered to reschedule or do it one at time, which we choose to go with one at time because I can't get out much due to medical reasons. But all in all I am definitely going back here when I get better. Only thing I didn't like too much was the lack of mobility for myself because I do use a walker. read more

I had an appointment with Shay today for micro blading. I have sparse eyebrows and have been having a really hard time getting them to match and look good. I searched the internet, found this salon and decided to give it a try. First of all, Shay really takes her time with you discussing the shape you want and working on the outline. I felt really good about the shape before we started. The numbing cream she uses is awesome. I barely felt anything during the process. I wasn't sure what to expect, but when I looked in the mirror when she was done, I was SO HAPPY! My brows match, they look natural and I finally feel more confident about the way I look. I really think Shay has an artisitc calling that makes her an expert at what she does. I am 47 and I've had my fair share of beauty treatments, but I don't remember ever being this happy with an end result. I came here with my whole wedding party the day before our wedding to get our nails done. I left feeling pretty disappointed - not all the staff was very friendly, their color selection was not great, and I had several of my bridesmaids struggling to keep their gel manicures done (as in the polish was sloughing off within a day of getting it). I ended up getting my gel manicure taken off later and redone by a different salon. I probably feel as though it was a bad experience because it was for my wedding, which is an important and stressful day. The salon was clean and very affordable, I would just recommend maybe bringing your own polish and not relying on this particular location for a big event. I should also note that this is a women's only salon - this doesn't affect most of their clients but it was something I was not aware of until I arrived. read more

After a stressful season of school, work, and motherhood, my mother thoughtfully booked me an appointment for a haircut and pedicure here. It's been my favorite experience at a salon hands down! Haneen was absolutely wonderful. She did a beautiful job with my haircut and blow dry. She even made us Turkish coffee. I went to get a color and a cut this morning. The haircut was the worst haircut I've ever gotten in my entire life. I was trying to tell them how I wanted the hair and the hairstylist kept suggesting layers, so I went ahead and gave in. The layers were super uneven and not blended at all. My hair just looks awful. Their website says that a single process color (which is what I got) is $40 but they charged me $60 for it plus $20 for a haircut. I have now learned that you get what you pay for. They were friendly and super nice, but my hairstylist was distracted the entire time she was doing my hair. Never returning. read more

Hanin is super sweet and talented! She made me so comfortable instantly! I absolutely loved my experience and felt like my skin was new and baby soft. This place is kept so clean too.
