The reason for the 3 stars is because of the faded blue hair black girl...the person assisting me was very nice, courteous and professional. I believe her name is Depika. Excellent customer service. The black young child with the faded blue hair and baby hair not correctly done was rude, nasty, unprofessional and should not be working there. The issue was the prices, they were not matching what was on the shelf. The black blue hair girl took the products to check the price and I proved they were incorrect. This chick told me " the price is staying the same and you don't have to buy it". I was confused and said nothing. At the counter Depika took the products and I showed her as well, she took the prices to the register and the bar codes weren't matching the product. The blue haired girl interjected " don't buy it then, we not changing the price" I ignored once again. Depika gave me the price listed and Miss blue hair once again interjected " wow a whole dollar" I responded " not your money and it's actually a dollar fifty and tax" she responded " whatever, I ain't gonna argue with you" me - that's your best bet and upon leaving stated she needed to be fired. I could not believe her attitude. Not a good look for the store and shoppers should not be attacked verbally like that. read more

I've seen ALOT of negative reviews about this establishment, but I have to tell you that I have had NOTHING but good experiences in here. I stumbled on this place mid shutdown, when businesses were allowed to reopened they did so in a limited capacity. This Beauty supply store is in a shopping center with a grocery store and a dollar tree, soooooo yea...those were the only places open for a while and happened to see it. The first time I went in, I hadn't been to the beauty supply in over 6 months, my hair wanted something new besides the WATER routine I was giving it and I wasn't totally ready for an appointment at the salon...so anyway. As I was looking for some products I stubbled upon a table in the back that had wigs on clearance. Lace Fronts, short ones, long ones, pony tails....anything you could think of in a variety of colors. I bought a couple wigs....felt VERY good about that. I've used them for the "BAD HAIR DAYS" and the good ones just depends on how I feel. Well...as things started to open back up, I've returned to some of my regular spots, but I haven't come across another local beauty supply with such an amazing selection of wigs for EVERY budget. I couldn't remember where I was when I got them the first time, I drove all around my local area until one day.....I WENT TO THE DOLLAR STORE AND THERE IS WAS!!!!!!! i was sooooo excited....I went in and bought up more inexpensive wigs. The customer service has never been disappointing, everyone is nice to me, they help me, they make suggestions and I get a GREAT discount because I have a problem and spend enough money each time to get 25% off the next time. I like it in there....and I like the prices of most of their items. Sooo whenever I get a wig itch...I will be going to Beauty Zone. read more

I've been going here for many years. Today I decided to take my mom and sister. They were looking to purchase wigs. We saw that the store closed at 7pm and figured at 6:30pm was enough time to shop. After being in the wig department for some time, I noticed the usual great customer service was missing. No one was there to assist us! When I went to the front for assistance, I was told it's 15 minutes before closing and the wig department is closed! How are we supposed to purchased the high priced wig without try-on??? The 3 of us left and thankfully purchased several wigs at the brandnew Beauty 4 U in Greenbelt. I bragged about Beauty Zone and they completely embarrassed me with the bad customer service! read more

I don't care for Beauty Zone , in Lanham Md. Just late 2 days they would not let me return unopened or not used product. Just 2 day late and all the others in there. Used to like this store until I was accused of stealing today. Went to check out and the lady behind the counter said flat out that I stole something from the store the day prior with video to show of me stealing ( with another lady she must have discussed with while I was shopping since they already had the footage pulled up and time stamps concerning the matter) but of course there was no proof on video and Instead of trying to apologize she tried to check me out thinking I would forget that I was just accused of stealing. I just had the worst and racist experience at this beauty supply store. I came in to buy henna for my hair. As I was looking for it, I saw an entire aisle devoted to SKIN LIGHTENERS. I'm sorry, but I have never seen this and I found this extremely offensive. So I was speaking to a sales associate and expressed my shock at this. all of this is happening while i'm in the middle of buying the henna. The manager steps in and starts SCREAMING AT ME. He was just yelling how its my opinion and I need to get out his store! I was so shocked! PLEASE DO NOT GO AND SPEND YOUR MONEY HERE. The "Sales associate" (in quotes because she didnt sell a thing to me) was super rude. She Didnt know where products were, she was on her phone while ringing me up.... She never greeted me and the manager and another "sales associate" were having a discussion about parental custody. I literally ran out because of the experience. ONCE AGAIN, DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY HERE. I didn't feel like a valued customer IN MY OWN COMMUNITY. Never shopping here again. read more
